Race HQ

Signing on opens at 8.45am. Riders must sign and collect their numbers no later than 20 minutes prior to the race start. Reserves should also sign on but cannot collect their numbers until they are assured of a ride. The chief commissaire will brief all riders at 9.50 outside the HQ, after which the race will be started. Please ensure your number is visible, otherwise you may not ne placed Juniors - Gears will be restricted. One complete revolution of the crank propels the cycle a maximum of 7.93 meters. 52 x 14 will normally meet this requirement. Please ensure you are checked before you sign on. NO LICENSE NO HELMET NO RIDE Licenses must be handed in at signing on for race number issued, returned when number handed back Please notify the race organiser if you are not going to ride Any complaints regarding these events must be made in writing to the organiser within 48 hours of the finish

Course Details

Please do not park on the circuit.


New course, please respect other road users and local residents. Start from outside the Sprotbrough Country club/HQ first left short lane, left towards and through High Melton, left towards Mexbrough, down Melton Mill Lane. Bottom of hill on bend turn left to Cadeby, up Pastures Lane follow road back to Sprotbrough, past HQ to repeat the circuit The Race will be 10 Laps of a 6 mile circuit. Laps to go will be indicated on the lap board. Please obey the Commisaire and Marshalls. Do not litter the course with gel wrappers, put them back in your pockets. Ride safe and have a good race. Many thanks to the Copley Junior School for use of their facilities for the HQ, the residents of Sprotbrough, Cadeby and High Melton, the race officials, marshals and helpers and all the riders for entering. Please note that this event is being run in conjunction with the Sprotbrough Scouts Gala and road running race which is taking part on the New Lane Playing fields opposite the H.Q. from 1pm.There will be brass bands ,stalls and much more so bring the family for a fun day out .for more information look here ;
