Company Profile Ernst & Young is one of the largest professional services firms in the world and a Big

4 accountancy firm. It provides a range of services, including accounting and auditing, tax reporting and operations, tax advisory, business risk services, technology and security risk services, transaction advisory and human capital services. Its country practices also provide legal services in those parts of the world where permitted. EY is the auditor for a large number of major global corporations. Project Objective The objective of the project was to develop an intelligent system using which any user can set up a project and report day to day activities. The system should resolve the issues associated with resource utilization, accounting, monitoring and control during a project. The client, Ernst & Young, was looking for a system which gives a fair indication of the existence and the extent of the projects and shows the deviation between expected (saving and investment) and target (saving and investment). Managers and top level people should be able to analyze the performance of each project in terms of savings, investment and time incurred, using the system. Solution Provided GrayCell developed an application called Cost Manager for Ernst & Young to help them identify the scope of the project, estimate the work involved and create a project schedule. It allows managing an unlimited number of projects within an organization. Cost Manager keeps the team and management up to date on the project's progress. The focus of the application is on fulfilling the original design plans and indicating deviations from these plans. The project was developed using the .NET technology framework specifically ASP.Net with C# and SQL Server.
