AIMS
This module is designed to allow the students to; Acquire a sound knowledge of the application of robots in manufacturing systems. Design and implement efficient Robotic Systems. Consider the economics and safety procedures during the implementation and operation of robotic cells. Understand the fundamentals of Machine Intelligence Introduce the basic concept and techniques of Artificial Intelligence Explore and understand the main components of machine intelligence

1. Select an appropriate industrial application and design a manufacturing cell including an autonomous robot to perform the selected task. You are required to prepare a detailed design, listing all major components that will be required together with a costing. Quotations will be required. 2. Design and Implement a robotic cell using the Gryphon robot for a specific application (see list of applications from Lecturer) 12. ASSESSMENT
