Description of the learner: The learner is a mother that needs more information regarding on cough and colds and its management. She is able to understand Ilocano, Tagalog and English Learning Need: How to manage cough and colds Learning Diagnosis: Knowledge deficit related to lack on information resources on cough and colds Goal: The patient will be able to learn at least some of the home remedies for cough and colds after 15 minutes of discussion. Definition Coughs and colds are usually caused by a viral infection. Coughing is the body's way of removing foreign material or mucus from the lungs and upper airway passages.

Home Remedies A good home remedy is safe, inexpensive, and as beneficial as OTC medicines. They are also found in nearly every home. Here is how you can treat your childs symptoms with simple but effective home remedies instead of medicines. Runny Nose: Just suction or blow it. Blocked Nose: Use nasal washes.
