About Grandmaster Zhang In 1991, Grandmaster Zhang was invited from Sichuan, China by the United Nations Qigong Society to teach and serve as a consultant, and since then he has traveled and taught extensively at a number of universities, including Harvard, Stanford, Cornell and Naropa, as well as giving public workshops throughout the United States. Grandmaster Zhang is a 17th generation lineage successor in the Quanzhen Daoist Dragon Gate line (Long Men Pai). He is a 7th generation lineage holder, Mt. Emei Qigong & Traditional Medicine. He is also a lineage holder of Mt. Wudang sword, a master of Shaolin fist and sword, a master calligrapher, feng shui practitioner and a Professor of Chinese Medicine.

Denton, TX 76207 is available by In the beautiful, exotic city of Chengdu you may visit the Kongzi (Confucius) Temple and perhaps a traditional school of Chinese Medicine, depending on the interest of the group and the availability of the school. Side Trips From the retreat center, you may take several side trips. In the vicinity of scenic Mt. Qing Cheng, you may visit Confucian and Daoist temples, view an enormous bronze statue of Laozi and meditate in the Heavenly Master Cave.

Grandmaster Zhangs retreat center, the Palace of the Heavenly Dragon, is located 2 hours from Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, China. Built in traditional style by Master Zhang in 1994, it is located on Mt. Qing Cheng, near the highlands of Tibet. The diverse program of ancient Chinese healing traditions includes classes in Medical Qigong, Martial Arts, Tai Chi and Acupressure Massage taught by Master Zhang and resident instructors. Instruction in traditional arts, such as calligraphy and herbology, can be provided by local experts for an additional fee.

On side trips to Mt. Qing Cheng you can relax in natural hot springs, bathe in waterfalls, and meditate in caves formerly inhabited by the panda (for extra fee)

The highlight of the trip for many participants is the Tibetan tour. You travel by bus to the scenic, Aba Tibetan region in Sichuan province, noted for its breathtakingly beautiful, snow covered mountains and extensive grasslands. You can visit Tibetan Buddhist Temples and dance with Tibetan people.
