All Ceramic Restoration IPS EMPRESS

IPS Empress is a material that fully satisfies the physical and esthetic requirements placed on all-ceramic restorations today. IPS Empress system uses a lost wax technique, with the preheated ingot being pressed into the investment ring. The pressing process occurs at about 1,100 degrees C, depending on whether using the colored or uncolored ingots. When the ceramic ingots become plasticized, they are pressed into the cavity at 3.5 bar. After pressing, there is programmable holding period during which the ceramic accurately reproduces the final detail of the investment cavity, even thin margins. It is this technique that allows for optimum fit of porcelain, with margins of around 20 microns. This , along with the enamel-like wear and kindness to opposing tooth structure, is a major benefit of this ceramic material over conventional porcelain and other ceramic materials. The leucite-reinforced ceramic is based on glass containing latent nucleating agent. IPS Empress, with its revolutionary working technique, opens new horizons in the fabrication of true-to-nature restorations. Following are the advantages of using IPS Empress:

Easy handling Outstanding aesthetics Optimum fit High strength Abrasion resistance similar to that of natural enamel Successful clinical use since 1987

Ivoclar North America, Inc. has introduced IPS ERIS. This revolutionary new product now expands the indications and clinical opportunities of the IPS Empress System, the world's most popular metal-free alternative. The continuing development of this unique formulation moves dental restoration possibilities closer to the composition and function of natural tooth structure. With additional strength and increase fracture toughness, IPS ERIS is indicated for anterior all-ceramic bridges and full coverage anterior and posterior single units. All-Ceramic Bridges (and more) The second generation of the revolutionary system in esthetic dentistry, IPS ERIS, now offers the possibility to fabricate all-ceramic bridges. The new lithium disilicate framework ceramic and the fluorapatite layering ceramic permit the fabrication of all-ceramic bridges that demonstrate properties similar to those of natural teeth.

With the advent of IPS ERIS, Impressive Dental Studio can provide you and your patients with beautiful, metal-free anterior crowns and three-unit bridges. Created from a Lithium Disilicate glassceramic, IPS ERIS exhibits astonishing translucency, value, opalescence, fluorescence and wearability that rivals natural dentition. The highly crystalline micro-structure of Empress 2 copings provides increased strength and fracture resistance... making IPS ERIS nearly three times stronger than IPS Empress! And to complement this extraordinary all-ceramic coping is its veneering porcelain that contains fluorapatite crystals... closely exhibiting the structure and optical properties found in natural teeth. Optimal placement is achieved with adhesive bonding however, when a dry field cannot be achieved, cementation with ProTec Cem from Ivoclar can be used.

VENEERS
We at Impressive Dental Studio use two methods in manufacturing veneers. For cases, where we have enough labial reduction and stump shade is not much darker than a desired shade, we would recommend IPS Empress material. Artistic excellence of impressive veneers is unmatched in the industry. For cases, which require opacity level to be greater than 50%, we would prefer to use Ceramco II veneer porcelain. Weve used these systems for years and they proven to be consistent and reliable. Great combination of an excellent products and artistry of our master-technicians results in outstanding dental restorations, which will bring smiles to the faces of your patients.

IN-CERAM

The individual restoration produced with the In-Ceram System excels due to the improvement of the following material properties:
Considerably greater flexural strength - Perfect marginal fit - Attuned translucency In the Vita In-Ceram System, an accurate fitting, highly stable aluminum oxide substructure takes the place of a metal framework.

Proven Other all-ceramic systems emphasize high strength or short term success rates. What really counts is long-term clinical reliability. Vita In-Ceram is the only all-ceramic system proven by millions of successful restorative cases spanning more than 7 years. In-Ceram's success rate of over 98% assures you of a restoration in which both you and your patient can have the highest confidence. Flexible In-Ceram puts you in control. It provides you with options that let you optimize the physical properties of your In-Ceram restoration to match the unique needs of each case. No other all-ceramic system gives you these options. Choice of Luting Technique In-Ceram is compatible with conventional zinc phosphate as well as glass ionomer and composite adhesives. Complete Greater flexibility in lab fabrication is now available with the introduction of the new In-Ceram Rapid-Fire technique. This exciting method for core fabrication can reduce turnaround time by up to 50% without sacrificing the strength and reliability you have come to expect with In-Ceram. Note the incredible esthetics of the In-Ceram Zirconia posterior bridge. In-Ceram is now the only complete all-ceramic system on the market: Only In-Ceram can provide all-ceramic crowns and bridges anywhere in the mouth. Anterior all-ceramic bridges have been available with In-Ceram for over 8 years. Only recently, have other systems tried to catch up. Posterior allceramic bridges are now available with new In-Ceram Zirconia. Once again, In-Ceram leads the way. Following are the advantages of In-Ceram System:

No detrimental influence on the shade by the metal framework. Highly aesthetic layering Shade coloration as in the natural tooth- from within Radiopaque material Minimum thermal irritation Biocompatibility - no risk of allergies
