FOR YOUR SAFETY


For your safety and proper use of the mobile phone, please read the following guidelines carefully: Do not switch the mobile phone on when close to chemical factory, gas station or other explosive objects. During driving, please use headset for safety purpose; unless otherwise in emergency, always stop the car on roadside to have a call 2

conversation. Because the use of the mobile phone can cause interference in the aircraft, never use the mobile phone in aircraft. The use of the mobile phone is dangerous and illegal; do switch off the mobile phone before boarding. Pay special attention to the use of the mobile phone near heart pacemaker, deaf-aid and some other medical equipment. Because the mobile phone can cause interference with them. Non genuine accessories may harm your device and could result in warranty cancellation Do not plug the charger into the mobile phone and charge without battery. Always power off the mobile phone when taking out the battery; otherwise the memory of the phone may be damaged. When charging the mobile phone, always keep it in the place with good ventilation, heat sink and away from flammable and explosive objects. In order to avoid demagnetization, always keep the mobile phone away from magnetic 3

objects such as CD, credit card etc. Ensure the mobile phone not to contact any liquid; once such case occurs, remove the battery and contact the supplier immediately. Do not use the mobile phone in the environment at too high or too low temperature, never expose the mobile phone under strong sunshine or too wet environment. The suitable temperature for the phone and accessories is 0-40. The height to use the phone shall be less than 2,000m. Do not use liquid or wet cloth with strong cleanser to clean the mobile phone. This mobile phone has shooting, video and audio recording functions, which shall be used as per the related laws and regulations. Always keep the mobile phone out of childrens reach. Do not throw or vibrate the mobile phone because violent treatment to the mobile phone may damage the inner circuits and precise structures. Please do not discard the waste battery into general household garbage. Please deal with the 4

waste battery according to provisions where they are definitely made. Function of Keys Key Call (SIM 1) Key Description To make/answer a call from SIM1. In the standby mode, press this key to access the Call Log. End an ongoing call. Press and hold this key to turn on or off the mobile phone. In the menu mode, press this key to quit the current menu and return back to the standby mode. Use the right soft key to execute the functions indicated at the right of the prompt bar on the screen.

Press Call 2 key to make a call after entering the phone number or selecting a number from phonebook. In the editing mode, use the keys to move the cursor. In the standby mode, press the keys to access the function assigned to these keys. Used to enter numbers, letters and some special characters. In the standby mode, press and hold the # key to activate Silent Mode, In the editing mode, you can press the # key to switch among the input methods, press the * key to enter symbols.

PREPARTION BEFORE USE


Install SIM Card

When registering mobile phone number, you can apply for two different phone numbers, two different mobile phone network service providers and thus obtain two SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) cards. With these two SIM cards, you can use all functions of your mobile phone. The SIM cards save the parameters needed for communications and personal data, including PIN (Personal Identification Number) code, phonebook, short message and other extra system services. Warning: Do not distort or scratch the SIM card nor let it contact static, dust or moisture. If it is lost, please contact immediately your network operator for help. Before SIM card installation, please switch off the mobile phone. The SIM card is installed on the back of the mobile phone. Follow the following diagram to install the SIM card. Please insert the Primary SIM card into the SIM1 slot and the Secondary SIM card into the SIM2 slot. Note: If SIM card is inserted only into the SIM1 slot, then only the SIM1 works; likely, If SIM card 9

is inserted only into the SIM2 slot, then only the SIM2 works. When two SIM cards are inserted into the SIM1 slot and SIM2 slot respectively, you can select SIM1, SIM2 or Dual SIM mode freely as you wish.

Note: As the SIM card is small object, keep it out of childrens reach. Install Memory card As the mobile phone does not have enough storage space, to use some functions, you need to install a memory card (This mobile phone use Micro SD card.) Install Memory card: Open the back cover to take out the battery, release the memory card 10

lock, insert the Micro SD card into its slot, and restore the lock and the battery before restarting the mobile phone.

Note: As the memory card is small object, keep it out of childrens reach! Install Battery The mobile phone is suitable for original battery and accessories. When the battery is idle, it is recommended to put it into the protection box. Follow the following diagram to install the battery. 11

Note: Do install the battery as per the diagram so as prevent the battery contact patch being damaged.

Battery

Charge Battery/Connect to Computer The new battery cannot reach the optimal efficiency unless it has undergone several continuous complete charges and discharges. When the battery is used up, charge it in time. Over-discharge can damage the battery. 12

After the battery is charged full, cut off the connection of charger with the AC power supply (or PC) and the connection with the mobile phone. When pushing into/pulling out of USB connector, please use correct way as following line drawing.

During charging, the battery capacity icon on the screen flickers from the right to the left. After the battery is charged full, the icon is full of bars. Slight heat during charging is normal. Warning: When a travel charger and its accessories are used to charge the battery, please firstly check if they are original or recognized by the original manufacturer. The use of other accessories may damage your mobile phone and cause risks! Always use them indoor and in dry places. Notices on using the battery 13

The performance of the battery is affected by many factors, including radio barrier network settings, signal strength, signal strength, work temperature, chosen and used functions or settings as well as phone accessories, data or other applications. For optimal performances, please follow the rules below: New battery or the battery having been idle for long need charging for long. The standard voltage scope for the battery is 3.6V-4.2V. During charging, keep the battery at room temperature or similar temperature. With time passing by, the battery will gradually be worn and thus need longer time to charge. This is normal. However, after normal charging, if call duration decreases but charging time increases, you need to buy another battery from the original manufacturer or authorized by the original manufacturer. The battery of inferior quality can damage your mobile phone and cause danger! If the phone is overused at low battery when 14

charging, there might need a longer time for the charge indicator to be shown on the screen. Note: Please dispose the battery according to the local regulations. Try to recycle the battery as soon as possible. Do not treat the waste battery as common waste. Warning: Do not throw the battery into fire so as to prevent fire. The broken battery may cause explosion. Warning Charging the mobile phone by improper means can cause to explosion. Always refer to the related regulations for the disposal of the battery. PIN code PIN1 Code: It is the personal identification number used to enter SIM and able to prevent others using SIM1 without permission. If the mobile phone has activated the PIN1 code protection, when the mobile phone is switched on, the screen will display Input PIN. In the 15

process of inputting PIN1 code, the screen will use * to represent the input content. While obtaining SIM, you can obtain its PIN1 code. PIN2 Code: It is the personal identification number used for some special functions such as paid call etc. PUK Code and PUK2 Code(8-digit) To change the locked PIN code, you need to use PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code. To change the locked PIN2 code, you need to use PUK2 code. If these two codes are not provided together with the SIM cards, ask the local service provider for them. Warning: If the PIN code is input wrongly for three times, the SIM card will be locked. Please contact the network operator immediately for help. Attempt to unlock the code may make the SIM card ineffective permanently! Switch On/Off the Phone To turn on/off the phone, press and hold the End/Power key.

BASIC OPERATIONS
To Make Calls The icons / on the screen, signifies that you have full signal strength and hence you can easily make or receive calls. In order to make a call: Input the phone number (should affix the international/national/regional code or district code if necessary) and then press dial key. Press SIM1 Key to dial a phone number listed in the recent call log in the standby mode. Press and hold numeric keys (2)-(9) to dial the speed dial number assigned to the numeric keys. You can select a contact number from the phonebook and call the contact person. Tip: The signal strength may influence the quality of connection. Answer/Reject an Incoming Call

Press SIM 1/SIM 2 Key to receive the incoming call. Press End/Power Key to reject an incoming call. 17

Options During a Call Press <Options> to Hold Single Call, End Single Call, New Call, Record call, Phonebook, access Messaging, open or close the DTMF function during the call.

MAIN MENU
Press the Center Key in the idle mode to access the main menu. Press the Navigation Keys Up/Down/Left/Right to choose the desired operation and press Ok to enter the selected operation.

File manager
You can browse, open and manage the data saved in the Phone and micro SD card by 18

accessing the File Manager sub-menu. The phone provides a certain space for users to manage files and supports the micro SD card.

Contacts
Press Center Key in the standby mode and then select Contacts. Or press right soft key to enter Contacts. Add New Contact Go to main Menu and select Contacts Select Add new contact Select the storage Add the required details i.e. number and contact name The device can store 1000 numbers. When you enter the phonebook interface, choose one contact, press center OK key and do as follows: View: You can browse the details of the contact. Send message: Input the message, and you can sent to the contact.

Call : You can make a phone call of the contact by pressing this option. Edit: You can edit the name and the number of the contact. Delete: You can delete the selected contact. Copy : You can copy the selected contact to phone, to SIM cards or files. Move: You can move the selected contact from the phone to SIM Card 1 or to SIM card 2. Send business card: You can send the contact as the phone guides, such as text message, as multimedia message and via Bluetooth. Add to blacklist: Add the contact to the blacklist. Mark several: You can select several contacts, and continue the corresponding choice. Caller groups: you can add new group by editing groups name, caller picture, caller ringtone and caller video.

Phonebook Settings: you can check or set Preferred storage, Speed dial, my number, extra numbers, memory status, etc.

Calls
This sub-menu show the call details i.e. the missed, received and dialled call logs. Scroll the Up/Down keys to select a call and then select view to see the details. Press options to perform the operations, such as call, send message, add contact to blacklist, delete etc. Call history All calls: you can check and view all the call logs. Missed calls: you can check and view the missed calls. Dialed calls: you can check and view the dialed calls. Received calls: you can check and view the received calls. Note: The actual call duration and service time in the bill of the service provider may be different

from them, which depends on the network functions, accounting rounding and tax etc. Advanced Call timers This needs the support of the network service provider. Last Call: With this function, you can view the duration of the last call. Dialed calls: With this function, you can view the duration of all calls. Received calls: With this function, you can view the duration of the received calls. Reset all: With this function, you can reset all the records of the calls. Call Cost This needs the support of the network service provider. Last Call Cost: With this function, you can view the fees of the last call. Total Cost: With this function, you can view the fees of all calls. Reset Cost: With this function, you can clear all fee records. 22

Max Cost: With this function, you can limit

call fees in the specified pricing unit or currency unit. PIN2 code must be input to set call cost. Price Per Unit: This function needs network support. For more details, please consult the network operator. SIM text message Counter With this function, you can see and preset the number of sent messages and received messages. GPRS Counter Last Sent: You can view the sending traffic of last link. Last Received: You can view the reception traffic of last link. All Sent: You can view the sending traffic of all links. All Received: You can view the reception traffic of all links. Reset Counter: You can clear all link traffic. Call settings [SIM 1/2 Call settings]

Caller ID: (Net work Service): You can select Set By Network, Hide ID or Send ID. The default state is the Set By Network. Call Waiting: Activate, the network will notify you of a new incoming call while you have a call in progress (Net work Service). Call Divert: This network service allows you to divert your incoming calls to anther number. For details, contact your service provider. Call barring: > Activate, this network service allows you to restrict incoming calls from your phone. For details, contact your service provider. Line switching: Line 1 or Line 2. Group list: you can add the contact to the group list. Furthermore, you can access advanced settings to set Blacklist, Auto redial, call time display, call time reminder, auto quick end, etc. Audio Player

Audio Player allows you to play audio files. Please save your audio files in the My Music folder of the micro SD card. In the idle mode, tap Main menu > audio player. Function of keys: tap main menu key to view a list of music and scroll down to select the desired music; tap Back to return to main menu; press left navigation key to previous song; press right navigation key to next song; press the up navigation key to play the music; press down navigation key to pause the music; press * & # key to tune the volume.

Messaging
Your phone features, sending and receiving of SMS (Short Message Service) and MMS (Multimedia message). A SMS is a text message that can only contain letters, numbers and symbols. To create a message, select Write Message option. Inbox sub-menu enables you to view all the messages received. All the messages that are sent successfully from SIM1 25

or SIM 2 get stored in the Sent Messages folder. A MMS is a multimedia message that can contain not only the letters, numbers and symbols but also videos, pictures, etc. Tap main menu > Messaging , do as follows: Write Message: You can write MMS/SMS and then send out through SIM 1/2. Chat: You can view the message from the chat by reply, delete and delete all as the phone guides. Inbox: You can see the MMS/SMS in the inbox. Drafts: you can store the unsent and saved messages here. Outbox: While failing to send SMS/MMS, the messages will be saved here by default. Sent messages: The sent out messages, are saved here. Delete messages: Refer to the phone to delete the message of Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent message and All messages. Email: before sending and receiving the email, you should create an account. 26

Broadcast message: Cell broadcast is a kind of information service such as weather report, traffic etc that the network operator sends to the GSM users within certain area. In dual-SIM mode, you can separately set SIM1 and SIM2. Templates: you can pre-edit some common phrases, which is convenient for quick SMS editing. Message settings: you can set or view information of text/multimedia/service message here.

QApps
This menu is specifically designed for the entertainment with convenience for the user. Go to the main menu and select QApps and access Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, MSN, Yahoo messenger and Google search. For entering all of the above, ensure that you have GPRS/WAP. Fun & Games

You can access ebuddy, Google maps, Gtalk and opera mini through Java application. The device also gives you several interesting embedded games. Before playing game, you can enter Options and set Music and Effect. About the way to play the game, please refer to Help. Multimedia This menu is specifically designed for the entertainment purpose of the user. To enter this menu, go to the main menu and select Multimedia. The various multimedia features provided by your device includes Image viewer, Photo editor, Sound Recorder, FM radio, melody composer and Slide show. Image viewer Pictures taken can be accessed quickly through Image Viewer. Go to Menu > Multimedia > image viewer. All the images available in the storage selected by you are displayed. Photo editor

Select a photo or picture from file or Capture from camera to start editing. Sound Recorder The mobile phone supports 3 recording formats: WAV, AMR and AWB. You can record conversations, which may be saved to the Audio folder under File Manager. FM Radio You can use your phone to listen to FM radio stations. When you enter the FM radio interface, you will be asked for plugging in an earphone. The earphone is like an antenna to receive signal. Press main menu key to start to pause the FM radio; Press Left Navigation Key to the previous FM station; Press Right Navigation Key to the next FM station. Press the Down navigation key to start/pause record the FM radio; and press * & # to tune the volume. Note: Your channel list can store at most 30 stations. To set the corresponding parameters, tap Options to Settings. 29

Melody composer Go to Menu > Multimedia > Melody composer; please tap Add to compose the melody you prefer. Slide show Select a folder from phone/memory card to play.

Camcorder
The phone is provided with a Camcorder, which supports the photographing and shooting video functions. Pictures/Videos are saved in the file system of the phone or the memory card.

Video Player
Select a video clip and press OK key to open it. Press OK key to play the video clip.

Services
Internet service Go to Main menu service. > Services > internet

Homepage-- Start the website chosen in the connection settings file. BookmarksEnter to view a list of bookmarks. Input address: Input the website to be logged in. Last web address: You can view the last web address. Recent pages: Record the latest 30 web pages browsed. Stored pages: it has the stored pages here. Settings: you can set the Homepage, Browser options, Preferences, Security settings and Restore browser settings here. STK service is the tool kit of SIM card. This phone supports the service function .The specific items are dependent by SIM card and network. Clear all internet history You can clear all internet history here.

Date and time: With this function, you can set the date and time here. Schedule power on/off: To set the time, schedule power on/off. Language: Your device supports English, Urdu, Arabic and Persian. Input method: you can set ABC, Abc, abc, 32

Numeric, Smart ABC, Smart abc, Urdu, Arabic, Persian and Arabic numeric as your prior language. Encoding you have code such as ASCII, ISO8859-1, Windows-1252 and GB18030. Display: With this function you can configure the basic status of display characteristics including Wallpaper, Screen Saver, Main menu background, Show date and time, Clock type and Show owner number, etc. Greeting text: On/Off. If On, when you switch on the device next time, the screen will display the greeting text. Dedicated key: you can define the Up/ Left/Right soft key as the desired functions. Auto update of date and time: To set the mobile phone to automatically update time and date according to the current time zone, choose Activate. Auto update of time and date will not affect the alarm clock, calendar or alarm clock memo setting time, which will be subject to the time and date when created. However, auto update of time and date may make some set 33

alarm clocks out of date. UART settings: Once connected to the computer, you can select the SIM card first as you choose here. Misc. Settings: You can adjust the brightness and duration of LCD backlight. Menu vibration: On/Off. User Profiles The phone provides seven pre-defined user profiles that allow the operations of the phone to best suit the environment you are in. The profiles are General, Silent, Meeting, Outdoor and My style. The phone will automatically enter the headset profile if you connect the headset to your phone. Alert Type: Ring Only: Just ringing, no vibration. Vib. Only: Just Vibrating, no ringing. Vib. and Ring: Ringing and vibration. Vib.then Ring: Ring after vibration. Light: when there is a call, the breath light will flash. 34

Ring Type: Beep once: Beep once when theres an incoming call. Repeat: Rings continuously when theres an incoming call. Ascending: Rings continuously and the volume increases gradually. Furthermore, you can select the SIM1/SIM 2 Incoming Call, Power on, Power off, SIM1/SIM 2Message, Key tone, System Alert etc as per your choice. Network settings Network Selection: You can search the network again. Select your favorite network and choose to register the network automatically or manually. Preferences: You can set the preferred registered network for SIM card. Security settings SIM Security 35

SIM Lock: You can set SIM lock (PIN code) as on/off. When this option is chosen, it is necessary to input PIN code for every insert of the SIM card. Change Password: you should contact with the SIM networking operator to get the PIN code firstly and then you can change the SIM password. Phone lock To set On. While you power on the device next time, you may be asked for a password, please input 0000. Change password: The old password is 0000, you can change the password here. Auto keypad lock The mobile phone has screen lock function. When it lasts certain time, the screen will be locked, including such options as Off, 5s, 30s, 60s and 5min. Change password You can change the default phone password 0000 into 4-8-digit number that is easy to remember. Certificate manager 36

It has Authority certificate and User certificate. You can browse more information about them here. Privacy protection To start this function, you can make your phone a privacy lock to the extent. You can set password for specific application folders Connectivity Bluetooth You can use the BT to transfer data and files by pairing with other device. Conn. management It shows the status of the connections. Data account GPRSYou can set the name, APN, user name, password, Auth. type, DNS. Note: For related charging standard and detailed settings, please consult the local network service operator. Different network service providers provide different services. Consult the local network operator.

Restore Factory Settings Access Settings to select Restore Factory Settings, and press OK. All settings can be restored to factory settings with this function. The default password is 0000. Reset all Access Reset all to delete all settings and user data. You will be asked for input password, and the default one is 0000.

Organizer
The organizer menu gives you access to a number of additional features including Calendar, Tasks, Alarm, Azaan alarm, World clock, Zakat calculator, Notes, Phone sync, Calculator, Unit converter, Currency converter and Ebook reader. Calendar You can trace the date by using the embodied calendar here. If you have some prominent

appoint/meeting, you can choose to create an event to remind of the assignment. Tasks You can create a memo. When the set time is reached, the mobile phone will ring and display the memo content. Alarm Your device offers you with 5 clock, and you can make use of them to remind you of important task or wake you up from sleeping. Azaan alarm Your phone have five prayer alarms, you can edit the exact time that you need as per your local prayer timings. World Clock Press the left and right direction keys to view the current time of every country corresponding to every time zone.

Zakat calculator You can calculate the total zakat of the Cattle, Agriculture, Bullion & Cash, Buried treasure, Minerals, Revenues, Commercial commodities, Business and others. For more details, please operate as the phone directs. Notes You can make some quick notes here. Phone sync If you want to get this function started you need to select applications to sync. Calculator You can make some simple calculation. Unit converter Choose the function as the phone guide to convert the unit. Currency Converter To save exchange rate, press OK, then choose to set exchange rate. Choose one exchange rate 40

from the displayed options. After that, press OK to confirm. Then the exchange rate will be saved in the memory until you enter a new one to replace it. To convert currency, enter the sum to be converted, press OK and then choose to local currency or foreign currency. Ebook reader In standby, tap Menu > Organizer> Ebook reader. After e-book is activated, the e-book list will be displayed, and you can start to read.

Battery Information and Care o Please dispose of your battery properly. o Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery. o Keep the batterys metal contacts clean. o Recharge the battery after long periods of non-use to maximize battery life. o Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions. 42

o The self-protection function of the battery cuts the power of the phone when its operation is in an abnormal status. In this case, remove the battery from the phone, reinsert it, and turn the phone on. General Notice o Using a damaged battery or placing a battery in your mouth may cause serious injury. o Do not place items containing magnetic components such as a credit card, phone card, bank book, or subway ticket near your phone. The magnetism of the phone may damage the data stored in the magnetic strip. o Talking on your phone for long period of time may reduce call quality due to heat generated during use. o When the phone is not used for a long period time, store it in a safe place with the power cord unplugged. o Using the phone in proximity to receiving equipment (i.e. TV or Radio) may cause interference to the phone. 43
