For example, during World War II, Polish Jews were forced to live in ghettos. They were ghettoized.

Instructions to use the Chart:

If one student who already answered gives another sentence the team doesnt get the point. If they take more than 5 seconds they dont get the point. The Writing Process:


A Paragraph is a group of sentences that tell about one idea or thing. The first word should be indented ( it starts a little to the right of the left-hand margin). The main idea is usually introduced in a sentence called the topic sentence, which usually states an idea or attitude about the topic known as the controlling idea of the whole paragraph. You can follow this formula to write your topic sentence : A limited topic ( Music ) + a specific impression ( helps people relax ) = topic sentence . The first part is the topic and the second is the controlling Idea. Study the topic sentences that follow. Circle the controlling Idea and underline the topic in each sentence. 1. They can also write about any of the topic sentences provided like: smoking is a bad habit. It is up to them to use any of them.
