Ensure you are familiar with the Unit Rig Move Guidance Manual. Hold pre-move meeting with client to plan next rig move. Meeting agenda and final plan shall meet or exceed our minimum standard rig move criteria. Ensure all potential hazards have been identified and relavant precautions or deviations from standard move procedures, have been discussed. Ensure that an adequate towing vessel package has been provided for the mobilization and that all tow gear is in satisfactory condition. Based on the pre-move meeting if additional operational or engineering support is required, request this support through the Unit office. Review with the OIM and the client all of the Insurance Underwriter Surveyor's comments and recommendations. Incorporate the agreed recommendations in the rig move plan. Send the final plan and approval certificates to the OIM, the Client, and the Unit office. Ensure that all nautical charts for the intended route are in your possession. Ensure that a copy of the warranty surveyor's Rig Move Approval and Recommendations is forwarded to the rig prior to the rig move. Ensure Rack Phase Difference Procedure (On applicable rigs), has been discussed With OIM. Planning for move 9. to incorporate (RPD) report requirements at necessary stages throughout operation.

Review rig move plans and approval certificates with supervisory personnel. Post rig move plan and certificates where all personnel have access to it. Ensure per-move checks cover all rig move plan requirements. Ensure that an adequate towing vessel package has been provided, and all tow gear is in satisfactory condition. Discuss tow line hook up with the vessel's captains. During the pre-rig move safety meeting, inform all crew members who is in charge, and ensure that they understand the proper chain of command. Ensure that all pre-rig move check lists have been completed by the rig crew prior to jacking operations. Perform an on-site survey of the tow vessel, in accordance with the Insurance Underwriter's Surveyor recommendations. Review the stability calculations performed by the Barge Engineer satisfying yourself that vessel stability is within limits as shown in the rig's Marine Operating Manual. Ensure that the calculated draft is not over the Load Line draft as shown in the Marine Operating Manual. Stability requirements must be logged.

Verify by checks that radio beacons and emergency transmitter are in good working order. Confirm that the INMARSAT is operational. Establish and maintain watch on emergency frequencies. Obtain current weather forecast and long range weather forecast. Ensure that a current weather forecast will be received by either the tow vessel or the rig every 12 hours while the rig is underway. Verify by checks that all portable radios are in good working order. Ensure batteries are fully charged, including spare batteries. Ensure that all necessary flags and signals are displayed. Ensure that all nautical charts for the intended route are on board.

Review the rig move plan and approval certificates with Senior Pusher and attend client meeting as required. Ensure the calculated draft is not over the load line draft as shown in the Marine Operating Manual. Attend the Pre-Rig-Move safety meeting assisting the Sr. Pusher with any marine issues Ensure that the rig is secured as per the Marine Operating Manual. Position a sledge hammer and other hand tools as required at the bow for use when connecting and disconnecting tow vessels. Ensure that the sub-structure skidding bolts and pins for drillfloor are in position, including the stowage pins. Ensure that all B.O.P.'s are properly secured in the home position.
