Teaching-Learning Set Induction (5 minutes)

Questions: Pupils are asked 1) Who likes to eat icequestions by the teacher. kacang? 2) How does it taste? 3) When do you like to eat ice-kacang? 4) Where can you buy icekacang? Activity 1 Pre-Listening (10 minutes) Pupils are shown pictures series of icekacang procedures. Teacher and pupils discuss the ingredients of the ice-kacang. Teacher asked WH questions based on every picture. WH questions: a) What can you see in the pictures? b) What can we put on the top of the mixture? c) When do we put syrup and evaporated milk? d) What can you do after you put syrup and evaporated milk? Pictures series of icekacang.

To prepare pupils for listening text.

Activity 2 While-Listening (10 minutes) Teacher tells the procedures to the whole class using the pictures and asks pupils to listen carefully. Teacher distributes the worksheets and explains how to do the task. Teacher tells the procedures at least twice and pupils number the pictures in sequence with the right procedures given. Teacher goes over the answers. Appendix 1 Match the pictures with the procedures. To ensure pupils listen attentively to the procedures.

Activity 3 Post-Listening (10 minutes) Pupils are given the worksheets and teacher explains the task. Teacher reads through the statements and pupils do the task. Teacher goes over the answers and gives feedback. Appendix 2: True / False statements. 1) The ingredients for making ice-kacang are corn, jelly, milk and margarine. 2) The first step to make ice kacang is place red beans, jelly and creamed corn in a bowl. 3) The taste of ice-kacang is bitter. 4) The ice cube needs to shave using shaving machine. To gauge listening comprehension.

Activity 4 Preparation for speaking (10 minutes) Teacher puts up pictures of procedures of making the ice-kacang on the board. Using the pictures teacher shows how to explain the procedures. Teacher puts up keywords for each picture to help pupils describe the procedures. Pupils get into group of 4 and teacher asks pupils to read the procedures after the teacher. Pictures series. Word cues 1. place-red beans-jellycreamed corn-bowl. 2. ice shavings-on top of the mixture. 3. syrup-evaporated milk. 4. ice kacang readyeaten. Preparation for speaking.

Activity 5 Speaking Practice and Production (10 minutes) Teacher distributes each group one picture of picture series and gives instructions how to do the task. Pictures series Word cues Speaking practice and production.

Pupils discuss the procedure using the picture given. Each group will present the procedure to the whole class in sequence. Teacher gives feedback and correcting the task together with the pupils.

Closure (5 minutes) Pupils are asked to recall the procedures of making ice-kacang as teacher shows the pictures Pictures series. To practice listening and speaking.
