MEMORIAS DE DISEO
Las siguientes memorias han sido adoptadas por TDM S.A. con el propsito de efectuar un anlisis preliminar. Todas las memorias deben ser verificadas por escrito por un profesional especialista previamente a la construccin. 1. Metodologa de Diseo Metodologa AASHTO, a travs del manual para diseo y construccin de muros de suelo mecnicamente estabilizado de la FHWA Publicacin N FHWA NHI 00 043. NHI Curso N 132042 (2001). Los muros de Suelo Reforzado han sido diseados en base a los parmetros de suelos y sobrecargas proporcionados por el cliente. 2. Geometra del Muro Este proyecto consiste en el diseo de seis muros Mesa: Muros 1-2: Dos Muros de 2.03m hasta 6.30m de altura mxima, con una longitud aproximada de 58.50m cada uno. Muros 3-4: Dos Muros de 1.83m hasta 3.67m de altura mxima, con una longitud aproximada de 24.70m cada uno.

El paramento de la estructura ser vertical y estar conformado por bloques de concreto de fachada rugosa de 280Kg/cm2 de resistencia a la compresin. 3. Parmetros de Suelos adoptados para el diseo

Suelos de Relleno: El material a emplear como RELLENO REFORZADO SOBRE LAS GEOMALLAS deber cumplir con la siguiente granulometra recomendada por AASHTO y la FHWA:

Relleno de Filtro: 30 cm. de relleno de filtro/drenaje se debe colocar detrs de la fachada de bloques de concreto. Este material debe ser menor de 1, bien gradado, grava o roca limpia, y debe cumplir con la siguiente granulometra recomendada por AASHTO y FHWA:

Fachada Bloque de concreto de dimensiones estndar, color cemento, de fachada rugosa, elaborado con cemento tipo I y 280Kg/cm2 de resistencia a la compresin.

Sobrecargas Sobrecarga viva: Carga uniformemente distribuida equivalente de 12.00kPa (Adoptado). Carga Ssmica (aceleracin horizontal mxima a nivel del suelo): Como efecto ssmico fue considerado el factor de 0.3g.

Los factores de reduccin empleados para el clculo de la resistencia a la tensin a largo plazo (LTDS) de las geomallas estn basados en las recomendaciones de AASHTO a travs del manual FHWA NHI 00 043 (Pg. 71 a 79). El clculo de la tensin a largo plazo (LTDS) se realiz de acuerdo a GRI-GG4(a) y FHWA (a travs de FHWA NHI 00 043) = Tult / (FSdao construccin x FRdurabilidad x FRcreep x FSinsertidumbres), para FSinsertidumbres se us 1.0. Estos factores de reduccin son considerando un periodo de diseo de 120 aos. 7. Diseo Hidrosttico El nivel fretico se asumi lo suficientemente profundo como para no afectar la estabilidad de la estructura.

Anlisis de Estabilidad La metodologa AASHTO (FHWA N NHI-00-043) emplea 02 tipos de anlisis: esttico y pseudoesttico, los cuales incluyen estos casos dentro del procedimiento normal de diseo. Un resumen de la consideracin de las cargas por el software y la metodologa AASHTO se detalla a continuacin: Luego, las cargas a considerar en cada tipo de anlisis sern asumidas conforme muestra la Figura 01 (referencia: Metodologa AASHTO a travs del manual FHWA N NHI-00-043, figura 23 de la pgina 89):

Los factores de seguridad considerados en el presente diseo cumplen con los mnimos requeridos por la AASHTO y la FHWA en su documento FHWA N NHI-00-043.

1.-DESCRIPCION
Este trabajo consistir en la provisin e instalacin del sistema de Muros de Suelo Reforzado cuya fachada estar conformada por bloques de concreto prefabricados unidos entre si por conectores de polietileno de alta densidad reforzados con fibra de vidrio a los cuales se fijarn geomallas uniaxiales de polietileno tipo 2 y tipo 3 como refuerzo principal de la estructura para absorber las tensiones generadas por los empujes del suelo retenido, permitiendo de esta manera conformar estructuras de contencin lo suficientemente resistentes para controlar las solicitaciones actuantes.

3.-MATERIALES
Los materiales que se emplearn en la construccin de los muros de suelo mecnicamente estabilizado debern ser materiales certificados que cumplan exactamente las caractersticas definidas en la presente especificacin, bajo ninguna circunstancia se emplearn geomallas polimricas, bloques y conectores que no sean compatibles con lo presentado a continuacin:

3.0.1. FABRICACIN
Las unidades de concreto debern ser fabricadas por una empresa aprobada y/o un fabricante de bloques de concreto autorizado. Las geomallas y los conectores debern ser fabricados de acuerdo a las especificaciones indicadas en el diseo. Se debe adjuntar certificados de calidad de cada elemento.

3.0.2. GEOMALLAS UNIAXIALES DE POLIETILENO


Las geomallas debern ser estructuras polimricas rgidas (polietileno de alta densidad, HDPE) fabricadas para aplicaciones en construccin, inertes al ataque de agentes qumicos y con una resistencia a la tensin mnima de acuerdo a las Memorias de diseo y/o Notas de construccin del proyecto. Las geomallas estructurales debern ser de estructura integral, fabricadas partiendo de una lmina polimrica agujereada con un sistema controlado de aperturas, que garantice uniones integrales capaces de mantener la continuidad de todas sus propiedades a travs de su estructura y debe ser utilizable para reforzar suelos o rellenos compactados, mejorando su estabilidad a largo plazo en aplicaciones bajo carga sostenida. Bajo ninguna circunstancia se emplearn mallas soldadas, tejidas o metlicas. La geomalla estructural deber poseer un mdulo real inicial y un alto grado de estabilidad dimensional suficiente para causar que la carga aplicada se transfiera al refuerzo a niveles de deformacin muy bajos sin que la estructura reforzada sufra deformaciones. La geomalla estructural deber cumplir con las siguientes caractersticas: a) alta resistencia a la prdida de capacidad de carga o integridad estructural cuando la geomalla se somete a esfuerzos mecnicos en la instalacin; b) alta resistencia a la deformacin cuando la geomalla se somete a esfuerzos aplicados durante su uso; c) alta resistencia a la prdida de capacidad de carga o integridad estructural cuando la geomalla se somete a esfuerzos ambientales a largo plazo. La geomalla estructural deber resistir fuerzas aplicadas durante su uso por trabazn mecnica con: a) suelos y materiales de relleno compactados; b) secciones contiguas de geomalla traslapadas y empotradas en suelos y materiales de relleno compactados; c) conectores mecnicos rgidos como bodkins, pines o ganchos.

La geomalla estructural deber tener las caractersticas indicadas en la tabla siguiente:

NOTAS:
1. Los valores indicados son los valores mnimos promedio de rollo determinados por el mtodo de ASTM D-4759 salvo que se especifique lo contrario. Los valores mnimos promedios de rollo (MARV) son valores estadsticos iguales a los valores promedio menos dos veces la desviacin estndar. 2. La resistencia real a la deformacin al inicio de la colocacin de la carga se mide va ASTM D-6637 (ensayo a 10% de longitud por minuto, longitud definida como la mayor de 2 aperturas 200mm) sin deformar el material bajo carga antes de medir esa resistencia o usando el mtodo de medida de tangente secant o offset para que no influya en la propiedad de resistencia. 3. La capacidad de transferencia de carga se mide va GRI-GG2-87. Expresada como un porcentaje de la resistencia a la tensin ltima. 4. La resistencia a la carga flexural se mide sobre la base de ASTM-D5732-95, usando una muestra de 864mm de longitud y un ancho equivalente a una apertura del producto. 5. Resistencia a la prdida de capacidad de carga o integridad estructural sujeta a ambientes qumicamente agresivos de acuerdo al ensayo de inmersin EPA 9090 6. Resistencia a la prdida de capacidad de carga o integridad estructural al exponer el material a 500 horas de luz ultravioleta y ambientes agresivos de acuerdo al ensayo ASTM D4355-05. 7. Se utilizan Factores de Reduccin para calcular la resistencia admisible de la geomalla para aplicaciones de cargas a largo plazo. La resistencia admisible (Tadm) se determina reduciendo la resistencia ltima (Tult) con Factores de Reduccin por daos de instalacin (FRdi), Creep (FRcr), durabilidad qumica y biolgica (FRd=FRdq*FRdb) de acuerdo a GRIGG4-05. El diseo de la estructura en que se usen geomallas, incluyendo la seleccin de los Factores de Reduccin apropiados y el periodo de vida de diseo, es la responsabilidad de un ingeniero profesional externo encargado de sellar los planos del proyecto. 8. El valor mnimo se basa en ensayos de dao de instalacin en arenas, limos y arcillas. Suelos ms gruesos requerirn valores de FRdi mayores. 9. El Factor de Reduccin por Creep se determina para una vida de diseo de 120 aos y temperatura del suelo de 20, usando tcnicas de extrapolacin estndar con data de ruptura por Creep obtenida siguiendo el procedimiento de ensayo ASTM D5262-04. La vida de diseo de la estructura terminada puede variar. 10. 3.0.3 CONECTORES DE POLIETILENO DE ALTA DENSIDAD


Los conectores deben ser elementos fabricados a base de polietileno de alta densidad (HDPE) y reforzados con 30% de incrustaciones de fibra de vidrio (grado-E) basado en ASTM D578 y se emplearn para asegurar una absoluta conexin mecnica positiva entre la geomalla y las unidades de concreto.

El conector de polietileno debe cumplir con las siguientes dimensiones nominales: 2.9 (73.6mm) de largo 2.0 (50.8mm) de alto
1.3 (33.0mm) de ancho

3.0.4 BLOQUES DE CONCRETO


Debern ser unidades fabricadas a base de cemento, agua y agregados con medidas especficas de acuerdo a los planos de los bloques Standard, las mismas que debern presentar unas ranuras para insertar los conectores de polietileno. Los bloques de concreto debern ser colocados sin ningn tipo de material cementante fijndose slo con los conectores, y debern cumplir con la funcin de paramento de la estructura, detener la erosin del relleno y proveer a la estructura de un tratamiento arquitectnico adecuado.

El peso de las unidades de concreto deber ser de 35Kg. aproximadamente, el mismo que combinado con su inclinacin, deber ser capaz de proveer una resistencia al deslizamiento inicial a lo largo de la base de las unidades apiladas y proveer suficiente resistencia al vuelco para bajas alturas de muros. Las unidades de concreto debern ser fabricadas de acuerdo a las dimensiones nominales: 8x18x11 (Alto x largo x ancho). Los bloques de concreto debern tener un mnimo de resistencia a la compresin a los 28 das de 280Kg/cm2 (4,000.00psi).

3.0.5 LOSA DE NIVELACIN


Se deber construir una losa de nivelacin de concreto simple (sin acero de refuerzo) para establecer los alineamientos horizontales y verticales de la fachada de los muros de contencin de suelo reforzado. El concreto tendr una resistencia mnima a los 28 das de 210 Kg/cm2. La losa de nivelacin deber construirse tpicamente de acuerdo a las medidas siguientes: 15 cm. (6 pulg.) de alto y 60 cm. (24 pulg.) de ancho.

3.0.6 MATERIAL DE RELLENO


El relleno reforzado deber estar conformado por material de baja plasticidad, granular y con un bajo contenido de finos. La gradacin aceptable del material depende de las especificaciones del proyecto, pero normalmente gobernados por las normas AASHTO. Las gradaciones especificadas en las normas se muestran en la tabla adjunta: AASHTO

3.0.7 MATERIAL DE FILTRO


Detrs de las unidades de concreto se coloca una capa de relleno de filtro/drenaje de 30cm mnimo de espesor, con dos finalidades fundamentales: Mejorar el drenaje de cualquier tipo de infiltracin de agua en la zona reforzada. Por tanto, se requiere un material de relleno selecto, tpicamente una arena bien gradada o una mezcla de arena gruesa con un buen agregado.

Actuar como un filtro natural en la interseccin de los bloques de concreto con el suelo reforzado evitando as una fuga de finos a causa de escorrentas internas.

AASHTO proporciona las gradaciones y especificaciones para el material de filtro/drenaje junto al relleno reforzado. Las especificaciones para este relleno se muestran en la tabla siguiente: AASHTO

METODOS DE EJECUCION
Antes de la construccin del muro de suelo reforzado, el Contratista deber limpiar y acondicionar el rea, removiendo suelo superficial, escombros, races u otros materiales de desecho y/o orgnicos. Todo suelo no apto debe ser sobre-excavado, reemplazado y compactado con el material de relleno reforzado cumpliendo las especificaciones del proyecto o de acuerdo a las indicaciones del Supervisor. El contratista deber excavar hasta las lneas y cotas que se describen en los planos de construccin o segn las instrucciones de la Supervisin. Las reas excavadas de ms, debern ser llenadas con material de relleno compactado (de acuerdo a las especificaciones del proyecto). El contratista deber rodillar la superficie y contar con la aprobacin del Supervisor antes de la colocacin del relleno y la instalacin de la primera capa de geomalla de politileno. El contratista deber instalar un encofrado para construir la losa de nivelacin, la cual deber ser de concreto no reforzado, de acuerdo a las especificaciones descritas en el tem 2.0 y los planos del proyecto, que asegure la completa horizontalidad de la superficie antes de la colocacin de la primera hilada de concreto. Tpicamente se vierte una losa de nivelacin de treinta (30) cm. ms ancha (15 cm. a cada lado) que las dimensiones nominales de la profundidad del bloque (18 pulg.) para tomar en cuenta las posibles curvaturas del muro y para asegurar un apoyo completo para las unidades inferiores. Es imperativo que la losa de nivelacin se coloque con precisin para minimizar los problemas en la colocacin de las unidades de concreto. La altura de la losa de nivelacin debe ser como mnimo de 15cm.

Una vez completada la losa de nivelacin y aprobada por la supervisin, el Contratista proceder a instalar la primera hilada de bloques de concreto. Las unidades de concreto debern colocarse de modo que los costados se toquen y la superficie texturada quede hacia afuera. La primera hilada debe estar precisamente colocada, cuidadosamente espaciada y nivelada para facilitar la construccin y mejorar el aspecto del muro. El contratista podr establecer el alineamiento del muro de suelo reforzado utilizando una cuerda o lnea de tiza colocando dicha lnea en la losa de nivelacin a lo largo de los extremos inferiores - posteriores de las unidades. Antes de instalar la segunda hilada y cada hilada posterior, el Contratista deber barrer la parte superior de las unidades sobre las cuales se ha de colocar la siguiente hilada. El no hacerlo causar problemas para asentar y nivelar las unidades y aumentar la probabilidad de que se produzcan grietas en las unidades debido a las concentraciones de carga a medida que se colocan las hiladas adicionales. El Contratista deber apilar los bloques de concreto con trabazn corrida, en forma similar a la construccin estndar de los muros de mampostera y sin ningn tipo de material cementante. No es necesario llenar las cavidades de los bloques de concreto. El Contratista deber instalar los conectores de polietileno, de tal manera que las salientes del conector estndar encajen en las aberturas de la geomalla sobre la ranura del conector de cada lado de la parte superior de las unidades de concreto, en las hiladas que reciben geomalla. En las hiladas que no reciben geomalla, el Contratista deber colocar un conector estndar en cada una de las ranuras para conectores en la parte superior de las unidades de concreto. El Contratista deber instalar los conectores con los indicadores en la parte superior del conector orientados en el sentido indicado en los planos del proyecto. El Contratista deber colocar la fila adicional de bloques de forma escalonada, halar los bloques hacia la cara frontal del muro de suelo reforzado hasta que hagan contacto con los conectores de la parte inferior. El Contratista deber tender la geomalla en la elevacin y orientacin indicada, con las barras transversales paralelas a la cara del muro del suelo reforzado y enganchadas a los extremos de los conectores en la ranura del bloque segn los planos de detalles constructivos, lo especificado por el fabricante de las geomallas en sus manuales de control de calidad o segn las instrucciones del Supervisor. Una vez desenrollada la geomalla en su posicin final, el Contratista deber tensionar la geomalla a mano hasta que est completamente tensa, sin arrugas y totalmente tendida en el suelo. El Contratista debe mantener los paneles de geomallas en su lugar con estacas, pasadores, bolsas de arena, o rellenos, segn los requisitos de las propiedades del llenado, procedimientos de colocacin del relleno, condiciones climticas o segn las instrucciones del Supervisor.

El Contratista deber tender la geomalla de polietileno directamente sobre la superficie horizontal del relleno compactado y cubrirlo con la capa de relleno siguiente, el cual ser compactado al 95% de PROCTOR estndar, en concordancia con ASTM D698-98. El Supervisor debe verificar que se eliminen las arrugas de la geomalla hasta que est tirante y anclarlo con estacas y/o varillas, para luego distribuir el relleno con movimientos que se alejen del frente del muro o que sean paralelos a l. De este modo, cualquier arruga que se forme tender a desplazarse hacia el extremo libre (no conectado) de la geomalla, adicionalmente el Contratista puede remover las estacas utilizadas para fijar la posicin del extremo inferior de la geomalla una vez que se haya colocado el relleno para volver a usarlas en las secciones posteriores. Otra opcin es introducir una horquilla en el extremo inferior de la geomalla y eliminar la arruga haciendo palanca hasta que se haya colocado el relleno en la geomalla. La eliminacin de las arrugas en la geomalla antes de la colocacin del relleno evitar el movimiento del frente del muro debido al traslado de la arruga hacia el frente del muro. Para prevenir deflexiones excesivas en el muro de suelo reforzado, el Contratista debe usar solamente equipo de compactacin mecnico liviano, a 1.0m de la cara posterior de los bloques de concreto. El Contratista no deber utilizara equipos de construccin con orugas (maquinaria pesada) directamente sobre la geomalla de polietileno (mnimo 15cm de relleno sobre la geomalla). El Contratista podr utilizar equipos con ruedas de goma (neumticas) sobre la geomalla expuesta, siempre y cuando circulen a velocidades menores a 16 Km./h (10mph) y en lnea recta. El Supervisor no permitir frenar bruscamente y se minimizarn los giros de equipos con ruedas para evitar desplazamientos y daos en la geomalla. No se permitir el ingreso de ningn tipo de vehculos directamente sobre la geomalla si causa dao al geosinttico, si la subrasante est bombeando o formando baches o si el Supervisor no lo cree conveniente. El Contratista instalar detrs de los bloques de concreto prefabricado, como mnimo 300mm de relleno de libre drenaje, con la finalidad de controlar la perdida de material de relleno por las ranuras de los bloques de concreto y evitar la debilitacin del suelo reforzado. El Supervisor deber controlar que el material de filtro no se contamine con el material de relleno y se instale de acuerdo a las especificaciones del Proyecto.

METODOS DE MEDICION
El paramento de la estructura conformado por los bloques de concreto y conectores deber ser medido en metros cuadrados de fachada de muro y los refuerzos de geomallas medidos en metros cuadrados contabilizados de las secciones indicadas en los planos del proyecto, de acuerdo con lo que exija la especificacin respectiva o las modificaciones ordenadas por el Supervisor. Este metrado excluye los traslapes.

BASES DE PAGO
Las cantidades aceptadas de fachada de muro y geomallas debern ser pagadas al precio unitario por metro cuadrado indicado en el contrato, por toda obra ejecutada de acuerdo tanto con esta seccin como con la especificacin respectiva del fabricante de los materiales y aceptada a satisfaccin por el Supervisor.

ANEXO 2.0
MANUAL DE INSTALACIN MURO DE SUELO REFORZADO CON FACHADA DE BLOQUES DE CONCRETO

GUIA PARA LA INSTALACION DEL SISTEMAS DE MUROS DE SUELO REFORZADO CON BLOQUES DE CONCRETO

1. Preparacin del Sitio Antes de la construccin del muro reforzado, se limpiar y acondicionar el rea del relleno reforzado, removiendo suelo superficial, escombros, races u otros materiales de desecho y/o orgnicos. Todo suelo no apto debe ser sobre-excavado, reemplazado y compactado con el material de relleno reforzado cumpliendo las especificaciones del proyecto o de otra forma instruida por el propietario o representante del propietario. Las fundaciones del suelo/subsuelo debern ser excavadas hasta las lneas y cotas que se describen en los planos de construccin o segn las instrucciones del Ingeniero. Las reas excavadas de ms, debern ser llenadas con material de relleno compactado (de acuerdo a lo especificado en el tem 6). Las fundaciones del suelo/subsuelo debern ser rodilladas antes de la colocacin del relleno y la instalacin de la geomalla de polietileno. Esto debe realizarse antes de instalar cada capa subsiguiente de geomalla.

2. Construccin de la losa de Nivelacin Se conformar un encofrado para construir la losa de nivelacin, la cual ser de concreto no reforzado (fc = 210 Kg/cm2) y tiene como finalidad asegurar la completa horizontalidad de la superficie para poder proceder a la colocacin de la primera fila de bloques de concreto.

Tpicamente se vierte una losa de nivelacin treinta (30) cm. ms ancha (15 cm. a cada lado) que las dimensiones nominales de la profundidad del bloque (11 pulg.) para tomar en cuenta la curvatura del muro y para asegurar un apoyo completo para las unidades inferiores. Es imperativo que la losa de nivelacin se coloque con precisin (perfectamente nivelada) para minimizar los problemas en la colocacin de las unidades de concreto. La altura de la losa de nivelacin debe ser como mnimo de 15cm.

3. Instalacin de los bloques de concreto Una vez completada la losa de nivelacin, se puede instalar la primera hilada de bloques. Las unidades de concreto deben colocarse de modo que los costados se toquen y la superficie texturada quede hacia afuera. La primera hilada debe estar precisamente colocada, cuidadosamente espaciada y nivelada para facilitar la construccin y mejorar el aspecto del muro. Debe establecerse el alineamiento del muro utilizando una cuerda o lnea de tiza colocndose dicha lnea de tiza en la losa de nivelacin a lo largo de los extremos inferiores - posteriores de las unidades. Antes de instalar la segunda hilada y cada hilada posterior, debe barrerse la parte superior de las unidades sobre las cuales se ha de colocar la siguiente hilada. El no hacerlo causar problemas para asentar y nivelar las unidades y aumentar la probabilidad de que se produzcan grietas en las unidades debido a las concentraciones de carga a medida que se colocan las hiladas adicionales. Las unidades se apilan con trabazn corrida, en forma similar a la construccin estndar de los muros de mampostera y sin ningn tipo de material cementante. Cada hilada de unidades de concreto debe ser perfectamente nivelada tanto longitudinal como transversalmente.

De presentarse algunos desniveles en las hiladas de bloques de concreto, se debern pulir los bloques con una amoladora elctrica o de ser necesario calzaduras, solo se debern emplear los restantes de geomalla.

4. Insertar Conectores en las Ranuras: Limpiar la superficie e instalar los conectores de polietileno, de tal manera que las salientes del conector estndar encajen en las aberturas de la geomalla sobre la ranura del conector de cada lado de la parte superior de las unidades de concreto. En las hiladas que reciben geomalla y en las hiladas que no reciben geomalla, debe colocarse un conector estndar en cada una de las ranuras para conectores en la parte superior de las unidades de concreto. Es importante que los indicadores en la parte superior del conector estn orientados en el sentido correcto para un muro "inclinado" o uno "vertical". La colocacin del conector estndar con los indicadores apuntados hacia el frente del muro resultar en un muro casi vertical. La colocacin de los conectores con los indicadores apuntados hacia el lado opuesto del frente del muro resultar en una inclinacin de 1.56 cm. (5/8").

Colocar la fila adicional de bloques de forma escalonada, hale los bloques hacia la cara frontal del muro hasta que hagan contacto con los conectores de abajo. Inmediatamente despus de instalada cada hilada, esta deber ser nivelada tanto transversal como longitudinalmente mediante un nivel de mano.

5. Colocacin de la Geomalla Estructural: La geomalla debe ser tendida en la elevacin y orientacin de acuerdo a los planos de construccin y segn lo especificado por el fabricante del sistema de suelo reforzado o segn las instrucciones del Ingeniero. La geomalla se cortar de acuerdo a largos medidos, utilizando navaja, tijeras, cuchillo afilado, amoladoras, etc. Colocar la Geomalla Estructural con las barras transversales paralelas a la cara del muro y enganchar los extremos de los conectores en la ranura del bloque y en las barras transversales de la geomalla.

Una vez desenrollada la geomalla deber ser tensionada a mano hasta que est completamente tensa, sin arrugas y totalmente tendida en el suelo. Los paneles de geomalla adyacentes, en el caso del 100 por ciento de cobertura, deben estar empalmados a tope unos con otros y conectados segn se requiera (sin traslape) a menos que se especifique lo contrario en los planos de la construccin. En el caso del 73% de cobertura, los paneles de geomallas deben estar espaciados cada 503mm

Los paneles de geomallas deben ser mantenidos en su lugar con estacas, pasadores, bolsas de arena, o rellenos, segn los requisitos de las propiedades del llenado, procedimientos de colocacin del relleno, condiciones climticas o segn las instrucciones del Ingeniero. El geosinttico no debe ser cortado en la direccin de resistencia principal a travs del traslape, costura o conexin mecnica. Por lo tanto, el geosinttico deber ser instalado en una pieza continua con la direccin de resistencia principal extendida en el largo total del rea reforzada.

Longitud de Medida Lnea de Corte

Instale solamente la cantidad de geosinttico requerida para el trabajo pendiente inmediato, para evitar posibles daos. Una vez que se ha instalado una capa de geosinttico, se colocar la siguiente capa de tierra, compactada y preparada de acuerdo a norma. Despus que se ha colocado la capa indicada de relleno, se instalar la siguiente capa de geomalla. Este procedimiento deber ser repetido para cada capa de geomalla y relleno en forma sucesiva.

6. Colocacin del Relleno: El geosinttico ser tendido directamente en la superficie horizontal de un relleno compactado y cubierto con la capa de relleno siguiente, el cual ser colocado en capas horizontales de no ms de 0.25m de espesor y compactadas a un mnimo del 95% de la mxima densidad seca del ensayo de PROCTOR modificado. Deben eliminarse las arrugas de la geomalla hasta que est tirante y anclarlo con estacas y/o varillas, para luego distribuir el relleno con movimientos que se alejen del frente del muro o que sean paralelos a l. De este modo, cualquier arruga que se forme tender a desplazarse hacia el extremo libre (no conectado) de la geomalla, adicionalmente se pueden remover las estacas utilizadas para fijar la posicin del extremo inferior de la

geomalla una vez que se haya colocado el relleno para volver a usarlas en las secciones posteriores. Otra opcin es introducir una horquilla en el extremo inferior de la geomalla y eliminar la arruga haciendo palanca hasta que se haya colocado el relleno en la geomalla. La eliminacin de las arrugas en la geomalla antes de la colocacin del relleno evitar el movimiento del frente del muro debido al traslado de la arruga hacia el frente del muro.

Para prevenir deflexiones excesivas en el muro, use solamente equipo de compactacin mecnica liviano, a 1.0m de la cara posterior de los bloques de concreto. No se utilizarn equipos de construccin con orugas (maquinaria pesada) directamente encima de la geomalla (mnimo 15cm de relleno sobre la geomalla). Se pueden utilizar equipos con ruedas de goma (neumticas) los cuales circularan a velocidades muy reducidas, menos de 16 Km./h (10 mph) y en lnea recta sobre el geosinttico expuesto evitando causar dao a la geomalla y siempre que la subrasante no se est bombeando ni formando baches. No se permitir frenar bruscamente y se minimizarn los giros de equipos con ruedas para evitar desplazamientos y daos en la geomalla.

7. Colocacin del Material Granular de Filtro: El relleno de filtro se coloca como mnimo a 30cm detrs de los bloques de concreto, con la finalidad de controlar la perdida de material de relleno por las ranuras de los bloques de concreto y evitar la debilitacin del suelo reforzado. El material filtrante consiste en piedra chancada de tipo granular y de libre drenaje, segn especificaciones del proyecto.

No es necesario llenar las cavidades de los bloques de concreto con este material.

8. Instalacin del Geotextil de Filtro: Se instalara una capa de geotextil de filtro de 200g/m2 en todas las uniones del muro de suelo reforzado con estructuras de concreto u otro material. El geotextil de filtro se coloca como mnimo a 30cm detrs de los bloques de concreto a cada lado de la interseccin bloque - estructura, con la finalidad de controlar la perdida de material de relleno y filtro por las ranuras dejadas en dicha unin. El geotextil ser fijado a la estructura de concreto mediante el empleo de algn adhesivo o pegamento para evitar que se dae y mueva durante la colocacin del material de relleno.
