Temperatrie/RPM Corrections
Maximum allowable wheel speeds shown below each fan performance table refer to fans of standard construction operating'at 70.F.
Since the rupture and creep strength of steel decreses aipreciably
with increases in lemperature, maximum allowable speed!'must b
corrected accordingly.
4. .Reduce maximum allowable fah speed by applying RpM correction factor for temperature from Table 4.'
Maximum speed for BCS365 SWSI, Class lll, Standard Dutv is
1721 RPM (at 70"F.) Correction factor for 500.F. is 0.91. orrected maximum speed is therefore 1721 x A.91:1566 RpM.
5. Actual operating speed of selected fan must not exceed the corrected rnaximum allowable RPM.
Since operating speed of 1500 RPM is less than 1566 RpM
shown-BCS365 SWSI, Class lll Heat Fan is a correct selection
for the exampe appticaton.
Refer.lo page 3 for detailed Heat Fan information.
