PRESIDENT - PV/T INC, Mount Laurel, NJ. (Now a Subsidiary of Consarc an Inductotherm Group Co., Rancocas, NJ.)

1982 - 2005

During my 23 year tenure I progressed in a series of positions from Engineering Manager to Product Manager to Sales Manager to General Manager and then President for 18 years. PV/T is an engineering and manufacturing company engaged in the sale of vacuum furnaces. I prepared pre-engineering calculations, estimates, quotations, sales presentations, closed orders, managed production, shipment, installation and commissioning of furnace systems of the following product lines; 1) Vacuum Heat Treating Furnaces utilized for brazing aircraft & automotive heat exchangers, electronic components and cryogenic plate fin heat exchangers, 2) Vacuum Investment Casting Furnaces utilized in the production of super alloy single crystal jet engine and industrial gas turbine blades and vanes, 3) Vacuum Master Melt Furnaces for casting ingots of super alloys, precious metals, rare earth metals and battery alloys, 4) Inert Gas Atomization Powder Metal Furnaces. Accomplishments at PV/T Inc.: Sold, engineered and managed an average of five large capital equipment orders annually. Transformed the company from a job shop to a standard product company. Under my supervision, engineering design of the company product lines was focused on constant improvement to enhance performance and improve profitability for the user. Automation features were incorporated to improve process quality and reduce manpower. The companys reputation was enhanced resulting in repeat business. Managed financial performance, the ExIm Bank Credit Line and P&L profitability. Designed, patented and sold $ 2.5 million of equipment to the Air Bus Consortium companies that are producing components for the AirBus A-380 jumbo passenger airplane.

CAREER PATH PV/T Inc., mentioned above, was sold to Consarc / Inductotherm in 2003. As a condition of sale, I and other key personnel were given a 2 year continuation employment contract with a conditional 5 five year non-compete which expired in 2010. Consarc personnel were trained and assumed full responsibility for PV/T products. To honor the non-compete, I chose employment as a Contract Project Manager from 2005 through to 2011 as described below.
