Marshmallow Bunny

By CopperScaleDragon

Any yarn use a hook that creates a nice tight stitch Each bunny requires only a small amount of yarn so this project is great for using up your scraps! I used Red Heart Super Saver for the yellow, pink, lavender and green bunnies and Hobby Lobbys I Love This Yarn for the blue. My hook size was E. My finished bunnies are 6 long and 3 wide at their widest point.

Frankenbunny was created by simply using multiple colors and stitching over the
edges to give him the sewn together look.

The bunny faces were painted on using fabric paint and the other end of a brush to obtain a uniform dot of color. Just dab your brush handle in the paint and then use like a stamp for eyes and nose.

I am making a scarf from my bunnies and since one of them is Frankenbunny I wanted some expression on some of their little faces. To accomplish this I have put faces on both sides of the bunnies. One side is the normal marshmallow bunny look while the other side is the wide open eye look. To do this I used the eraser end of a new pencil as a stamp and placed the white circles of fabric paint. After they were dry I just completed the faces as I did the other side of the piece.

You can attach then ear to foot or ear to ear then foot to foot. I decided on an ear to foot attachment with the middle 2 bunnies being attached ear to ear. This makes them face the correct way on each end of the scarf. I would love to see what other uses you come up with for this bunny so be sure to post photos and send me the link! Enjoy!
