Event Helaman begins his ministry. Many dissensions in the church. Grew proud and rich. Amalickiah conspires to be king. Moroni raises the title of liberty. Amalickiah flees to the land of Nephi. Amalickiah becomes king of the Lamanites Amalickiah gathers an army to go against the Nephites. They march forth to Ammonihah and are dissapointed that Ammoniah has been fortified and decide not to attack. They march to the city of Noah, attack and are thoroughly defeated. The surviving Laminates flee back to the land of Nephi. Amalickiah is very upset and swears to drink the blood of Mornoi. Moroni fortifies the lands. Drives Lamanites out of the east wilderness. Nephite lands are fortified from from East sea to West sea. Nephites prosper. Not a happier time since the days of Nephi. Morianton dissents and is defeated. Pahoran becomes chief judge. King-men attempt to overthrow the Nephite government. Amalikiah gathers a Lamanite army and marches toward toward Nephite lands. King-men refuse to fight Lamanites. Moroni's army engages and defeats king-men. Lamanites attack land of Moroni by the sea. Lamanites conquer the cities of: Nephihah, Lehi, Morianton, Omner, Gid and Mulek which were all near the east seashore. Amalikiah marches toward Bountiful to try and get to the land northward but is repulsed by Teancum.

Teancum kills Amalikiah in his sleep Ammoron appointed king and returns to land of Nephi, gathers men and returns to attack Nephites on the west sea. Teancum maintains status quo on the east sea waiting for more men Moroni sends men to Teancum with orders to maintain cities and protect pass to north Moroni dealing with Lamanites on the west sea

Teancum has orders to attack Mulek but cannot and returns to Bountiful Moroni arrives in Bountiful War council with Moroni, Teancum et. al. Lamanites tricked into leaving Mulek and chase Teancum to Bountiful but are surrounded by the Nephites. Moroni wounded, Jacob (Zoromite) slain. Lots of Lamanite prisoners taken. Lehi given charge of Mulek.

Lamanites prisoners taken by Teancum back to bountiful. Prisoners forced for fortify Bountiful. Moroni continues to prepare for war Dissension amoungst the Nephites allow Lamanites to take several cities in the west.

In Zarahemela the people of Ammon become concerned for the Nephites, desire to take up arms, convinced by Helaman to keep their covenant. Sons who had not entered into the covenant assemble and take up arms. Helaman marches at the head of the 2000. 54 55 63(29) Moroni and Ammoron exchange epistles. Moroni rejects Ammoron's offer and retakes the prisoners held in the city of Gid by stratagem. Nephites begin to be successful.
