Fast sharing is so essential to social media users. This allocation is the best way of exchanging ideas and thoughts from one person to another in a minimal span of time. Communication also involves transmitting blogs, feelings and even critical data to the receiver. Social media are extremely useful for promoting government programs, sharing ideas and exchanging information. The United States government is trying to use the social media as a tool in reaching the citizens in every state, and every neighborhood, to promote the latest government programs and current laws. The government is aiming an empowered, embedded and included society. These goals can be attained by many ways, but the most powerful tool today is by using social media. Thomas Bryer, director of Public Administration at the University of Florida, suggests that the production of civically engaged and socially connected citizen can be classified in different ways and techniques (44). Every group and culture can share their ideas about politics and government policies. People can share their opinion on social orientation for a reduced cost or even no cost at all. From the book Power Networking, Donna Fisher and Sandy Vilas state that some individuals abuse the social media due to the misuse of the concept of the new media by networking mongrels. The authors also say, Those mongrels are intruding inappropriately and just focusing on their agenda (21). Those mongrels forgot the value of taking time just to establish a relationship and rapport to other social media users. The people are using social media because of the idea of sharing their thoughts and beliefs to their fellow members. Users know that networking is a systematic way of gathering information and sharing events within their web environment. Only a few new media members realize the danger of frequent use of web networking because of the trickery and intrusion launched by hackers and online thieves. Other users believe that there are possibilities that the initial reports posted on social media are wrong. Whitney Holmes states that the social media can facilitate or exacerbate a crisis by spreading negative information or misinformation at incredible speed (13). The modern media are not totally the one to blame. Even in the past, old fashioned newspapers and radio reports committed also inaccurate information. Wise social media enthusiasts must evaluate the credibility of the domain first for getting the rightful information. Thus, everyone should be analytical and objective on what websites to follow and believe. A most obvious reason that social media should be used properly is because new media can be an excellent source of exchanging information. If used properly, social media are a superb tool among wider groups because the networks are effective globally. follow, share, and monitor in the net is the result of the quality of information the user will receive (632). Almost everybody in the world who has an internet access is already a member of one or more social media networks like Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace and YouTube. These popular media networks provide users the ability and permission to post their recent activities, chat to their friends and other users share their feelings and make some comments to their peers. Social media users can also make some blogs about their ideas, market their profession and services, and even some modern media sites sponsor free web conferences among professionals. One factor that can be advantageous to social media enthusiasts is that the user can share pictures and video clips to other members. Through social medias guidelines and tips, users have the opportunity to find credible friends and trusted professional peers. Although some people abuse use of social media, the newer technology should be used properly for greater communication advantages because of its powerful influence among users. The government is using social media to promote their latest programs and laws. New media are also a significant factor in daily lives because it is widespread tool for communication, sharing ideas and exchanging information. Members can benefit from the use of participating websites in numerous ways like advertisements to reach out to target audience and attract their attention, develop and maintain professional relationships in a career, execute online marketing campaigns and to track of account of business competitors. Individual users can also create portfolios of original music and upload pictures, videos and playlists. The government should impose more strict laws and guidelines for the right use of new media. That action will make the social media members safe in web navigating someday.
