Everybody in their life have important moments where they got to decide what to do, though what they decide might be either the right or wrong choice and the outcome of it will affect them and the people around them. Hamlet is a character with a big power and along his story he has to take several decisions, and often he finds himself questioning what to do. Hamlet is pressured to act in some ocassions and sometimes his emotions run also with his judgement, but no matter what the result of his actions affect him and others in many other ways. Hamlets first big decision is when he has to decide wether to accept or not to avenge his fathers death as the ghost demanded it So art thou shalt hear, I am thy fathers spirit revenge his foul and most unatural murder (Hamlet, Act 1 Scene 5). At this moment Hamlet is mixed with emotions, he learns what really happened with his dad and whats going on Denmark. He debates on what to do; at the same time the ghost is pressuring Hamlet to kill Claudios. In the end he swears to avenge his father My tables meet it is I set down that one may smile and smile be a villain I have swornt (Hamlet, Act 1 Scene 5). Along his story Hamlet gambles with his doubtness and assertiveness; and this really impacts him when it comes to the moment to decide, especially when it is to fullfill his task to avenge his dad. First he is really decided to act as soon as possible Why, what an ass am I! This is most brave, that I, son of a dear father murdered prompted to my revenge by heaven and hell (Hamlet, Act 2 Scene 2). Then he had an opportunity to act but he doubts for several reasons and he regrets it Excitements of my reason and my blood, and let all sleep, while to my shame I see the imminent death My thoughts be bloody or be nothing worth (Hamlet, Act 4 Scene 5).

One of Hamlets decisions of how he treated the love of his life (Ophelia) hitted her bad. Sadly, the results of this master plan and that Hamlet killed Polonious (Ophelias dad) drives her crazy and in the end takes her to her death (accident?) A sister driven into desprate terms, whose worth, if praises may go back again One woe doth tread upon anothers heel, so fast they follow your sisters drowned, Laertes (Hamlet, Act 4 Scene 7). In addition, his decision of taking so long to act beacause of fear, doubt, and lack of cold heart to fullfill his task becomes Hamlets damnation. In the end, he accomplished his task of killing Claudios, but in the way taking Polonious, Ophelia, Gertrude and his own life to the tomb Oh my dear Hamlet! The drink, the drink! I am poisoned O, I die, Horatio! The potent poison quite oercrows my spirit (Hamlet, Act 5 Scene 2). In conclusion, someone else can manipulate everybodies decisions or by some specific reason though in the end, you are the one that has the power to decide and accept with resposibility its effects. In this case, it was Hamlets decision that in the end they become the title of this novel The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.
