She was a follower of the ancient religion, and the worst of all its that she was married with a brutal priest that punish in a brutal way his wife when she prayed to her pagan gods, the father of Johanna the name of the principal character didnt have the things so simple when her mother bring her to this world, her father was praying near his wife saying things like that dirty and non-pure act just was the work of the women, and when a woman tried to help her wife with some herbs to calm the pain, but the priest said that god will decide the future of the woman, but the woman that try to help the mother of Johanna said that if he dont help her wife she will die and it will be so difficult to just a man to take care of 3 kids, later the dumb man help her wife, and born Johanna Anglicus a very smart girl, she always help her mother with the work in the house, and always listen what her father teach to her brothers.one day she convince to her mayor brother Matthias to teach her, and in that way she learn to read, write and some passages of bible, also she was better than her brother Johannes, but one day Matthias die and Johannes have to take the place of Matthias that was an aspirant to get in the cathedral school of Darmstadt, the day when Aesculapius go to the little town where Johanna and her family live to examine Johannes, he read but in a terrible way, but Johanna impersonates Aesculapius reading in a perfect way and an with a clean and excellent interpretation of the parabola of the little mustard seed, but in the other part of the coin her father was scandalized, how a girl can read, and also better than a man? The wife of the knight discover that cause the teacher of Johanna tell her, and when the knight went to one mission his wife obligate her to get married with a

man, but in the church when was her turn to said yes, an enormous group of bandits destroy the city, the church and her future husband, a man that she ever know. Johannes died in the attack and she take her position, and she went to a monastery, but with the name of Johannes no more like Johanna, she lived there and in no much time she were recognized cause her knowledge about natur al medicine, she saved a family from dead cause she discovered that what her mother had it was not leper, it was an infection in the skin cause they lived with rats, but happiness have to over, and when the fever arrive to the monastery she was obligated to go away, and there the first part of the movie ends. The second part starts when Johanna was found by the son of the woman she help in the monastery, when she gets well again, she go away of that house and start a trip that will finish in the Vatican city, where she cure the pope of a sick ness and become the favorite of the pope, but when the pope died because someone give him a poisonous thing, Johanna was named the new pope, Johannes Anglicus the pope, she fall in love again with the knight and they have a son, but when she was pregnant someone kill the father, and she died on an involuntary abortion, someone wrote a book about all the popes but he dont write her story, but some years later I think that the movie its good, cause it shows an history that can be credible and shows how cultures can survive helping each other, but also shows how the human being can be so crude and sexist, in that time the equality was not possible, because they exaggerate all what the bible said, and using as an excuse some ridiculous things that shows the enormous ego of mans, I believe in the equality but I thing that my words in a religious things do not have enough strong because I dont believe in anything like a god, but Im sure that your god said that you have to love each other at the same way I love you and Im sure that what happen there it wasnt love, it was hate, and also it shows how much scare the man discover that a woman its more intelligent than him. It also shows how the woman help with that condition, but it is not her fault; it is the fault of her society, and the way they learn of her mother to be. But, theres a big fail In the church helping to create an auto destructive society, fomenting that the rich always going to be more rich and the poor more poor, with their predications in that time of the human story, in few words youll pay for your heaven and if you cant that seams youll go to hell. It is a good movie with a good theme, the develop of the movie its to much slow, and some people can get sleep with it if the person doesnt have enough concentration, but it touch a lot of themes that in ours days are also a taboo in the

catholic church, like if a woman could be a pope, and something like that. The religion brings to our world war and inconformity but at the same time give something to do for many brilliant minds.
