General arrangement of the supplying center The design is meant to reasonably arrange the contaminated area, clean area and the sterile area separately while forming an effective circulation system from sorting, cleanout, disinfecting to sterilization on the basis of standard production flow. Advanced international design for the supplying center is adopted by Xinhua medical. Designers first work out the general blueprint with techniques flow, arrangement of equipments as well as the full set quantity and types of the configuration of these equipments by analyzing and programming on the basis of the detailed construction infrastructure, the type of the center and requirements of the hospital put forward by customers. Hospital mainly uses two kinds of sterilizing system, one is supplying center (CSSD) and the other is scattering sterilizing cells which is called surgical supplying room (TSSU) in the surgery.

A ) Cleaning area: Also called preparation room, in which contaminated objects are packed and sterilized, including the packing area and sterilizing area. In the packing area dressing is made, checking and packing is carried on. To prevent instrument from contamination of cotton trifle, instruments checking and packing must be separated from dressing making. The cleaning area and contamination removal area are separated with two doors auto washing disinfector and a through transferring windows. The two doors on the auto washing disinfector are interlocked; only one door can be opened in any time so that the contamination removal area and cleaning area could be separated efficiently.

B ) Contamination removal area: divided into collection area, lavation area and sorting area, where operators in collection area must wear isolation clothes and wash hands before getting back to lavation area and sorting area. The collection area should be as compact as possible for avoiding a larger range contamination. Ultrasonic washing machine and auto washing disinfector should be equipped in the contamination removal area in order to provide a uniform and through cleaning that can not be achieved by manual work, minimizing labor strength and recontamination. The ground must be firmly constructed, made up of smooth, sterile and endurable material for washing. C ) Sterile area: also called sterilized object keeping area, separated from others, where sterilized objected are kept, into which people must change their clothes in sterile ones and through air disinfection. A completely separated channel with two interlock windows is to be built in the sterile area for sterile material distribution. The sterile area and the disposable material store are linked by a gateway of two door cabinet for transportation. Materials in single use must be removed of its package before entering the sterile area. There is a sterilizer of two doors between the cleaning area and sterile area, the two doors are interlocked, only one door can be opened in any time so that the contamination removal area and cleaning area could be separated completely. The people entering sterile area from cleaning area must change their clothes with sterile ones and through air disinfection. D ) Living area: including office, meeting room, rest room, computer room, dressing room, toilet, etc.

Facilities to make full sets of equipments in the center A complete supplying center is comprised up by many units, each of which has its special territory and function, intercrossing is not allowed. So a reasonable arrangement and specified production flow is necessary for people pass through the compulsory way and materials transport in obligatory rout in order to minimize crisscrossing contamination. In the sterilizing room the areas must be separated from each other and shielded by ground screen: the contamination removal area and the clean area is linked by a double door auto lavation sterilizer (two interlock doors through one channel) and windows through which transport is carried out; the clean area and the sterile area are connected by double door sterilizer (two interlock doors through one channel); air pressure in the sterilizing room the higher to the lower is in sequential as : the sterile area, the clean area, the contamination removal area, by such means potential contamination in hospital can be minimized.
