mission work. Finally, I found a job as a bus monitor with Bethany Christian School, where Shane was attending. It was good to be working with American Kids again. It was during this time that we felt that maybe God was trying to lead us back into a ministry with young
people.

God showed us that He wanted us to

us almost a month and 6,000 miles. We left Oberlin on Friday morning and drove to Bridgeport, Nebraska, where
we stayed with our good friends, Frank and Judy Krentz. We had not seen
them since we were recruits to Taiwan
who we were, they gladly took us into their home for the night. We then traveled the next day and night until we arrived at my folks' home in Visalia, California. We stayed
here for two weeks while we did our

what is going on in Taiwan. The
enjoyed our stay with them. Our kids were getting tired of traveling by this
minister here and we stayed with them while we were there. This congregation
was also very interested in the Chinese
people and what is happening to them. That morning, as we were on our way toOroviUe, we stopped and worshipped
with the folks at the Turlock Church of
the hospitality of this Christian family, because even though they didn't know
Danny (11), Aaron (8), and Joanna (10 mos.). We are very happy that they are willing to share with us in this work.

This is a small congregation, but they, too, were interested in Taiwan. Jerry
Hopkins and his wife are the
at this congregation. Our next speaking date was August 24 at the Cunningham Christian Chruch in Cunningham, Kansas. We would appreciate your prayers very much concerning places to speak. It has been very difficult up to this point to get places to speak. Pray that God will lead us to those congregations where He wants us to go. We have received some very en couraging reports from our brothers in Taiwan. I am in the process of con firming those reports and getting the complete information by contacting

faithful to Jesus.
pray for the work there. God is moving in a special wayin a way that we
have not seen Him move before. It
appears that the Chinese people are beginning to have a renewed interest in the gospel of Jesus Christ! Praise the
Lord!
