Simon accepted and signed the Letter of Intent, and signed the rules on Friday. He just had surgery for a deviated septum and had to go to the Doctor this morning so he wasn't at practice, but he assured Jae last night after this letter went out that he will be back at training tomorrow.

Nor have I received any. I did talk with Travis for about 30 seconds at the BOD Meeting. Would appreciate some actual, fact based examples of " treatment ""This decision has been specifically influenced by the way weve been treated by the special projects manager,.... in regards to this situation and through our previous experiences." Also some actual, fact based examples of " dealings -" " Our dealings with them in the past as well as the way they have approached this situation...." If anyone on this e-mail can shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Have not been privy to the survey or the actual content of all the skaters meetings. However this seems like a new twist, or maybe for some it isn't. If there is a need to get something out in the open, let's get it out in the open. Perhaps sharing the athletes survey and what they thought about all the staff, not just the ST related staff, would be helpful. Jack P.S. Not sure why Simon Cho's name is below. He committed to the ST NRP ??

Dear Board of Directors, Short Track Committee, and US Speedskating staff: Collectively, the athletes (we) would like to thank the Board of Directors, the Short Track Committee, and US Speedskating staff for their time, commitment, and dedication in trying to improve the short track program. Although, we still have a long way to go, we know progress has been made and are optimistic that progress will continue to be made if all parties involved continue to stay committed to the change that has been discussed. US Speedskating has shown an effort of good faith by re-inviting the full team to the program, which inspires the athletes. This is just the first step. We hope to keep moving forward with US Speedskating, but no longer as a part of the Short Track NRP. We look forward to discussing and improving the program until we eventually feel confident to be involved with the NRP, but given the way the situation was handled we cannot, in good faith, commit to the program. This decision has been specifically influenced by the way weve been treated by the special projects manager, head coach, and short track team manager in regards to this situation and through our previous experiences. Our dealings with them in the past as well as the way they have approached this situation has had a negative affect on

the way we see the program moving forward. One business day to reply is poor business practice and an unacceptable way to treat elite athletes. Our confidence in this program and the way it is structured is limited and we dont believe in the Short Track NRP enough to commit. There is no willingness of the US Short Track NRP to commit to change for the athletes; therefore we have decided not to sign the letter of acceptance. Time constraints put into effect by the Short Track Selection Committee prevents us from going into anymore detail at this time Sincerely, The Elite Athletes of US Speedskating Christopher Carr JR Celski Simon Cho Aly Dudek Jonathan Garcia Travis Jayner Levi Kirkpatrick Jordan Malone Katherine Reutter Emily Scott Jeff Simon Kyle Uyehara
