bin Hitam, the Chairman of the Parent-TeacherAssociation (PTA) , teachers and parents. On behalf of the school, l would like to thank thecommittee members of PTA for organizing this annual meeting .I appreciate their great works.Beside this, I thank all teachers and parents who are present this evening for sparing you time.Without you this meeting will be a failure. Ladies and gentlemen, I take this opportunity to congratulate all members of PTA. Iam glad that everyone here has made it a success. Last year, we successfully organized fewprogrammes such as the annual school sports , prize giving day , gotong-royong projects andother school events. Some of the programmes were organized to develop and encourageintegration among parents, pupils and teachers. The interaction among us is a basis to ahealthy, peaceful, harmonious and progressive community. The work is successful only whenwe build a strong partnerships with the school. PTA is the most effective way to engagewith the school. With more support from the parents, we hope to widen the PTA programmesin the future. The performance of students in UPSR for last year showed major improvementcompared to the previous year. This achievement could not have been possible without thehard work of the pupils and the dedicated teachers. The PTA also played a supportive role inmotivating the pupils to perform well in the examination. The PTA had arranged for variousseminars and talks for the students. High achievers in the UPSR examination were givenrewards by PTA as a recognition for their achievement and to motivate other pupils to strivefor excellence. Parents, we need to communicate and work with you. We need your input and support.Your involvement with school tells your children that you care about what they are doing inschool. Support the school in whatever ways you can. Teachers and parents need to acttogether since our children are our future. Be an agent of change. Voice your ideas andconcern with teachers who have a similar vision and hope for your children and theireducations. We all have responsibility to make world better for the children. That is PTAmission and that is why we joined PTA. Before I end my speech. I hope that everyone here will be able to carry out our dutiesand responsibilities towards PTA. I truly believe that our co-operation and integration arekeys to success as a proverb said Little drops of water make a mighty ocean. Teachers andparents, I am indeed grateful to you and your kindness. Thank you.
