1. Environmental Product Award


This award is given out to a specific product that has been developed to actively move forward the field of environmental consideration within the kitchen or bathroom sectors. While innovation is important, it it has to be practical and functional in a domestic setting. Commercial viability is as important as technical achievement. How to enter You need to write up to 500 words explaining your product, its environmental features and benefits. You must include digital photos that show the product and, if possible, illustrate its environmental credentials.

5. Young Kitchen Designer of the Year - Age under 30


This category rewards designers under the age of 30 for showing their existing skills and future promise, not only in aesthetic results, but also their potential in managing budgets, solving problems and meeting and exceeding the clients brief. With young designers, judges want to know that clients are getting value for money and great kitchens despite their young age - however, they also want to see flair and potential with innovations and unique solutions that demonstrate the entrant is one to watch. To qualify for this category you must be aged under 30 on 01/11/13 How to enter You will need to write up to 500 words explaining your design. You must include digital photos and plans. 2. Product Innovation Award


This award is given out to a specific product that has been developed to actively move forward the field of product innovation within the kitchen or bathroom sectors, while product innovation is important it it has to be practical and functional in a domestic setting. This is as important as technical achievement. How to enter You need to write up to 500 words, explaining your product, its innovative benefits and commercial use. You must include digital photos that show the product and if possible, illustrate its innovative credentials.

3. Kitchen Supplier of the Year


This Award recognizes overall excellence in supply and distribution. Voted for by retailers based on their experience of which supplier/distributor is the most effective in terms of products, service and overall service. How to Enter Retailers simply email us your nomination, outlining points to justify your choice.

6. Young Bathroom Designer of the Year - Age under 30

7. Bespoke Kitchen Project


This category should prove attractive to many of the small independent kitchen retailers throughout Ireland, who not only design the kitchen but also manufacture and manage the project. 9. Bathroom Designer of the Year Project up to 15K


This category rewards the skill of the bathroom designer in achieving not just aesthetic and practical results but also their use of budget, problem solving and meeting the clients brief. This award is specifically for projects with an overall budget of up to 15K. Judges are looking for the way designers have managed to achieve flair and individuality while keeping within reasonable budgets, a genuine skill essential for the success of the frontline bathroom retailer. Where have they spent the money wisely to exceed expectations? The cost, is the cost to the client in total, including all fixtures, fittings, tiles etc. How to enter You will need to write up to 500 words explaining your design. You must include digital photos and plans. Use the questions below to guide you.

8. Kitchen Designer of the Year Project up to 30K

This category rewards the skill of the Kitchen designer in achieving not just aesthetic and practical results but also their use of budget, problem solving and meeting the clients brief. This award is specifically for projects with an overall budget over 30K. While cost is no object in this category, judges will be keenly looking at value for money and whether the designer has successfully met the all important brief while still managing to exceed expectations. Has the designer used the money to create something unique or simply spent it on expensive products? The cost, is the cost to the client in total, including all appliances. How to enter You will need to write up to 500 words explaining your design. You must include digital photos and plans. 12. Kitchen Showroom of the Year


The showroom is the face of your business; it needs to give an instant impression when the customer walks through the door and then keep them interested when theyre inside. This award honours the best in kitchen showroom layout and design. The judges are not looking for the biggest showroom, or the showroom thats had the most money spent on it. Theyre looking for how youve managed the space and resources available and how youve managed to make your business stand out to your target customers. How to enter You need to write up to 500 words and submit digital photography and layout plan. 11. Bathroom Designer of the Year Project over 15K


This category rewards the skill of the bathroom designer in achieving not just aesthetic and practical results but also their use of budget, problem solving and meeting the clients brief. This award is specifically for projects with an overall budget over 15K. Judges are looking for the way designers have managed to achieve flair and individuality while keeping within reasonable budgets, a genuine skill essential for the success of the frontline bathroom retailer. Where have they spent the money wisely to exceed expectations? The cost, is the cost to the client in total, including all fixtures, fittings, tiles etc. How to enter You will need to write up to 500 words explaining your design. 13. Bathroom Showroom of the Year

The Bathroom Master Retailer Award is the prize that judges the whole of your business, putting you forward as an accolite in the industry. The award has nothing to do with the size of your business, it has everything to do with overall professional performance. How to enter You will need to write up to 1000 words to support your application. You must include digital photos; layout plans would be helpful. Use the questions below to guide you. 1 Explain to the judges the background of your company and give a brief history of your business success to date. 2 How do you market your business? 3 Show why your business is successful ie growth, profits, turnover?

14. Kitchen Master Retailer


The Kitchen Master Retailer Award is the prize that judges the whole of your business, putting you forward as an accolite in the industry. The award has nothing to do with the size of your business, it has everything to do with overall professional performance. How to enter You will need to write up to 1000 words to support your application. You must include digital photos; layout plans would be helpful. 16. Lifetime Achievement Award


This award is given to an individual who has shown persistent and continuous innovation in design and product and made an overall contribution to either the Irish Kitchen or Bathroom industry or both, while maintaining a level of excellence throughout their career. Nomination is by their body of peers. Put forward names for consideration and your reasons for nomination.

STEP TWO: Get your pictures together Every entry will need pictures to support them, whatever categories you are entering. Pictures should be jpegs with a minimum 300 dpi at 10 cm x 10 cm (if in doubt, send us the biggest size you have). STEP THREE: Write your text You are allowed up to 500 words of text max. to support your entry, except in the two Master Retailer categories where it is a thousand. STEP FOUR: Send it to us: Send your completed entry applications by email or post with any relevant images/plans. Disc only, no hard copy. The Rules
Design Categories While one person or company can enter as many categories as they like, they must enter a separate submission for each one. The same entry cannot be submitted twice. Entries for category nos. 5 to 11 must be for a domestic project completed and installed in the 12 months from 31/08/12 to 1/9/13. Designs completed for showroom roomsets are not valid in these categories. They are dealt with separately in categories nos. 12 and 13. Stated budgets for designs in category nos. 8 to 11 must be for the completion of the entire project including installation and any additional products. In other words, the final total bill paid by the client. (VAT, must be excluded) K refers to either Euro or Sterling. Category nos. 1 and 2. Environmental Product and Product Innovation award. Both awards pertain to the period 31/08/12 to 1/9/13.

How to enter STEP ONE: Choose your categories. You can enter as many as you like, but can only enter each category once. Entries submitted to one category, cannot be submitted to another. Multiple retailers can only enter category nos. 5 to 15 once.
