Nintendo DS Video Games Review (180 Games in 1) Harry J.

Chong Ratings Legend 5 and Below - Bad 6 - Maybe you'll like it. Probably not. 7 - Some Fun, Give it a Chance 8 and Up - Very Fun! 1. Title: MARIO KART DS Genre: Racing What's it about? You race go-karts. With Mario and his friends. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. 2. Title: NEW SUPER MARIO BROS Genre: Platformer, Adventure. What's it about? You control a fat, Italian plumber, and guide through a world full of monsters and warp pipes. Rating: 8 out of 10 3. Title: MARIO PARTY DS Genre: Party Game (Mini Games) What's it about? It's a Super Mario board game, where to win you have to collect the most coins to win the game. You win coins by playing mini games or just by luck. Rating: 7 out of 10. 4. Title: MARIO AND LUIGI - PARTNERS IN TIME Genre: Adventure What's it about? You control Mario and Luigi, at the same time, via top view. Then you engage in battles with enemies and fight them RPG-style. Your mission is to rescue Princess Peach, who has gotten lost in time. The game is an admirable effort. Looks nice and everything, but there are better games than this. It mainly gets its value from the brand name characters. Rating: 6.5 out of 10

5. Title: MARIO VS DONKEY KONG 2 - MARCH OF THE MINIS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You control these toy Marios, individually, and you have to get them through a door marked M. It's similar to Lemmings, but it's much cuter. Rating: 7 out of 10 6. Title: MARIO AND SONIC AT THE OLYMPIC GAMES Genre: Sports What's it about? You play Olympic sports, mini games, as either a Sonic the Hedgehog or Super Mario character. The quality of the games vary...some are more fun than others. To me this seems like a cash grab, but it's not bad for an Olympic game. Rating: 6.5 7. Title: SUPER MARIO 64 Genre: Adventure? What's it about? It's like Super Mario 64 for the N64, except there are a few new elements -- mainly in that you can play with characters other than Mario. I know that people like this game, after all it's Super Mario Bros in 3D, but I didn't think that it was meant to be on a hand held console. It loses some points there. Rating: 6.5 8. Title: YOSHI'S ISLAND DS Genre: Adventure What's it about? You control Yoshi and you are carrying a baby Mario with you. You have to protect him and take him through the Mushroom Kingdom. It was originally released on the SNES, but it is still a fun game. Nothing new though. Rating: 7.5 9. Title: MARIO SLAM BASKETBALL Genre: Sports What's it about?

It's a basketball game with Super Mario characters -- except it's not a traditional basketball game. You have to make use of your stylus, and press symbols on the touch screen to score a basket. You don't get to move around your characters with the direction pad. It's an interesting concept, but in my opinion wasn't done right. Rating: 5.5 out of 10 10. Title: YOSHI TOUCH & GO Genre: Strategy What's it about? There are two games. One where Baby Mario drops from the sky, and you have to guide him down to safety -- using bits of cloud -- and one where you control Yoshi, accompanied by Baby Mario, and you have to take him through the Mushroom Kingdom. You can use clouds too, but you can also throw eggs to kill bad guys, and jump across chasms. All in all it was cute, but nothing substantial. It was like playing two really long mini games inspired by Yoshi's Island. The pace was pretty slow too. Kinda boring, but not necessarily terrible. Rating: 6 out of 10. 11. WARIO WARE TOUCHED Genre: Mini Games What's it about? You play one of three characters, including Wario. Each of which have a storyline. Then you play through their adventures and acquire mini games that require use of the stylus. It's kind of amusing, but overall could not hold my attention long enough. The introduction is painfully long. I hated that you couldn't skip the cut scenes. Rating: 6 out of 10. 12. WARIO - MASTER OF DISGUISE Genre: Adventure What's it about? You play as Wario and you have to go around stealing stuff. You have to get inside treasure trunks, which require you play mini games with your stylus. Once again Nintendo is forcing you to make use of the touchscreen. To move around you use the d-pad, and you have to touch the screen with your stylus to make Wario shoulder charge. Unnecessary. It gets tiresome holding your Nintendo DS in such an awkward position. Rating: 5.5 out of 10 13. POLARIUM Genre: Puzzle What's it about?

Use your stylus on the touch screen to get rid of tiles, flipping them from black to white, and white to black. An ambitious game, but it's as boring as it sounds. Rating: 5 out of 10. 14. PEPPA PIG - FUN AND GAMES Genre: Mini Games What's it about? It's a game for babies/kids. You play cutesy, mini games with a pig. (Like picking apples and growing flowers). They are not challenging or fun at all. But might it be because I'm too old? I can see the appeal for little children. It sort of makes me feel warm inside. But I can only judge it for the fun it provides to me. Rating: 4 out of 10. 15. ZOO KEEPER Genre: Puzzle What's it about? It's a matching game. You have a bunch of animal faces on a grid and you have to change their positions (via rotation) to match them to each other, and get rid of them. It's a lot like Bejeweled. No points for originality, but it does have its appeal. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 16. BOMBERMAN (For the Nintendo DS) Genre: Action, Strategy What's it about? It's basically Bomberman, even with the fancy touchscreen. It's the same old game. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing. However, it's not really that fun playing alone. Bomberman is boring without other players. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 17. WHAC-A-MOLE Genre: Minigames, Puzzle What's it about? It's Whac-a-mole...with a twist! You can play a puzzle mode, in which you have to find patterns, or you can play a fancy version of Whac-a-mole which involves bombs, dynamite, and your stylus. However, despite the concept, this game fails to capture my imagination or attention. At its heart it's basically a game where you tap your touchscreen, and that's all. Not too challenging, and not too fun either.

Rating: 5 out of 10 18. SEGA CASINO Genre: Casino games What's it about? A collection of casino games. Win money to unlock more games. There's nothing new or innovative here. Pretty boring. Rating: 5.5 out of 10 19. Balloon Pop Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Connect the balloons with your stylus to pop them! Make sure they don't fall too far, otherwise you'll lose. A simple concept, but a fun one. Can be addicting. A pretty decent game for a small, fledgling company. Rating: 7 out of 10. 20. Elf Bowling Genre: Sports, Bowling What's it about? It's like bowling, except you're Santa Claus and you have to bowl down elves. A funny idea, but a poorly made game. I think it was originally a flash game from the internet. I wouldn't buy this. There are far better bowling games out there, despite its funniness. Rating: 3 out of 10. 21. BIG MUTHA TRUCKERS Genre: Racing, Car, Sim What's it about? You have to drive a truck and deliver stuff. It can be fun at times, but you can only want to drive a big rig so much. After a while it gets kinda boring. Rating: 6 out 10. 22. FORD RACING 3 Genre: Racing What's it about? Race around! But this is no Gran Turismo. Besides the graphics, I found that driving to be a bit tedious. I didn't feel like I was driving a real vehicle. Rating: 6 out of 10

23. SNOOD 2 ON VACATION Genre: Puzzle What's it about? It's like Bust-a-Move but without the charm. Instead of marbles to shoot, which you have to match, you shoot some weird looking heads. It's not a very good clone. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 24. FRANKLING THE TURTLE Genre: Kids, Mini Games What's it about? You're a turtle and you go around your community to play various challenges (mini games). It's kinda boring to be Frank. These are games designed for toddlers. Plus, a lot of things in it don't make sense. Why am I able to go into options and turn off both my screens? How come Frankling, a turtle, can't swim? Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 26. BILLIARD ACTION Genre: Sports What's it about? It's pool/billiards! You can use traditional controls or the stylus. Not my thing, but it's a decent game, if you like this bar room sport. Rating: 7 out of 10. 27. JAMES POND - CODENAME ROBOCOD Genre: Adventure What's it about? Apparently you're a fish, and you have to go around collecting items, and jumping on bad guys' heads. It's a retro-video game, which I believe was made for the Sega Genesis. This version hasn't added much new. It's still a poor man's Super Mario. Rating: 5 out of 10. 28. BIG BRAIN ACADEMY Genre: Edutainment What's it about? It's another brain training game. Not bad either. Simple enough to understand, though sometimes it can get annoying. I'm not sure whether these mini games actually increase your IQ or keep you sharp, but if we are to assume they do help, then I will have to give this game a decent score. Based not on its funness but rather educational value.

Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 29. MAGNETICA Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You have marbles going around in a circle, on a path to destruction (to be more specific a hole) and to prevent them from going in there you have to throw a marble, and match them to the other marbles by color. It requires use of your stylus. Simple but can be challenging. Rating: 7 out of 10. 30. SUDOKU MANIA Genre: Puzzle What's it about? It's Sudoku, a Japanese game, where you fill in boxes to complete a numbers puzzle. Now, I'm not a fan of Sudoku, but I found the presentation lacking. It's not fresh at all. What makes this better than paper and pen? Rating: 6 out of 10. 31. SUDOKO GRIDMASTER Genre: Puzzle What's it about? It's Sudoku by Hudson Soft! And once again it's just plain Sudoku. Although the presentation of it is decent, and it has a much needed tutorial (if you're new)...but I'm annoyed that I must use my stylus only when other cheaper games, like that of Sudoko Mania, allow me use of the d-pad. Yet this still stands out as the better between the two. Rating: 7 out of 10 32. PAC-PIX Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You have to draw Pacman, on the your touch screen, and he comes to life and you have to guide him about to eat ghosts. It's a lot harder than it sounds, especially if you suck at drawing. The concept is cool but is not my cup of tea. Rating: 6 out of 10. 33. SPACE INVADERS REVOLUTION Genre: Action, Shooter What's it about? It's Space Invaders. You shoot aliens to win. Nothing really, really new here, despite the name.

Rating: 6 out of 10. 34. BUBBLE BOBBLE REVOLUTION What it about? You're a dinosaur and you have to put monsters into bubbles to kill them. Kinda boring. It was annoying when I pressed start/pause and it wouldn't let me quit. You have two versions of the game, the new one and the old one. The old one's better! Rating: 6 out of 10. 35. BRAIN AGE Genre: Education What's it about? Train your brain! Play puzzles and increase your intelligence (somehow). You even get to scream into a microphone to pass one test. However admirable this game is, I cannot say that it is incredibly fun nor will it increase your intelligence. It is just a bit amusing. But I give it points for effort. It's at least as good, if not better than Big Brain Academy. It's more innovative and has real world applications (e.g. arithmetic). The biggest problem though is in recognition, both in hand writing and voice. The technology's just not there and that makes it less appealing than it should be. Rating: 7 out of 10. 36. CLUB HOUSE GAMES Genre: Minigames, Mixed What's it about? It's a bunch of games all under one roof! Including card games, dominoes, and even chess. This is a must have if you have a Nintendo DS. Has a fun chat feature! Rating: 9 out of 10. 37. ROARY THE RACING CAR Genre: Racing, Minigames What's it about? You are Roary the Racing Car! Apparently this is an English children's cartoon character. Anyway, you have a bunch of mediocre mini games, like racing with your stylus, and pressing musical notes, and junk. I wouldn't recommend this, unless you're a fan. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 38. Konductra Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You have to place down squares onto a grid, line them up, and destroy them. The idea is novel, but not exactly new (a lot of games involve matching colors), and I don't see the long term appeal. It's

challenging, although there is a degree of frustration with the game mechanics, and what you can and cannot do. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 39. MONSTER BOMBER Genre: Action, Shooter What's it about? There are monsters on the top screen of your Nintendo DS. They are either red, green, or blue, and you have to destroy them with their specific colors, using the bottom screen, and throwing bombs at them. The bottom screen has four sections, of the four colors, and you have to swipe up with your stylus to shoot. It's like Space Invaders but harder, and not in a good way. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 40. MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL Genre: Sports What's it about? Baseball. Nothing new here, although the game does make good use of the dual screens, but the touch feature was not used in the way I thought it would be. You move the ball around and tap it to pitch, but the mechanics do not go beyond that. It was a missed opportunity at making a game like this more interactive. It's also kind of a pain switching between stylus and regular controls. Poor execution. But if you like baseball this would probably be okay for you. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 41. UNO 52 Genre: Card Game, Board Games What's it about? It's UNO! A poker-style card game. I have no idea what is going on! So, I am going to have to judge from the presentation alone. It looks decent. It has all the features you might want. My only gripe is that white is highlighting rather than yellow in the menu. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 43. TRIONCUBE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? It's like Tetris, except you have to make cubes, and there's a storyline. The more blocks/cubes you bust the more fuel your earn for the birds to go home -- through outerspace. It's kind fun, especially when making chains of blocks, and watching them explode. It's a decent alternative to the beloved Tetris. If you like that you'll probably like this. Rating: 7 out of 10.

44. MAHJONG Genre: Board Game, Puzzle What's it about? It's Mahjong. I have no what the hell is going on, but to my understanding it's the Chinese version of dominoes, and you have to match patterns. It's pretty complicated though I kind of get the idea. My two complaints about this game, the first and most important, it's hard to play this because of depth perception problems. The screen is just too small for this sort of thing, and the graphics aren't there. Also I cannot use the d-pad. Another note is this does not have two player mode. Why? I think they could have added it. However, this does have other nice features, like giving details about the "domino" you're taping. But this does not make good use of the two screens. The top screen really you be used for enlarging the pieces, and it would have been nice if they'd have a highlighting feature. All in all... I don't get it. I'm sure people who play Mahjong would like this though. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 45. JUNIOR BRAIN TRAINER Genre: Educational What's it about? You play game and activities, with an orange squirrel, to make you smarter! It's incredibly elementary. Of course it's for kids. Though I don't think any kids would want to play this. The games aren't that challenging, nor are they fun. But! The concept is interesting. You play educational activities and are then rewarded with games. It serves as a goal, which is really the only thing that made me want to keep going. I kind of feel like this could have been a lot better if it were more challenging, and had better mini games, and score tracking. Rating: 6.0 out of 10. 46. SLINGO QUEST Genre: Puzzle, Strategy What's it about? It's like slot machines. You do a spin, get a set of numbers, and then have to match them to a grid above that also contains numbers. It's not very challenging. It's a bit like Pachinko in that it's based on chance mainly. Not a lot of skill involved, if any. Also, the tutorial bubbles are annoying as heck. They don't go away. The concept, though, isn't a bad one. It would be good for two or more players. A race to the finish line, so to speak. Unfortunately this does not have that. It failed, where it could have succeeded. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 47. MOORHUHN ATLANTIS Genre: Adventure, Platformer What's it about? A chicken Indian Jones. You have to shoot and punch your way (somehow) through ancient ruins, and collect coins. The game is not terrible, but it's not something you'd want to play for more than a couple seconds. It could have been better if the game had an actual goal, rather than just running around, and collecting coins and shit. Why not make it so that the chicken has to collect a certain amount of coins?

And why does a chicken punch? Just give him the gun, and let him blast things. It needs to be a little more fun. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 48. COLOUR CROSS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Numbers and colored squares. Use the numbers to form a rudimentary picture and/or pattern. A novel concept, but not fast paced enough for me. Kind of tedious. It was more like painting by numbers. In reminded me of Sudoku. Rating: 6 out of 10. 49. 1 vs 100 Genre: Game show What's it about? Based on the game show called 1 vs 100. Answer questions with and against the "mob" of 100 people. The concept is fine, but the presentation is lackluster. I do not see how this is better than any other quiz game. However, if you're a fan of the show you may like this. Rating: 6 out of 10. 50. M&M'S BREAK 'EM Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You use an M&M (ball) to clear out colored blocks. Colors must match. Not a challenging game at all. So boring, but if you're fat you may like this. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 51. PUZZLER COLLECTION Genre: Puzzle What's it about? There are you four games: Crossword, Fitword, Sudoko, and Wordsearch. You know what the others are, so what's Fitword? It's like a crossword without any of the intellectualism. You put words onto a grid and make them fit together (matching). Not a bad idea actually, but the mechanics of it in this particular collection are not done too well. I'd rather open up a newspaper and play these games. Rating: 5 out of 10. 52. CRAZY MACHINES Genre: Puzzle What's it about?

Put the machines together, make a crazy machine, and make the objects reach their goals. This is a classic game inspired by the Rube Golderberg machines. It's pretty fun once you get into it, but slogging through the menus, and the clunky interface make this game annoying. It loses points for that, but the main ideas are still all there. Rating: 7 out of 10 53. ZOO QUEST Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You're in a zoo. Lots of circle with pictures of animals inside. Match/connect them together to make them disappear, and win points. Steve Irwin is in this! However, only his picture is shown, and this game kinda falls flat. It's not bad it's just not that enticing. Connecting circles that simply disappear (no explosions or nothing) isn't all too much fun. Rating: 6 out of 10. 54. THE TIMES CROSSWORD CHALLENGE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Crossword puzzles! I think playing in a newspaper is far, far easier than this, and I don't know whether this would be worth a purchase. There is a bit of learning curve. Although it does have its merit, and interesting features, sometimes it can be a pain in the ass. For example, once you switch to the keyboard it seems you can't go back. Also, there are a set amount of puzzles, aren't there? It's not like the newspaper. You get new ones each day. This has limited play value. 450 puzzles represents a little over a year of newspapers. I feel they should have rounded up to 1,000 or add a random element. Or perhaps have an easy mode where some letters are already filled in for you. There could have been so many things, but this is just plain crosswords. Rating: 6 out of 10 55. MAHJONG QUEST - EXPEDITION Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Mahjong. Match the pieces together to win. This version of Mahjong is a lot easier to play than other versions I've played. Not that it's graphically superior, but the play is far more simple, and there is a story line to it. This would have benefited with some competition, either from a computer, or another player. Rating: 7 out of 10. 56. MY FUN FACTS COACH Genre: Educational What's it about? Expand your level of pragmatic knowledge by answering a series of questions on different topics:

Body, Social Life, Mind and Soul, Your World, and Modern Living. In this "game" your progress is tracked, which is very handy. A good idea, however, a bit bare bones. It would have been nice if more effort had been put into it with visual aids. Some of the questions are ridiculous. For example, who cares about Feng Shui? There's no science behind it! Another point is they gloss over things which I think should have more details. Like CPR. The description is...mediocre. Something like that needs more detail, including visuals, and even animation. All in all, I think this is a cute, little application, but it needs more work. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 57. USA TODAY PUZZLE CRAZY Genre: Puzzle What's it about? A collection of four different word games: UP & DOWN WORDS (a Game Where All the Words You Fill in are Connected), WORD ROUND UP (A More Difficult Word Search), Quick Cross (A Simple Crossword Puzzle), and Hidato (a Numbers Game). I liked Word Round Up, and Quick Cross. I'm sure that the other two are appealing to other types of people. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 58. WINX CLUB SECRET DIARY Genre: Kids What's it about? It's a little diary for girls. You can play dress up and enter information about yourself and your friends. I can see the appeal to its target market, but it's not for me, even if I imagine myself as a girl. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 59. DORA SAVES THE SNOW PRINCESS Genre: Kids What's it about? It's just like the TV show! You have fat, little Dora, and you have to participate in her ridiculously simple activities using Spanish. Sure, I know this is for kids, but it could have been better. For example, when Dora is speaking, you see a picture of her and she doesn't even move her mouth. Move your mouth! Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 60. PASS YOUR DRIVING THEORY TEST Genre: Education What's it about? It's a quiz-type game to help you pass your driver's license test in the United Kingdom. It's hard to judge the value of this, because it is what it claims to be. Nothing more, nothing less. Yet it leaves something to be desired. I wonder if they could have made the game more fun by letting you drive and interact with the road. Well, if you need to learn about driving to pass your written test, then I suppose

this is just as good as a book. Obviously this isn't for me. Rating: 6 out of 10. 61. XG BLAST Genre: Space Shooter What's it about? You control this little spaceship, and you have to shoot all the baddies. A variety of enemies and weapons. It is a lot like an updated Asteroids. Rating: 7 out of 10 62. WONDER PETS! SAVE THE ANIMALS! Genre: Minigames What's it about? An overly cute Nickelodeon collection of mini games. Play with a hamster, duck, or turtle. Drag, drop, match, etc. For children, so it's not challenging. It's not the worst game I've seen though. Rating: 6 out of 10. 63. GIANA SISTERS Genre: Adventure, Action, Platformer What's it about? You control a blonde girl and have to get her through a world of madness. But really this is a Super Mario knock off. Not too bad actually. Rating: 7 out of 10. 64. SMILEY WORLD ISLAND CHALLENGE Genre: Boardgame What's it about? You're a weird looking, smiley face character, and you have to jump around on a board, and play mini games. It's a lot like Mario Party, but not as fun. The games are not as original. Rating: 5.5 out of 10 65. BARBIE IN THE 12 DANCING PRINCESSES Genre: Adventure, Platformer What's it about? Play as Princess Barbie and walk around a forest and junk. Cute graphics and all, but pretty boring. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 66. POLAR BOWLER

Genre: Sports What's it about? You have to launch a polar bear in a swim ring and make him knock down the pins... Would have been funnier with penguins. However, this isn't a bad game. It's not very challenging though. That is where it fails. The amount of fun you can have is limited. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 67. EMMA - STUDENT NURSE Genre: Simulation What's it about? It's a French game, where you have to deal with patients, and treat their simple wounds. The mechanics just don't work right for some reason, and even if they did this isn't that exciting. Also, I'm not sure whether it's medically accurate. Rating: 6 out of 10. 68. PUZZLE FLOWERS AND PATTERNS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Put boring jigsaw puzzles together. Not that I have anything against them, but this game is not well done. It's not really a game. It's more of an activity...which is difficult to do, even with two screens. The problem is they tried to make it simulate how a real jigsaw puzzle is, and that in my opinion wasn't smart. You can't just take an idea and try to transfer it verbatim. You have to consider where you're putting it. Rating: 5 out of 10. 69. PUZZLE BABY ANIMALS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Jigsaw puzzles. With baby animals. Not done well. Rating: 5.1 out of 10. 70. NEW TOUCH PARTY GAME Genre: Minigames, Puzzle What's it about? Someone has captured your sister/girlfriend (?). You enter a haunted house and challenge a bunch of ghouls and monsters to puzzles. Win them to win back your beloved. A bag of mini games, some good (e.g. Word Hunt), some not so good. This game fell short in that it did not give tutorials before playing. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

71. WHITAKER FAMILY Genre: Simulation What's it about? Horses. You have to raise a horse and junk. It's like Nintendogs, but no dogs, just horses. I'm not into horses, but if you are, hoo-hoo. Rating: 7 out of 10. 72. CATZ 2 Genre: Simulation What's it about? You can play with a cat. There's not much more than that. You feed it, give it water, buy toys, and rub it and stuff. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 73. LEFT BRAIN, RIGHT BRAIN Genre: Educational What's it about? A game to help you become ambidextrous, meaning you can write or do other tasks with both your left and right hand. A little bit of fun at first, but then you find it's a lot easier to do than you think, then the challenge of it disappears. I got 100% ambidexterity within a few minutes. I'm not ambidextrous. However, I feel if you kept doing these exercises you might in fact gain the ability. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 74. BUNNYZ Genre: Pet, Simulation What's it about? You own a bunny. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 75. HOMIE ROLLERZ Genre: Racing What's it about? You're from the Ghetto and you have to participate in magical races. It's a bit like Mario Kart, except this is really bad. Even if you ignore the crappy graphics, the controls are so crappy. Rating: 5 out of 10. 76. UNDERWATER ATTACK Genre: Shooter

What's it about? You're a whale with a gun, and you have to shoot sea creatures, including sharks. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 77. FIFI AND THE FLOWERTOTS Genre: Minigames, Children What's it about? A collection of cheesy mini games involving Fifi and the Flowertots. Dress up, memory, spot the difference, etc. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 78, LABYRINTH: A RACE FOR TREASURES IN A MOVING HOUSE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Tinker around with a maze/labyrinth to find treasure! You're a blue ball, and your rival is a green ball. Put tiles into place and guide them both. Hard to understand at first, but gets better when you understand it. A bit slow paced, and there was no tutorial as far as I knew. That was a mistake. Took me a while to figure out I was a blue ball. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 79. MY LITTLE PONY: PINKIE PIE'S PARTY Genre: Children, Minigames What's it about? You're a pink pony, you walk around, collecting presents, and playing games. Like watering a garden. Fun if you like the cartoon. I can't fault it for being overly cutesie. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 80. GO DIEGO GO, GREAT DINOSAUR RESCUE Genre: Children, Minigames What's it about? You're this kid Diego and you have to help out some dinosaurs when you travel back in time. You have games like moving rocks, and screaming into the microphone. It's not too bad for a children's game. Rating: 6 out of 10. 81. TOTALLY SPIES 4 Genre: Adventure, Puzzle What's it about? Play as three slutty teenage spies. Go around the world solving crimes and junk. If Sierra made bad, licensed point and click games this would be it. For example, why do I have to find 14 pieces of ripped

paper? Makes no sense. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 82. PRINCESS NATASHA Genre: Action What's it about? You're the slutty little white girl, and you have to cure people of their zombie -like disease. Kung-fu kicks and jumps, and gadgets included, although that's enough to save this game. Rating: 5 out of 10. 83. Title: N + Genre: Action, Puzzle What's it about? You control a little, black man, and through each level you have to find the exit. It's a lot more challenging than it sounds. There are many things/enemies which can kill you. The character reminds me of Spiderman. Rating: 7 out of 10 84. BANGAI-O SPIRITS Genre: Shooter What's it about? You're a robot and you have to go around shooting shit. It's not as straight forward as it sounds. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 85. GARFIELD'S FUN FEST Genre: Adventure What's it about? Play as Garfield and Odie, a cat and dog, and do mundane tasks and shit. Also, mini games. Not bad for a licensed game though. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 86. BAKUSHOW Genre: Party Game, Minigames What's it about? I don't know. Didn't get to play. You need more than one DS to play. 87. SABBUTEO Genre: Sports

What's it about? It's soccer (football), except not in the traditional manner. You have an overhead view of all your players, or pieces rather, and you have to move the soccer ball around using your stylus. But it's not as simple as it sounds. You have to use a hand on the bottom right hand of your screen, and use that to flick the ball forward. It's a lot like common pool/billiard games. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 88. SHINING STARS SUPER STARCADE Genre: Minigames What's it about? You're a dog on a star, and you have to travel around fairgrounds and play mini games, like shooting ducks and junk. Very mediocre. Rating: 5 out of 10. 89. RAIN DROPS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You have these weird, little, baby creatures floating around on flowers. You have to touch them to make them drop to the ground and match them with other baby creatures of the same color. Then they disappear. It's a really random concept, but it just didn't stick with me. Rating: 6 out of 10. 90. MAHJONG ANCIENT MAYAS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Mahjong. Also known as Chinese dominoes. Not bad, presentation-wise, but it could have been done better. Sucky graphics. It looks like something from the SNES. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 91. SOKOBAN Genre: Puzzle What's it about? A gaming classic. Move boxes around to the appropriate targets. More fun than it sounds. Not a perfect game, but you will enjoy it. Rating: 8 out of 10. 92. TENNIS ELBOW Genre: Sports, Tennis What's it about?

Tennis! You move around your player, and, oddly, he hits the ball on his own. The whole game is basically running around and in addition to that the AI is lackluster. The computer keeps hitting "faults." Rating: 6 out of 10. 93. KORG DS-10 SYNTHESIZER Genre: Music What's it about? Play the keyboards. Make use of a virtual synthesizer... I'm sure there are better ways to do this. If it had a tutorial, and a better way to navigate around, it would be much more enjoyable. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 94. MARGOT'S WORD BRAIN Genre: Educational, Puzzle What's it about? A collection of word games. In one game, you get a group of letters and you have to find as much words as possible. The games alone are good, concept-wise, but the presentation is pretty bad. Margot is so annoying. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 95. MY SECRET DIARY Genre: Girls, Children, Simulation What's it about? It's a diary. Note your mood, use a calendar, write down your contacts, fun and games, etc. I recommend a physical diary. Much easier to use...although the mini games aren't too bad. I like the fortune cookies feature. Rating: 6 out of 10. 96. MY FARM AROUND THE WORLD Genre: Simulation What's it about? You own an animal farm, which you have to manage. Feed them and clean their poop. Limited game play. Pretty boring. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 97. DEAL OR NO DEAL - THE BANKER IS BACK Genre: Gameshow What's it about? Pick a suitcase and win money. Not real money sadly. I think this is the UK version. Either way it loses

points for limited play value. The game itself isn't bad, but you play once or twice and that's the end of it. Rating: 5 out of 10. 98. HELLO KITTY DAILY Genre: Productivity What's it about? A Hello Kitty themed organizer basically. You have a diary, pocket money log, alarm clock notepad, friend directory, time table, and calculator. Cute, but kind of pointless. This is just cashing in on the Hello Kitty brand. Rating: 5 out of 10. 99. PEPPA PIG: THE GAME Genre: Minigames, Children What's it about? You play as a pig, and do "fun activities" and play games, like building a snow man, and flying a kite...not very well. Cute but tedious. Rating: 5 out of 10. 100. FOOTBALL DIRECTOR Genre: Sports What's it about? You're a football manager/director... WHY?! Who wants to be a manager? Rating: 3 out of 10. 101. WORD MASTER Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Try to find out the mystery word by guessing letters. Not a bad necessarily game, but it is limited in what you can do. Rating: 7 out of 10. 102. SUPER FUN SUDOKU Genre: Puzzle What's it about? It's Sudoku mania! This thing has a bunch of different Sudoku modes, including a puzzle solver. I can't say I'm a fan of Sudoku, but this is great if you like Sudoku. It's incredibly easy to use. There are only a few things missing: the ability to change music, a high score sheet, and an option for a time limit challenge. However, if you like your games plain, and simple, then this is for you.

Rating: 7 out of 10. 103. THINK LOGIC TRAINER Genre: Educational What's it about? Improve your intelligence in the area of language, memory, mathematics, spatial reasoning, grasp, and logic through playing puzzles and games. Though, once again, I'm not sure how this will increase your intelligence. Sometimes these just help you get better at doing specific tasks on paper. However, there can be fun to had, if you are to believe you are getting smarter. I had some decent fun with the mazes. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 104. ELEMENTS OF DESTRUCTION Genre: Strategy What's it about? You remember the Sims? How you could destroy the city with weather? Well, this is that. ONLY THAT. While it's fun to do for a bit, it does get kind of boring after a while. Rating: 6 out of 10. 105. INDOOR SPORTS CLUB Genre: Sports What's it about? Three games. Darts, bowling, and pool... All games you should play in real life. These games aren't very good substitutes. This games collection is just weird. You press "select" to pause and bring up the menu. That is enough said. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 106. CRAYOLA TREASURE ADVENTURES Genre: Minigames What's it about? Someone has stolen three color crystals which make all the colors in the world. Go on an adventure, playing mini games and solving puzzles to catch the thief. Jigsaw puzzles, colouring, connect the dots, etc. Rating: 5 out of 10. 107. THE SUN CROSSWORD CHALLENGE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Crosswords! 510 of them! However, I find the interface to be clunky. Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't

recognize my handwriting oftentimes. Add this to to how miniscule the words are, and how difficult it is to see the screen, and I recommend just playing traditional crosswords. If you pick this game up for $20.00 you can easily just buy a booklet full of crossword puzzles, with the answers. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 108. JETIX PUZZLE BUZZLE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You're this cute little creature and you have to drop down blocks, and build them up to get to your spaceship. Kinda fun, similar to Tetris, but not much too it. Rating: 6 out of 10. 109. CHESS Genre: Sports, Puzzle What's it about? Chess. Not the spiffiest presentation I've seen, though this game does have interesting features. One, you can play against a local human being (meaning s/he doesn't need another Nintendo DS), and you can do Chess puzzles. Also it's quite customizable. You can even watch historical matches. However, as far as games go, this still lacks presentation-wise, and looks cheaply put together. It would be better to buy Club House games, and get a bunch of other games as part of the package. Rating: 6 out of 10. 110. COMMAND AND DESTROY Genre: Strategy What's it about? You are in a hostile land, and as aliens or humans, you must re-civilize it, and defend it from attackers. It's a lot like Command and Conquer, but not as good. Maybe it's because a game like this isn't meant for a portable console. However, there are a lack of objectives and excitement. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 111. SOLITAIRE Genre: Card Games What's it about? Solitaire and some other game whose name I don't know. It's not bad. You can tap on a lightbulb and it will give you clues. However, they missed out on one big feature -- which is saving. Why can't I save? Why can't I use the d-pad? Why have I been dealt a set of cards that doesn't allow me to finish the game?! Anyway, I've seen better. Rating: 6 out of 10. 112. MATCHSTICK PUZZLE

Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Move the matches to solve puzzles. For example, moving two match sticks to make the number eleven. Not a bad concept, even if old, but game play is extremely limited. No multiplayer, and the amount of puzzles is not as much as I would like. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 113. DOUBLE SEQUENCE - THE Q VIRUS INVASION Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Move around colored blocks to destroy a virus. Sounds exciting but this game is clunky and slow paced. Rating: 5 out of 10. 114. THE ALY AND AJ ADVENTURE Genre: Minigames What's it about? Two slutty, musical sisters have to work together and play crappy mini games for their musical tour. Go around town and select locations to do these activities, which basically just consist of pointing and tapping. Rating: 4 out of 10. 115. LUXOR - PHARAOH'S CHALLENGE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You're in Egypt and there are these balls rolling around town. You have to shoot your balls at them and match colors to make them disappear. Very similar to Magnetica. but this is easier, and has goals. It's almost like an action-puzzle game. Rating: 7 out of 10. 116. HURRY UP HEDGEHOG Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Move around these creepy-ass hedgehogs, on a grid/matrix, and get them home. Seemingly random. Not much fun. Rating: 4 out of 10. 117. FAB 5 SOCCER Genre: Sports

What's it about? It's a soccer game. As far as soccer games go this one is alright. Not the greatest nor the worst. Maybe some music would have helped. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 118. AQUARIUM Genre: Simulation What's it about? It's a virtual aquarium. You have to maintain it. Really boring stuff! Rating: 5 out of 10. 119. FANTASY AQUARIUM Genre: Simulation What's it about? A fantasy aquarium! Run an aquarium with sea turtles, sea horses, whales, penguins, manta rays, etc. Fun for a couple seconds. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 120. TOP TRUMPS: DOCTOR WHO Genre: Card Game What's it about? A Doctor Who card game. Go head to head with an opponent, and choose a characteristic on your character card that you think is superior in order to to win. Win by knowing facts about different characters from the TV show. It's pretty much a memory game. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 121. SUPER DODGE BALL Genre: Sports What's it about? Dodge ball with punching and kicking! Rating: 7 out of 10. 122. EMMA IN THE MOUNTAINS Genre: Children, Minigames What's it about? You play as a little whore named Emma, and you must go to a mountain, and do some meandering challenges, such as guiding a Saint Bernard and rubbing frost off a window. Rating: 5.5 out of 10.

123. USA TODAY CROSSWORD CHALLENGE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Crosswords, once again. Kind of a clunky design, and the screen is a bit hard to see. I'd rather use a newspaper. Rating: 6 out of 10. 124. KAMELEON Genre: Puzzle Play as two Japanese sluts, or two children, and go head to head in a tile capturing game. Pick the right colored tile to fill up your bar and acquire pieces. Not exactly mind boggling nor is it exciting. Rating: 6 out of 10. 125. CRADLE OF ROME Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Match the pieces and make them disappear to score points. A lot like Bejeweled, but not as fun. You can't move around pieces in the same manner. They either go up, or side to side. However, there is a neat feature in this game; you can collect gold, wood, and meat, and use them to buy things. What you get depends on the tiles you choose to eliminate. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 126. HARLEM GLOBE TROTTERS Genre: Sports What's it about? 2 on 2 basketball with the Harlem Globetrotters. Greatly reminds me of NBA Jam, although lacking certain charms. It's okay. Not great, not exactly bad. Basketball fans might like this. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 127. PROFESSOR BRAINMANIAC Genre: Puzzle What's it about? A collection of brain teasing minigames: Switch and swap (switch and match tiles), Sudoku, Karuro, Go, Mahjong, and Mind Jam. None of them are particularly good however. They're all pretty mediocre by today's standards. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 128. MYSTERY MANSION Genre: Puzzle, Minigames

What's it about? Get through a haunted house, inhabited by ghosts and monsters, by solving puzzles and junk. Example of a game, moving around jewels on an old timey scale, and making them balance. A jigsaw puzzle. Selecting a mirror that is reflecting incorrectly. Etc. I have a major problem with this game though. While playing you can't go back to the main menu. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 129. ROCK BLAST Genre: Puzzle It's basically Bust-a-Move in reverse. Instead of shooting colored balls up, you shoot down, and try to match them to make them disappear. Rating: 7 out of 10. 130. HANDS ON! TANGRAMS! Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Tangrams. Ancient Chinese puzzle. Like jigsaws except you put together rudimentary pieces. I found this easier to use than the highly acclaimed Neves, although somehow not as exciting. Rating: 7 out of 10. 131. HERACLES - BATTLE WITH THE GODS Genre: Action What's it about? You're Hercules -- sorry, I mean Heracles, and you have to go around beating up giant rats by throwing pellets at them. Not a good game at all. Rating: 5 out of 10. 132. DR. SEUS - HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? You're the Grinch and you have to steal presents. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 133. WORDJONG Genre: Puzzle What's it about? It has the appearance of Mahjong -- but it's not! Rather you have to match the "dominoes" and put them together to form words. It is an interesting way to play what is essentially word search. Still quite fun.

Rating: 8 out of 10. 134. SOLITAIRE OVERLOAD Genre: Card Games What's it about? A collection of solitaire/single person card games. There is a crap load of selection. I'm not into card games, but this is well put together. Not perfect, but if you like card games this will please you very much: Rating: 7 out of 10. 135. CLUE, PERFECTION, AGGRAVATION, MOUSE TRAP Genre: Board Games What's it about? Your favorite board games. Find a murderer, place pieces into a board, aggravate yourself, and catch mice. I like all of these board games, but they just don't work well on a Nintendo DS, unlike other games such as Monopoly or even Life. I'd rather play the real thing. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 136. PUPPY LUV - SPA AND RESORT Genre: Simulation What's it about? You run a spa and resort for cats and dogs. Play mini games too like guessing how much to feed each animal, killing fleas etc. Rating: 6 out of 10. 137. ARCTIC TALE Genre: Adventure, Minigames What's it about? As a polar bear cub, a walrus, or a fox, explore the arctic in all its plain glory. Do mini games and try not to do. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 138. PIC PIC Genre: Puzzle, Activities What's it about? Complete the mazes and make a picture. Connect the numbers together. Magicpic, which is coloring the numbered squares. It's a lot more complicated than it sounds. In all honesty, I think the games are decent, a good attempt at making something new, but a bit too tedious. Not much flash to it. Boring.

Rating: 6 out of 10. 139. SEA MONSTERS Genre: Adventure. What's it about? You're a swimming dinosaur and you have to find fossiles. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 140. TANGRAM MANIA Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Tangrams. Put together the geometric shapes to make a shape. Not the greatest version I've played, but not bad either. The controls are fairly intuitive and there are enough puzzles to enjoy. I have a few problems though. 1. The timer doesn't count down (not a clock.) 2. No multiplayer. 3. They don't reveal what the tangram is after you solve it. Sometimes I don't know what I'm looking at. Rating: 7 out of 10. 141. BARNYARD BLAST Genre: Horror, Adventure, Shooter What's it about? You're a pig. You have to rescue your son. You're armed to the teeth. Blast the monsters. It's a Castlevania ripoff. Then again Castlevania was a rip off of Bram Stoker's Dracula, no? Anyway, not a bad imitation. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

142. BEETLE JUNIOR DS Genre: Adventure What's it about? You're a beetle and you have to swallow blocks. Rating: 5 out of 10. 143. DORA THE EXPLORER - DORA SAVES THE MERMAIDS Genre: Children, Minigames What's it about? Save the mermaids with Dora. Clean the beaches. Real kiddy stuff. Not the worst children's game I've played. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

144. GO, DIEGO, GO! SAFARI RESCUE Genre: Children, Minigames What's it about? Help the animals. Move rocks around, avoid rocks, blow into the microphone, ride an elephant, etc. Rating: 6 out of 10. 145. POWERPLAY TENNIS Genre: Sports, Tennis What's it about? Tennis. Needs multiplayer. Maybe an improved perspective. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 146. BETTY BOOP - DOUBLE SHIFT Genre: Simulation What's it about? A knock off of that Diner Dash game, except instead of a plain Jane you got Betty Boop working the tables, and keeping the music playing. Rating: 6 out of 10. 147. JELLY BELLY - BALISTIC BEANS Genre: Minigames, puzzle What's it about? Jelly bean pinball. Rating: 6 out of 10. 148. HOLLY HOBBIE AND FRIENDS Genre: Children, Mini Games What's it about? Play mini games and activities, with the slutty, ten year old Holly Hobbie and her best friends. Do a quiz. Collect flowers while riding bicycle. Buy fruit at a supermarket. Match the pictures. And so on. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 149. NEVES Genre: Puzzle What's it about?

You have these geometric pieces and have to fit them together to form specific pictures. A small learning curve at first, but once you get going it can be quite fun. It's like rudimentary jigsaw puzzles, although at times more challenging. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. 150. BACKYARD BASEBALL Genre: Sports What's it about? Baseball. With kids. In a backyard. Cute characters. Simple to play. Rating: 6 out of 10. 151. MOORHUHN: JEWEL OF DARKNESS Genre: Adventure What's it about? Indiana Jones as a chicken. Not a good game. Rating: 5 out of 10. 152. DIARY GIRL Genre: Girls, Productivity What's it about? You have a diary. Add your friends. Play dress up. Stuff for little girls. The concept is okay, but this is a cumbersome for something like the Nintendo DS. I don't think anyone would actually use this to write down their thoughts in the age of Twitter and Facebook. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 153. ELVEN LAND Genre: Puzzle What's it about? A crappy version of Tetris. With elves. Rating: 4.5 out of 10. 154. CHRONOS TWIN Genre: Action, Adventure, Shooter What's it about? The game has a neat concept: plays as two characters at once, past and present. It's neat, but doesn't work in the game. Plus, there generally isn't much to do, and you have these painful story lines that you can't skip. This is like Mega Man, but with a big blue dog, and it's not as good.

Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 155. BACKYARD BASKETBALL Genre: Sports What's it about? Kids playing basketball. It's okay. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 156. BEST OF TESTS Genre: Educational What's it about? Test your intelligence. In a particularly boring manner. Rating: 5 out of 10. 157. BEST OF BOARD GAMES Genre: Board Games What's it about? Board games. Checkers. Chess. Yams. Mahjong. A very small, unimpressive collection. I ran into an error that wouldn't even let me leave the game. The touch screen went to the non-touch screen and wouldn't let me select. Rating: 3 out of 10. 158. B-17 FORTRESS IN THE SKY Genre: Action, Shooter, WW2 What's it about? You have to man a B-17 Fortress. Can you do it? Hard to with the lackluster graphics. The clouds aren't even moving! This does not do World War 2...games justice. Rating: 6 out of 10. 159. KURUPOTO: COOL COOL STARS Genre: PUZZLE What's it about? The introduction is painfully long and boring, but the game play itself is quite interesting. Basically, you are presented with a box, and you have to rotate it to get the stars back into their rings (using the L and R buttons). A bit more complicated than it sounds. Points are lost here for not being able to do quick play. The only mode, it seems, is story mode. The story is dumb and you can't skip it. Rating: 7 out of 10. 160. SUPER FRUIT FALL: DELUXE EDITION

Genre: Puzzle What's it about? A puzzle game. Rotate the fruit, which are trapped in a box, to make them fall and match (then disappear). Very unique in that you can play with two players with one Nintendo DS. Rating: 7 out of 10. 161. SPELLING CHALLENGE AND MORE Genre: Educational, minigames What's it about? Mini games based around spelling. The games are decent, but they are not very creative, nor are they challenging. Rating: 6 out of 10. 162. ATV: Thunder Ridge Riders/MONSTER TRUCKS MAYHEM Genre: Sports, Racing What's it about? Race an ATV or monster truck. Pretty awful. Terrible sound, graphics, and controls. Rating: 4.5 out of 10. 163. THE BEE GAME Genre: Adventure What's it about? Play as Maya the Bee or her male companion. Go around collecting flowers, hovering about, and stomping on snails. Mini games too. Cute but in the end not exciting. Boring. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 164. BALLS OF FURY Genre: Sports What's it about? Based on the movie you love to hate. Play ping pong basically. A crap version of it. Rating: 5 out of 10. 165. RYTHM 'N NOTES Genre: Educational, Musical What's it about? This game kind of hits a dead zone. You learn about music. Yes, but it's not good enough for a beginner, and it's not good enough for someone who has experience. It just falls flat as something that teaches. It has no organization to it.

Rating: 6 out of 10. 166. SUPER COLLAPSE 3 Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Touch the colored blocks, three or more connecting, and make them vanish. Simple but can be addicting. Rating: 7 out of 10. 167. OMG 26: OUR MINI GAMES Genre: Puzzle What's it about? This is the same thing as MYSTERY MANSION. It's just under a different title. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 168. SCHAAKMAT! Genre: Board games, Puzzle, Strategy What's it about? This is just "Chess" under a different title. Rating: 6 out of 10. 169. DEAL OR NO DEAL (UK) Version Genre: Gameshow What's it about? Pick a box, and pick more boxes. See if you're a winner. Play as a regular player or a banker. Based on the hit game show from the UK. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 170. PUZZLE DE HARVEST MOON Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Grow crops on a grid, competing against other players. Find a strategy and collect the most points. I found this to be way to frantic and non-linear. I did not enjoy it as a puzzle game, although the characters were cute. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 171. POWER PLAY POOL

Genre: Sports, Pool What's it about? Pool. It's not too bad. You can either use the stylus or regular controls, and you can play as any of many character, male or female. I should note the character named Kate looks a lot like the actress who played Hermione Granger. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 172. CHICKEN ATTACK DS Genre: Puzzle, Adventure What's it about? You're a chicken and you have this weird shield thing. Anyway, you have to use it to knock a ball back and forth, and break objects. That's how you advance through the level. It's a lot like Arkanoid or Break Out, but not as fast paced and exciting. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 173. CRAZY PIG Genre: Minigames What's it about? Take care of your pig and play mini games with it. Rating: 6 out of 10. 174. FRISBEE DISC SPORTS Genre: Sports What's it about? Play Ultimate or Frisbee Golf. The golf part isn't bad, but the Ultimate is terribly...the controls are awful. You can only run straight, meaning no diagonals. Actually, you can run diagonals, but it seems sporadic. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 175. SOLIATIRE OVERLOAD Genre: Card Games This is a repeat of game 134! Rating: 7 out of 10. 176. BRAIN BUSTER: PUZZLE PACK Genre: Educational, Puzzle What's it about? Five Japanese style number based puzzle games: Kakuro, Slitherlink, Light Up, Nurikabe, and Sudoku.

The presentation can be a bit confusing, but the games can be fun, if you like mind teasers. They also have tutorials. I was particularly attracted to "light up." However, given the amount of games out there, excellent puzzle games, I cannot bear to give this anything too high. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 177. SEGA PRESENTS: TOUCH DARTS Genre: Bar Sports What's it about? Darts and dart related mini games. It's okay, I guess. It's not like the real thing. Seriously. For $20 just buy a real dart board from China. Much more fun. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. 178. F-24 STEALTH FIGHTER Genre: Shooter What's it about? You're an F-24 stealth fighter. Sort of cute, but the game lacks goals, and the controls are a bit wonky. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 179. Ed's Farm (This is actually 180, because I accidentally deleted a game.) Genre: Puzzle, Platformer What's it about? You guide around an old man, jump on switches, and help rabbits go into a hole. It's a bit like Lemmings, except it's terrible. Graphics are cheesy and the play is choppy and unnatural. Rating: 4 out of 10 (GAME IDEA: Train your brain, learn another language, and enrich your knowledge all at the same time, through a series of fun mini games.)

------------------------------- OTHER REVIEWS ------------------------------** TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES 3: MUTANT NIGHTMARE Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? You are a ninja turtle. Play as Raph, Leo, Don, or Mike. Bust up the bad guys and kill the aliens. Fun at first but gets frustratingly difficult as you go on to the point you hate it. Rating: 6 out of 10. TRAUMA CENTER: UNDER THE KNIFE Genre: Simulation What's it about? Heal people's wounds. Treat the sick. Cut up some flesh. Rating: 8.5 out of 10. UNSOLVED CRIMES Genre: Simulation What's it about? You're a hard boiled detective and you gotta go around finding out who did what before the case goes cold. Murder involved. Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

NAMCO MUSEUM Genre: Games Collection What's it about? A collection of Namco favorites, including: Galaxian, Pacman, Galaga, Tower of Druago, Mappy, Xevious, and Dig Dug. The fun thing about this is all the adjustments you can do to the games. You can even, virtually, go inside the arcade boards and play with the switches. Rating: 7 out of 10. MR. DRILLER: DILL SPIRITS

Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Drill your way down and destroy the evil colored soil! Rating: 7 out of 10. MOON Genre: First Person Shooter What's it about? You're on the moon! Everything's gone wrong and you have to defend yourself with an assault rifle. Very similar, atmosphere-wise, to Metroid; hough I think it would be considered the inferior game in most people's eyes, I think this Moon is a smidgen better, mainly because the storyline has more direction. It's a bit less complicated. You can get immersed into the world easier. I have to make a note...that these games would be much more enjoyable with proper controls. D-pad should be forward and back, and "strafe." L and R should be to turn. X and B should be for looking up and down. Y should be for ducking. A should be for shooting. Use the touch screen for a mini map and to select weapons or do other actions. Also, doors opening, and jumping should be automatic. Rating: 7 out of 10. MIAMI NIGHTS - SINGLES IN THE CITY Genre: Casual, Simulation What's it about? It's a dating game. Kinda like the Sims -- but you're a whore of a man or woman. When I played it there was an error the screwed up my whole game, so I take points of for that, but I must this game is my guilty pleasure. It is my 50 Shades of Grey. I'm lowering the score to reflect sanity. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

METEOS - DISNEY MAGIC Genre: Puzzle What's it about? The Disney version of the popular game, Meteos. It's a lot like Tetris Attack, except you can go in any direction except diagonal. So basically you switch up the blocks, and make 'em match, and disappear. Not a new concept however. Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10. MY SPANISH COACH - LEVEL 2 Genre: Educational What's it about? Expand your vocabulary with a not so sexy Spanish teacher. Needs pronunciations and a better organization. Not as fun as the first, despite having a variety of games. Yet it still can be valuable in helping you learn the language. It mainly acts as reinforcement in my estimation. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. MY CHINESE COACH What's it about? Learn Chinese. She's not as sexy as the French or Spanish girl, but she'll do. Play games, record audio, and listen to clips to learn Chinese. Rating: 7 out of 10.

SUDOKURO Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Sudo and Karuro games. It'd decent, but not anything amazing. Rating: 5 out of 10. CUSTOM ROBO ARENA Genre: RPG, Action

What's it about? In the future -- or in Japan -- a popular hobby is to build and upgrade mini robots, and battle them out. Basically, that's what you have to do here. Fight these little robots. It can get to be a lot of fun. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. PAWS & CLAWS: BEST FRIENDS, DOGS & CATS Genre: Simulation What's it about? It's a pet simulation game. A good amount of luck is involved, although I can see how you'd develop strategy. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. BIG BAG MINI Genre: Action, Strategy, Artistic What's it about? You're a triangle and you have to throw fireworks at balloons to collect stars. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

DECA SPORTS DS Genre: Sports, Minigames

What's it about? Sports-themed minigames, from golfing to arm wrestling. A decent concept but the controls are just a bit off, rendering some of the tasks un-enjoyable. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. THE LEGENDARY STARFY Genre: Adventure, Kids What's it about? You're a little, yellow star fish, and you have to go around helping animals in the sea by power swimming, and spinning about. Not the height of video game adventure, but not bad either. It's for children! Rating: 7 out of 10.

MONSTER TALE Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? Megaman meets Castlevania! Not as exciting as it sounds, although this game does have some merit. STYLE SAVVY Genre: Simulation. What's it about? Ah, fuck, the intro was so long. Anyway, you work in a clothes shop and you have to help people try on clothes. Gets seriously boring after two minutes, and it's racist. The first two white girls that came into the shop each had a budget of $1,000 or more, then that black girl comes in, and she can only afford $96 worth of clothes. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. ANIMAL PARADISE Genre: Simulation What's it about? Take cares of animals. Not bad, but not as good as Nintendogs or the Catz/Dogz sequels Rating: 6 out of 10. POP CUTIE STREET FASHION SIMULATION Genre: RPG What's it about? You're a small time fashion designer and you want to make it big. Can you?! Run a shop. Make clothes by getting inspired with words. THE QUEST TRIO: JEWELS, CARDS, AND TILES Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Three games. Jewel Quest, Solitaire, and Mahjong, with a thirst for adventure. Each game can stand on its own. JOHN DEERE - HARVEST IN THE HEARTLAND Genre: Simulation What's it about? Run a farm. Load times a pain in the butt. Some errors. Good concept, good artwork, bad execution. Rating: 6 out of 10.

GIRL TIME - EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR A HIP, HAPPENING LIFE Genre: Girls, "Productivity" What's it about? Sort of a neat concept. Take quizzes, make an avatar, learn about yourself according to the "elements,"

maintain a diary, get a horoscope reading, check your IQ, etc. HOWEVER... Done in a clunky manner. I didn't find it too enjoyable. Yes, I'm not a girl but am open minded to these things. Just as an example of its clunkiness, they let you type out info with a telephone-style keyboard, so you have to press a button up to three times to get the letter you want. Just dumb. If they had made it a bit more slick it could have worked. Rating: 6 out of 10.

JEWELS OF THE AGES Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Similar to Jewel Master, which is similar to Bejeweled. Switch around the pieces, make them match, and disappear. Not any better nor any worse than the others. With Ancient Greek theme. Rating: 7 out of 10.

WWE - SMACKDOWN VS RAW: 2009 Genre: Sports, Wrestling

BURGER ISLAND Genre: Strategy, Puzzle What's it about? Make hamburgers! Rating: 7 out of 10. DISNEY'S ALICE IN WONDERLAND Genre: Adventure What's it about? Use your stylus to guide the White Rabbit ("McTwisp") and Alice through Wonderland ("Underland"). Use your watch as a weapon. Make sure she doesn't get sucked up into vortexes and so forth. A beautiful game with adventure. However, it fails for me, because you can only use the stylus, and not conventional controls. A stylus is good as a supplementary, but should not be the mainstay of something where you have to explore such a large world. Rating: 7 out of 10. SCRABBLE: CROSSWORD GAME Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Lay the word tiles down, spell words, and win points. I think Scrabble itself is a good (board) game, but the mechanics of this just don't work. I have no idea why the eff they didn't use both screens to display the board, instead they choose to display your avatars. Rating: 6 out of 10.

ADVENTURE TIME: HEY, ICE KING! Genre: Adventure What's it about? You're carrying around a little dog, and you collect items, and punch worms and junk. The characters are cute though not much fun to play with. Seems inspired by the old Zelda games.

Rating: 6 out of 10.

Do various missions, stay alive, and don't pee yourself. Rating: 6 out of 10. VIVA PINATA - POCKET PARADISE Genre: Children, Minigames What's it about? You have these living Pinata creatures, and you have to make them do stuff...and junk. Make a horse pick up bales of hay, poke a hedgehog with a shovel, etc. I know it's a kid's game, but... Rating: 5 out of 10. GAME & WATCH COLLECTION Genre: Minigames

What's it about? You can only get this from Club Nintendo. There are three games from the device that inspired the Nintendo DS: OIL PANIC, DONKEY KONG, GREEN HOUSE. Keep in mind these games are supposed to be extremely basic. It is replicating nostalgia, and I think it does it well, especially seeing that the Nintendo DS is basically based of the Game and Watch devices. Rating: 7 out of 10. JUNIOR CLASSIC BOOKS Genre: Educational What's it about? A collection of fantastic books! Yet it fails to please. You simply cannot read these on the Nintendo DS. Well, you can, but it's not so pleasant. I'd rather download these onto a tablet, or hear the audio, or pick up the actual book. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. NICKTOONS MLB (BASEBALL) Genre: Sports What's it about? Play baseball with your favorite MLB stars and Nicktoons characters. Not perfect, but not bad either. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. WRECK-IT-RALPH Genre: Adventure, Action What's it about? The bugs have returned. Play as Ralph and Felix from the famous Disney movie. I liked the movie but this game stinks. It's slow and unwieldy. Not much fun at all. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. FARM FRENZY Genre: Simulation What's it about? Run an animal farm. Raise chickens, collect their eggs... But why do the chickens eat grass? Rating: 6 out of 10. JEWEL MASTER COLLECTION Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You have two games: JEWEL MASTER EGYPT, which is similar to Bejeweled (you switch around the pieces to match them), and then you have CRADLE OF ATHENA, which is along the same lines. Rating: 7 out of 10. SOLITAIRE OVERLOAD PLUS Genre: Card Games What's it about? Solitaire, Mahjong, plus Tangrams. Rating: 6 out of 10. ULTIMATE CARD GAMES

Rating: 6.5 out of 10. MONOPOLY Genre: Board Games What's it about? Build a monopoly in real estate. Make your friends go bankrupt. Good fun. But I recommend playing the actual board game. Monopoly on a tiny screen is still cumbersome. Rating: 6.5 out of ten. 100 ALL TIME FAVORITES Genre: Games Collection What's it about? A games collection, from pool to chess. Well done actually. Near the same level as Club House games. Rating: 7 out of 10. 4 GAMES FUN PACK - Monopoly, Yahtzee, Boggle, Battleship Genre: Board Games What's it about? A collection of 4 classic board games. Found it sort of confusing despite knowing most of the rules. The layout is not intuitive. Rating: 5 out of 10 THE PRICE IS RIGHT Genre: Gameshows What's it about? For the first few minutes a ridiculous disclaimer. Then later you get to play The Price Is Right. Guess the prices and win (fake) money! Not as exciting as the show however. Rating: 6 out of 10 UNO, SKIP BO, UNO FREE FALL Genre: Card Games

What's it about? As far as I know, Uno. A decent virtual replica of the game, I think. If you're an Uno fan you'd like this. Rating: 7 out of 10. WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? Genre: Gameshow What's it about? A quiz game. Try to get a million dollars. A decent version of the game show. You'll like it more if you've ever watched it on the tele. Rating: 6 out of 10. WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE? 2ND EDITION. (UK) Genre: Gameshow What's it about? The international version of "WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?" In several languages, and uses video instead of computer graphics. It's fun learning about other cultures. I selected French as my language and failed. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

INTELLIVISION LIVES Genre: Minigames, Retro, Arcade Collection What's it about? Remember the Intellivision? Well, here is a collection of crappy Intellivision games. It's not that I have anything against old video games, but this collection isn't that great. Since there's no nostalgia factor for me, I do not feel like this is enjoyable. Don't get me wrong. I like a lot old games, including Asteroids, and Pong, but these stink. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. PHOENIX WRIGHT - ACE ATTORNEY Genre: Simulation What's it about? You're a young lawyer, trying to keep your friend from being blamed for murder. Lot more exiting than it sounds. Rating: 8 out of 10.

RETRO ATARI CLASSICS Genre: Minigames, Games Collection What's it about? Pong. Sprint. Tempest. Warlords. Asteroids. Break Out. Centipede. Gravitar. Lunar Lander. Missile

Command. Plus remixes. So, all the games that made Atari into what it is today. An icon. And nothing more. Rating: 7 out of 10. ATARI GREATEST HITS VOL 1 Genre: Minigames, Retro What's it about? Asteroids, Battlezone, Centipede, Gravitar, Lunar Lander, Missile Command, Pong, Space Duel, Tempest, and a boatload of Atari 2600 games. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. ATARI GREATEST HITS VOL 2 Genre: Minigames, Retro What's it about? Retro Atari fun! Like Milipede, Super Break Out, Asteroids Deluxe, etc. The presentation is well done. A treat if you like older video games. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. BOING! DOCOMODAKE! Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Way too bizarre and tedious for me. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. BOOKWORM Genre: Puzzle, Word Game What's it about? It's basically a word search, except they don't tell you what words to find. Oh and there's a cute worm. Can be quite addicting. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. RYTHM HEAVEN Genre: Minigames, Music What's it about? Increase your rhythm, so they say, by playing mini games and activities based on sound. However, I

found I played the games better when focusing visually. I found this to be boring at best. Rating: 5 out of 10. JEOPARDY Genre: Game Show What's it about? Answer answers with questions, based on the famous game show. The idea itself isn't bad but the presentation isn't fantastic. It lacks...life. Rating: 6 out of 10. PASS THE PIGS - LET TH GOOD SWINES ROLL Genre: Board Game What's it about? Roll some pigs and make them land in a certain way to collect points, and win. Based on the game where you actually have to roll (plastic) pigs. It just doesn't translate. Rating: 5 out of 10. PRESS YOUR LUCK Genre: Game Show What's it about? A game show style game. Buzz in and answer questions to win big cash. Not too bad actually, if you ignore the horrendous load time. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. NINJA REFLEX Genre: Action What's it about? Using your stylus, catch fish, throw ninja stars, do stuff (stereotypical) ninjas do basically. An interesting concept but the game is not substantial enough. Limited play value. Also, catching fish was a pain in the ass. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. MICHAEL JACKSON - THE EXPERIENCE Genre: Music

What's it about? Dance with Michael Jackson by tapping circle on your stylus. The music is great, but the gameplay is boring as shit. Rating: 5 out of 10. THE NEW YORK TIMES CROSSWORDS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? NYT Crosswords. This is probably the most sensible video crossword I've played so far. It's made so you don't have to squint. It's also pretty easy to understand too. I still prefer an actual newspaper, but major points for keeping it easy. Rating: 7 out of 10. TETRIS PARTY DELUXE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? It's Tetris. Fit the blocks together and make 'em disappear. Try to score as high as possible. This is not my favorite version of Tetris, but it is Tetris. You can't screw it up. Rating: 7 out of 10. 100 CLASSIC BOOKS Genre: Books What's it about? It's not a game. It's a collection of 100 books. You can read lots of books. I would say it's pretty decent for what it's trying to be, except it has no background music. Why no music to relax you? Or how about highlighting? I guess it's kind of limited in what it can do. Read a real book or listen to audio. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. FEEL THE MAGIC - XY XX Genre: Minigames What's it about? You want to get the attention of an ugly black woman, so you join a performance group called the "Rub Rabbits." Then you have to do a lot of absurd mini games to progress forward. For example, rubbing fish out of someone's stomach... You heard right. It's one of those absurdist Japanese games. But is it fun? Sometimes. The mini games are a mixed bag. Rating: 6 out of 10.

1001 TOUCH GAMES Genre: Minigames What's it about? A shitload of "touch" minigames. Surprisingly, some are good fun. My only problem with this is how it's organized. I feel like there should have been some sort of storyline...or a way to play the games altogether, cohesively, rather than going through each individually. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. CROSSWORDS DS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Crosswords! This is probably the best crosswords game on the Nintendo DS. It's simple and easy to use. Very accessible. Well done. Rating: 8 out of 10. FLASH FOCUS - VISION TRAINING IN MINUTES A DAY Genre: Productivity. Minigames What's it about? Apparently you can improve your visual-acuity by playing these games. I doubt it. None of this has been verified. However, if you take it for the mini games alone, they can be quite fun. Fans of Brain Age would enjoy this. This has an "eye age" instead of a "brain age." Rating: 7 out of 10. LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD - ZOMBIE BBQ Genre: Horror, Action What's it about? A mindless zombie shooting game. Use your stylus to shoot, and the d-pad to maneuver side to side on a path of monsters. Kind of fun for a couple of seconds, but loses its charm very fast. And I have no idea why the female character is wearing such a skimpy outfit. You'd think during a zombie apocalypse you would dress appropriately. Rating: 6 out of 10. MASTER OF ILLUSION Genre: Minigames, Magic What's it about?

You're a magician! Earn points by doing challenges, and do "real" magic tricks on the Nintendo DS. Simplistic yet fun. Although sometimes it's a pain in the ass. You need a regular deck of cards BTW. Rating: 7 out of 10. THE SIMS 3 Genre: Simulation What's it about? It's your second life! Make a little human being, construct a house, and live your life. It's not as good as what you get on PC, but it is decent when you consider the limitations of a handheld console like the Nintendo DS. Rating: 7 out of 10. TOUCHMASTER Genre: Minigames, Assorted What's it about? A load of minigames for the Nintendo DS. Not the greatest games ever, but designed well enough, and good for killing time. Rating: 7 out of 10. HIDDEN OBJECTS: MYSTERY STORIES Genre: Puzzle (Puzzling?) What's it about? Go on an adventure! Click the picture to find the objects! It's like Where's Waldo but far more boring! I think the concept is okay, but the it just doesn't work on a small, small screen. Plus, it's pretty bare bones. Bad music, and no style, or flare. How about a making a couple of the object animated? Rating: 5.5 out of 10. 50 CLASSIC GAMES Genre: Puzzle, Collection, Minigames What's it about? 50 Classic games, from Mahjong to Chess...with really terrible music, and bad graphics. Rating: 6 out of 10. I SPY FUN HOUSE Genre: Puzzle, Minigames

What's it about? It's "I Spy" on the Nintendo DS. Play mini games and find the hidden objects. This is super duper boring. Rating: 5 out of 10. LET'S DRAW Genre: Activities, Minigames, Artistic What's it about? Draw doodles and play mini games. Made for kids really but presentation wise fairly well done. A decent time killer. Rating: 7 out of 10. My French Coach Genre: Educational What's it about? Learn French! French for beginners. Learn vocabulary, and basic grammar by doing activities. It's probably cheaper and easier to buy a book, but what the heck. Have some fun while learning French, no?! Rating: 7.5 out of 10. My French Coach - Level 2 Genre: Educational What's it about? Learn French with activities and games. This one isn't as good as the first. It has no pronunciation/audio for words. It throws a lot out at you without necessarily being much fun. However, there aren't many program to teach you French, so this is still a valuable tool in expanding your French vocabulary. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. Tetris DS Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Fit the colored blocks together and make them go away. It's Tetris but with a twist -- it has various Nintendo characters to help you along in your journey. Very fun. Rating: 10 out of 10.

Bejeweled 3 Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You got a grid full of gems. You have to switch them around to match them and make them disappear. Rating: 7 out of 10. Genre: Game Show, Educational What's it about? A quiz show in which you try to prove yourself smarter than a 5th grader. Questions based on 5th grade knowledge. Crappy graphics, and limited game play, but sometimes can be fun. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. ARKANOID DS Genre: Strategy, Puzzle What's it about? It's like one way Pong or Atari's Break Out. Basically, bounce the ball and break the bricks. Rating: 7 out of 10. ART ACADEMY Genre: Educational, Artistic What's it about? Learn to draw. You won't become a master but it can be some fun. It's step by step. The first lesson shows you how to draw a circle, which then becomes an apple. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. BROTHERS IN ARMS DS Genre: War, First Person Shooter

What's it about? A WW2 first person shooter. Battle the Nazis. Move using the d-pad and aim using the stylus. Unfortunately, this gets tiresome after a while. Yes, I know, it's nothing compared to what those war heroes went through, but that's still not an excuse for a game that wasn't thoroughly thought through. Rating: 7 out 10.

Bejeweled Twist Genre: Puzzle What's it about? You got a grid full of gems. Rotate them to match other gems, in order to make them disappear. Similar to Bejeweled 3, but I preferred this version, although I thought the theatrics were just idiotic. Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

LEGO HARRY POTTER - YEARS 1-4 Genre: Adventure What's it about? Lego. Harry Potter. Rating: 7 out of 10. LEGO HARRY POTTER - YEARS 5-7 Genre: Adventure What's it about? Lego. Harry Potter. I found the controls on this one to be far better than the first, however, I was not too pleased with the drawing style. Yet it was still fun. This might be dependent on whether you are a Harry Potter fan or are open to the world of gay magic. Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing Genre: Sports, Racing What's it about? Choose your favorite Sonic or Sega character and race in weird, wild worlds. Lots of fun. Despite being an imitation, I prefer this over Mario Kart. Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART 1 Genre: Adventure What's it about? Harry Potter and his gang return for one last adventure...of two parts. Pretty boring shit. You have to go around, as Harry, and do meandering, mindless tasks. You'll only enjoy it for the storyline and Hermione's polygon butt. Strangely this is the only game that remotely resembles the actress who played her. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART 2 Genre: Adventure What's it about? The last chapter in the Harry Potter series. Sad isn't it? Well, not really. None of these characters are real. However, all is not lost. Part 1 of Deathly Hallows is an improvement. The controls are better. You can use the d-pad to move around, and still make use of the touch screen to cast spells. Rating: 6 out of 10. HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE Genre: Adventure What's it about? Harry Potter. SNAPE IS THE HALF BLOOD PRINCE. This is probably the best out of all the nonLego Harry Potter games. The usual however. Go around and doing magic and so forth. Actually, out of all the games this one makes me the saddest. There's something cheesy about it that I like. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX Genre: Adventure What's it about? Harry Potter joins the Order! Do boring tasks like findinga a girl named Angelina, and walking around a huge fucking castle. Rating: 5 out of 10. Mario vs Donkey Kong - Mini-Land Mayhem! Genre: Puzzle

What's it about? Control these mini Marios and guide them through various levels. Very reminiscent of Lemmings. Most enjoyable. Rating: 7 out of 10. METROID PRIME HUNTERS Genre: First Person Shooter What's it about? You're Samus/Metroid and you have to make your way through a space station and shoot monsters. An admirable effort, and decent controls for an FPS on the Nintendo DS, but ultimately it fails for me. I found it too tedious, and boring. I bet other people enjoyed it however. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. SONIC CLASSIC COLLECTION Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? You're a hedgehog and you have to race around to defeat Doctor Eggman. These are all retro-games however, so you'll have to be a fan to enjoy this. It's just like playing on an emulator. Rating: 7 out of 10. SONIC COLORS Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? Sonic the Hedgehog. Race and roll around some whacky-ass levels and have fun. Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

ZUMA'S REVENGE Genre: Puzzle What's it about? Match the marbles. You're a frog in a coil of marbles, and you have to make them disappear by matching them together. This is a lot like Magnetica, but with a storyline, and the controls are easier too. The graphics are not as great, but this version still stands out as the superior one. Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

AGE OF EMPIRES: MYTHOLOGIES Genre: Strategy What's it about? It is the age of empires! Conquer and destroy your enemies! Defend your land! ...So how is the game play? Well, it's okay. It's a lot like Advance Wars. I would say if you had that game you wouldn't need this. However, here, the graphics are better (but not any easier to see), and you have the interesting back stories that made me attracted to this game in the first place. Yet I could not stand to play this for too long. The DS is not made for this sort of game. Screen's too small. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. AMERICA'S TEST KITCHEN: LET'S GET COOKING Genre: Educational What's it about? Learn to cook, guided by the voice of a middle-aged American man. It's pretty much an interactive cook book. I'd rather have a cook book actually, although this isn't a terrible product. Rating: 7 out of 10. HENRY HATSWORTH: THE PUZZLING ADVENTURE Genre: Adventure, Puzzle What's it about? It's like two games in one. An adventure game, in which you play as the swashbuckling Henry Hatsworth, and the puzzle side, which is basically just Tetris Attack. A most unusual but fun combination. My main problem with this game is you can't play the puzzle game alone, and no multiplayer. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. NINJA GAIDEN: DRAGON SWORD Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? You're a female ninja. Use your stylus as the equivalent to a sword. Slash through enemies and explore ancient Japan. Rating: 7 out of 10. WORMS: OPEN WARFARE Genre: Strategy, Action What's it about? A turn-based game. Worms versus worms. Use a range of weapons, from rocket launcher to dynamite

to kill your opponent. This version of worms loses points for not having a proper, local multiplayer, in which you can use a single Nintendo DS. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. WORMS: OPEN WARFARE 2 Genre: Strategy, Action To quote: "A turn-based game. Worms versus worms. Use a range of weapons, from rocket launcher to dynamite to kill your opponent." This doesn't have local multiplayer either, but there are some improvements in its gaming experience. Rating: 7 out of 10. INTERACTIVE STORY BOOK DS: SERIES 1 Genre: Educational What's it about? Fun activities -- coloring, play the harp, how many? and drawing -- and four interactive stories, including The Three Little Pigs, The Snow Queen, The Bat, and Kaguyahime. Obviously for kids. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

Pac'n Roll Genre: Adventure What's it about? You're Pac-Man, a big yellow ball, and you have to roll it through Pac World and collect pellets. I feel this would have been a better game if conventional controls were allowed. Still enjoyable however. Rating: 7 out of 10. NINJA TOWN Genre: Strategy What's it about? A tower-defense game. Use ninjas to defend against monsters. Not a bad concept, but I feel that this is not suited for the Nintendo DS. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. NEW INTERNATIONAL TRACK AND FIELD Genre: Sports What's it about?

Track and field sports. Race and compete using your stylus. Unfortunately, the controls are not very well done. It's mad the way they expect you to rub your touch screen at 100 miles per hour. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. TONY HAWK'S AMERICAN SKATE LAND Genre: Sports What's it about? Choose a custom character and skate your heart out. Great music. Greatly reminds me of Jet Set Radio. Rating: 7.5 out of 10.

LET'S YOGA Genre: Educational What's it about? Learn Yoga! It seems pretty useful if you want to learn about the art of yoga. It allows you to rotate the (CGI) model, and pause whenever you want. The lessons are fairly simple. Although a video might be better. Rating: 7 out of 10. Golden Eye 007 Genre: First Person Shooter What's it about? I believe this is a remake of the classic! Play as James Bond, go on spying missions, sleep with women, and kill people with a license. Rating: 7 out of 10. MIGHT AND MAGIC: CLASH OF HEROES Genre: Puzzle, Strategy What's it about? A "chess" game of might and magic. Combine your characters, make formations, and attack your opponent. Turn by turn. Rating: 7 out of 10. PUZZLE QUEST: CHALLENGE OF THE WAR LORDS Genre: Puzzle, Adventure

What's it about? Bejeweled + an adventure game all wrapped in one. Be a warrior, knight, druid, or wizard. Rating: 7 out of 10. Mega Man Zero Collection Genre: Action What's it about? You're Zero, Mega Man's rival. In the future, as a robot, you need to destroy the baddies. Simple, good fun. Four titles total. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero Genre: RPG, Adventure What's it about? A beautiful game. Greatly reminds me of Pokemon. Basically, you have to kidnap these creatures called Elebits, and enslave them. Wow! Rating: 7.5 out of 10. Okamiden Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? You're a dog in ancient Japan. As you step on the ground flowers and plants grow. Paint stuff to make them appear in reality. Rating: 7 out of 10. SEGA SUPERSTARS TENNIS Genre: Sports What's it about? Tennis. With Sega characters. It's as good as any other Tennis game out there. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. SPACE INVADERS EXTREME Genre: Action What's it about?

It's Space Invaders. Shoot aliens and defend yourself. This version however is awful. The background and colors are extremely distracting. It makes the game worse. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. ROBOCALYPSE Genre: Strategy What's it about? You have a map and a big, fat robot. Use him to protect your territory. Grow your army. Etc. Kind of like Age of Empires (for the PC), but not quite so exciting. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. PREY THE STARS Genre: Strategy, Action What's it about? You're a monster. Eat the food on the floor as fast as you can. Sort of cute, but I found it to be boring. Rating: 6 out of 10. Snowboard Kids: SBK Genre: Sports What's it about? You're a kid, and a snowboarder. Race through the mountains. Rating: 7 out of 10. My Frogger: Toy Trials Genre: Adventure, Strategy, Minigames What's it about? You get an egg through the mail. It hatches into a frog. Play with your frog. Not as good as frogger. Found it to be boring, despite the obvious effort that went into the game. Just things here and there were off. It didn't get the details right. Rating: 6 out of 10. FROGGER HELMET CHAOS Genre: Adventure, Strategy, Minigames What's it about?

You're a frog. Frog your way through various worlds and collect coins. Not as good as the original frogger. You can't just pick it up and play. The controls aren't as I'd like (e.g. you have to constantly push the d-pad to move) and you just meander around. Rating: 5.5 out of 10. CRASH OF THE TITANS Genre: Adventure What's it about? You're an orange dog or something and you have to punch and kick shit. Rating: 7 out of 10. GEOMETRY WARS: GALAXIES Genre: Shooter What's it about? Control geometric shapes and shoot other geometric shapes. A mindless space shooter for the most part. Rating: 6 out of 10. NANOSTRAY Genre: Shooter What's it about? A space shooter. Control and space ship and shoot the baddies. New graphics, but plays like an old school game. Quite enjoyable. Rating: 7 out of 10. NANOSTRAY 2 Genre: Shooter What's it about? Once again... A space shooter. Control and space ship and shoot the baddies. This sequel is much different to the first. The main thing being the view point is changed. Rather than heading straight for your attackers, you see a side view. Rating: 7 out of 10. ALIENS: INFESTATION Genre: Action What's it about?

You're in space. Aliens, other shit are trying to kill you. Shoot them. Rating: 7 out of 10. SPIDERMAN: WEB OF SHADOWS Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? You're Spiderman. Venom's sticky black stuff has made everyone into mad insect-like zombies. Stop them! Rating: 7 out of 10. The Amazing Spiderman Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? Based on the move, but it plays like its predecessor "Web of Shadows." Although there are some changes/improvements in the mechanics of Spiderman this version is not as good. It lacks the charm of the venom story, I suppose. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. Ultimate Spiderman Genre: Action, Adventure What's it about? You're Spiderman. As a teenager. This is probably the best of the series. Rating: 7.5 out of 10. DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID: ARIEL'S UNDERSEA ADVENTURE Genre: Children, Minigames What's it about? You're a slutty, little mermaid, and you have to do pointless tasks like fixing a slide under water, collecting seashells, and catching a tune. I guess it's not for someone my age, but I will have to judge it per enjoyment. Rating: 6 out of 10. DON KING BOXING Genre: Sports

What's it about? Boxing. With your stylus. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. SHOWTIME BOXING Genre: Sports What's it about? Boxing. Showtime style. Which means slow and boring. Though I thought the controls were good. Rating: 5 out of 10.

GHOSTBUSTERS: THE VIDEO GAME Genre: Adventure What's it about? Be a ghostbuster! Drive the car, be the characters, etc. Good fun, if you're a fan. Rating: 7 out of 10. GOOSEBUMPS Genre: Minigames What's it about? A Carnival of Screams. Collect coins and play horror themed mini games. Spooky but not really scare. Rating: 6 out of 10. The Wizard of OZ: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road Genre: Adventure, RPG What's it about? You're Dorothy. Get through the Land of Oz and fight blobs and stuff like that. Rating: 7 out of 10. TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: ARCADE ATTAC Genre: Action, Beat 'Em Up What's it about? You're a ninja turtle. Kick some ass. Despite being a fan, not that fun.

Rating: 6 out of 10.

CRIME SCENE Genre: Simulation What's it about? Investigate crime scenes. Interesting only if you're interested in this sort of thing. It really is like investigating a crime scene! And that makes it boring, I guess. Rating: 6.5 out of 10. SIM CITY: CREATOR Genre: Simulation What's it about? Build a city. Make it successful. I think the concept is good, but it simply does not work well enough on a console such as the Nintendo DS. However, the idea about building through time is quite interesting. Rating: 6.5 out of 10.
