    Receive The Holy Spirit!

    When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied (Acts 19:5-6).

    ome people wonder why living the Christian life has been a struggle for them. As much as they desire to serve God with their lives, they still find themselves struggling with several things that eventually get them miserable. The answer is easy; its because they dont have the Holy Spirit. No one can successfully live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit. Hes the one that brings the power of God into your life to strengthen you to live the effective Christian life. He also teaches you the Word of God so you can know Gods perfect will for your life and live in it. There are different ways to receive the Holy Spirit according to the Bible. One of such ways is the laying on of hands. This was what Paul did in the scripture above. He had just arrived at Ephesus where he found certain disciples of Jesus Christ. He got into a conversation with them and discovered they hadnt received the Holy Spirit since they believed. Immediately he laid his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came on them. Another way to receive the Holy Spirit is by prayer; Jesus said in Luke 11:13, If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? So when you ask the Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus, you can receive the Holy Spirit.

    You need the Holy Spirit in your life. If youre yet to receive Him into your life, ask the Father right now with faith in your heart. Thats all it takes! Learn to live by the Spirits power everyday.

    Prayer
    Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit, whom Ive received into my life, to strengthen me and teach me your Word, so that I can live the divine life youve freely given me to the full, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
