Khutbah Jumuah 1 All praises and salutations of my Lord are upon you, Messenger of Allah and upon your

Family and Companions, and those who are guided by the light of Islam until the Day of Judgment.

My respected and honoured brothers in Islam, As I recited in the beginning of khutbah, Allah explained in the Quran, in Q.S Ali Imran: 110, about the nature of Ummah of Muhammad. You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind, you enjoin Al-Ma`ruf and forbid Al-Munkar and believe in Allah Allah states that the Ummah of Muhammad is the best nation ever. Once again, Allah states that the Ummah of Muhammad is the best nation ever. Lets take a look Ibnu Katshirs tafseer on this ayah. Al-Bukhari recorded that Abu Hurayrah commented on this Ayah, "(You, Muslims, are) the best nation of people for the people, you bring them tied in chains on their necks (capture them in war) and they later embrace Islam.'' Similar was said by Ibn `Abbas, Mujahid, `Atiyah Al-`Awfi, `Ikrimah, `Ata' and Ar-Rabi` bin Anas that,

(You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind;) means, the best of All praise be to Allah, who created man, life and the universe. I bear witness that there is none to worshipped save Allah, One, with no partners. He sent His Messenger Muhammad (s) with Islam as a guidance, way of life and the religion of Truth to cause it to prevail over all religions and all ideologies even though the unbelievers may detest it." and I bear witness that our Prophet, Beloved Muhammad (s) is the Messenger of Allah, the best architect of civilization ever and the Mercy to the worlds. peoples for the people.

My respective brothers in Islam, In this ayah Allah tells us that we are, ummah of Muhammad, the best peoples ever. Allah Himself attributes it to Ummah of Muhammad. Not others. Allah, the creator of the universe, places Ummah of Muhammad as the best people among other peoples for the people. Once again, Ibnu Katsir also stated that the meaning of the Ayah is that the Ummah of Muhammad is the most righteous and beneficial nation for mankind. The existence of Ummah of Muhammad is not only for themselves but for whole people in this world, for all humankind. Maybe some of us still have a question why Allah, who is the creator of the universe, appoint Ummah of Muhammad as the best people, and why their existence is so invaluable for the others. The other question, Is it still relevant with the Ummah of Muhammad today? Does this honorable attribute is suit for us? Is the attribute only for our ancestor? For Sahaby, tabiin, tabiut tabiin? My brothers in Islam, of course this ayah is not only for them but also for all Muslim generation, as long as once again as long as they fulfill the criterions or requirements as the best Ummah.. Allah swt gives more explanation about the criterion, in the remaining of the ayah. It is important for us to understand and pay attention.

What does Al-Ma'roof mean? And what is Al-Munkar? The definition of Al-Ma'roof and Al-Munkar is not based on the customs and traditions of people, rather it is based on Islam revealed by Allah and that defined the Halal and Haram and the rest of rules. So, if Islam considers something good, then it is Ma'roof and commendable, and if Islam considers something bad, then it is Munkar and must be rejected. Al-Ma'roof is a noun that includes everything that is looked upon as good by Islam, obeying Allah in everything. Al-Munkar is a noun that includes everything that is looked upon as bad by Islam like disobeying Allah. In other word, Al-Maruf means everything which is from Islam, and AlMunkar is everything that is contrast to Islam. We become the best Ummah as long as we adopt and implement the whole Islam in our life, enjoin to and call people for Islam and forbid the people from the evil. It is the criterion of the best Ummah. We adopt and implement the whole Islam in our life, call people for Islam and forbid them from the evil, everything that contrary to Islam. The key point is Islam. We implement it. We spread and enjoin the people to it and we forbid everything that is contrary to it. It is also the key words for The Islamic Revival Discourse. If we talk about Islam Revival, we should be able to imagine in our mind How Islam works in the body of Ummah and how they actively enjoin the people to Islam and forbid them to everything that is contrary to Islam.

(you enjoin Al-Ma`ruf and forbid Al-Munkar and believe in Allah) [3:110]. It is the key answer: Ummah of Muhammad become the best people for people if we enjoin the people to Al-Ma'roof and forbid them from Al-Munkar. The two great words that should be understood by us : Al-Ma'roof and AlMunkar.

Just keep in mind brother, the position of Islam, what Muhammad saw brought for mankind can be understood in the following ayat:

creed, our aqeedah. We, all moslem world, are not living in the Islamic civilization anymore, but we live in other civilization. We dont live with our way of life. We adopt and implement the west ideology. They actively and progressively call all people in the world, include moslem world, to live with their way of live. Brothers, we dont enjoin the people enjoin Al-Ma`ruf and forbid Al-Munkar but we are called for, we are commanded, we are ordered, we are enjoined by the Capitalist Power to embrace and implement their ideology. We become a market of their way of life. They actively promote democracy, pluralism, human rights, free market and other seculer ideas. We are the consumers of their value and sometime some of us assume that their ideas are suitable with Islam. And sometimes some of us become a combatant of their ideology and proud of it. In short, it is contrast to our nature position. We dont enjoin Al -Ma`ruf and forbid Al-Munkar as commanded by Allah, but we are enjoined their concepts and we are also forbidden doing something contrast to their ideology. It is our condition today brother. Many muslims are not aware about it. I hope that we are not a part of them who are not aware and dont care about it. My brothers in Islam, Today, it seems that we have no power to call people in the world to live with our way of life, to live with Islam life. Why? Because Islam life is not in the Ummah body any more, but Islam life is only in the kitaab, the books written by Ulama. It is in the Ulamas book brother, but tragically many of us don't know about it. If we know it, that Islam life is in the books, many of us have no time to learn it. My respective brothers in Islam, Why do I remind you this matter? I think we are responsible to bring back Islam life. To bring it back to this civilization. It is our own duty to create an Islam civilization.

And We have sent you not but as a mercy for the `Alamin [Q.S Al-Anbiya : 107] Islam is as the mercy for the whole world. And, Muhammad saw was sent for the whole people.

And We have not sent you except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind [Q.S Saba: 28] Brothers in Islam, We have known much about what I have explained. I also believe that all of you agree about it. We understand that Islam is the most important thing for the people. Islam will give the best life for people. My respective brothers in Islam, Now, I want to share you our sad reality today, the facts of Ummah of Muhammad, that we should pay attention to it. I think that we have known it but sometime we dont realize it. If we are not aware about this, we dont do anything for Islamic Revival. Our sad reality today is that we dont adopt the whole Islam in our life. Although we still implement Islam in our personal life, like sholat, shaum, hajj, but in fact we dont implement Islam in many aspects in our social and state life. We dont see the application of Islam systems in Ummahs body, like Islam political system, Islam economic system, Islam social system, Islam industrial system and other Islam life systems that are generated from our

How? The first step is we learn seriously a comprehensive Islam. We learn it until we can understand how beauty Islam is. It is not enough to understand about sholat, shaum, hajj and personal obligationor nafillah. We need learn other concept of Islam: Islam political system, Islam economic system, Islam monetary system, Islam social system, Islam education system, Uqubat, Industrial system, Environment and others. Minimally, we know general concept about it and can appreciate it as the great concepts. The second step is we struggle to implement it in this life and promote Islam in dawa. Promote the beauty of Islam civilization. It is our duty and May Allah bless on us and help us to bring back Islam life.

The system has its own method that provides the means for its implementation, thereby transferring it from 'theory' to 'practice'. It is an integral part of the ideology and distinguishes it from a philosophy, which provides hypothetical ideas but no practical means of implementing them. Thus, Islam consists of a creed, and system. My respective brothers in Islam, In the last khutbah, I would like to invite you to love Islam. We should have a routine agenda to learn a comprehensive Islam, not only Islam in aspect of relationship between us to our Creator like Ibadah mahdhoh, sholah, shaum, hajj etc, and not only Islam in personal affairs like about akhlaq, eat and drink, clothes, but lets understand Islam as a uniqe civilization and ideology like Islam political system, Islam economic system, Islam social system, Islam industrial policy, Environment etc, Lets learn Islam until we have the image of the beauty of Islam life in our mind, until we can feel that Islam system concepts can give a mercy to the world, until we can promote to the people that comprehesive Islam give a happiness in personal life and give prosperity to the whole people. And finally lets pray to Allah. May Allah guide us for better life, dunya wal akherat.

Khutbah 2 The word 'Islam', in Arabic, means submission and peace. As a term, 'Islam' refers to the Message which was revealed to Muhammad (peace be upon him) by Allah, the One Creator, and a 'Muslim' is the one who believes in Islam. In sharp contrast to Christianity, Judaism, and other religions, Islam is not merely a religion. Rather, Islam is a unique and comprehensive ideology that guides the life of the human being. Like any other ideology, Islam consists of a creed or doctrine, and a system of rules and regulations. Unlike other ideologies, however, it is not man-made. The creed of Islam (Aqeedah) provides the correct and comprehensive answer to the fundamental question regarding the existence of man and universe. It addresses the issue of the human being's purpose in life and integrates it into the grand scheme of existence, i.e. what came before this life and what will come after it. Thus, the Islamic creed settles the core problem in every person's life, that of the nature of our existence, and serves as the guiding principle for humanity to conduct its affairs by. The Islamic system provides a comprehensive law governing the affairs of the human beings.
