Environmentally Friendly Drain Treatment Which Stops Drains Blocking With Fat & Grease Biokatz Drain Block is a biological treatment for fat and grease which is the most common cause blocked drains. Biokatz blocks are being used by food manufacturing companies / fast food outlets etc where fat and grease is used / produced in large quantities. Generally fat and grease deposits make there way to the drains where it cools and hardens and blocks the drain / pit. At this point generally a drain clearing machine is required to be called out or the drain is manually dug out to clear the blockage. Both are very expensive and time consuming. USES AND APPLICATIONS

Bio-Katz products use live Bacterial Cultures and their Free Enzymes to Effectively Digest organic Waste & Odours. Bacteria are living uni-cellular micro-organisms and they are present throughout our environment. In our Bio-Katz products we have formulated several bacteria strains to essentially degrade waste, control odours and remove specific unwanted chemicals. In essence the bacteria species are very effective decomposing and digesting organic material. All bacteria must eat to stay alive. So bacteria produce Enzymes which break down organic wastes into a liquid form that then can be absorbed by our bacteria. Subsequently the bacteria convert the absorbed liquids into carbon dioxide and water which are harmless to our environment. Enzymes are actually catalysts which initiate the chemical processes involved in digestion. Contra to popular misconception neither bacteria nor their enzyme secretions are miniature carnivorous insects, chewing up waste material. Rather, bacteria are like sponges that absorb organic waste that has been previously liquefied by enzymes. The bacteria will subdivide approximately every 20 minutes into two identical and fully functional duplicates of the original. This reproduction will continue with time and as long as there is an adequate amount of food source exists to fuel the process. The higher the Bacterial Count will produce, increased enzyme activity which then results in faster decomposition and digestion of organic waste materials. We apply this technology to eliminate waste and unwanted odours to control Fat/Grease traps, odour control and cleaning actions. Compared to our competitor products that contain caustic or other potential harmful chemicals currently used.
