Bangalore City School Olympics-2009

COMPETITION RULES AND REGULTION.

NO ENTRY FEE will be charged and entry is restricted to students of educational institutions located within the Bangalore city only. One athlete is allowed to participate in only 2 events & he/she has to select the events in his/her respective age groups only. Each school or PU College can enter up to a maximum of 4 competitors in each event, in each group & one team for relay in each age group. All competitors are required to use appropriate foot wear & competitors are not allowed to run on bare foot. All participants should come to the venue in their school uniforms & should form a contingent along with their school or PU College, flags & should assemble at 8:00 AM on 04-11-09, inside the stadium for the opening ceremony march past. INDIVIDUAL & OVERALL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP THROPHY will be awarded separately for boys & girls. Prizes& Certificates will be awarded to athletes securing first, second &third places. As per competition rule for long jump & shot put each competitor will be allowed 2 trials & 8 competitors reaching the finals in the long jump/ Throws will be allowed to additional trials and in case of high jump Event two attempts. Victory ceremony for the winners will be held on the same day of the events. Participants should carry their identity card & age proof certificate with them to produce on demand during the time of competition. The last date for conformation of entries will be 25th Nov 2009. Games for under-16yers only(boys-girls) School teams participating are the march past & Band-set competition should confirm their participation well in advance. COMPETITION ELIGIBILTY DATES. Participants should collect their chest numbers on 03-11-2009 between 4pm to 6pm at Sree kanteerava stadium.
