A unique gallery featuring the works of an exquisite blend of Canadian and International artists.

Journey through the intimately designed display areas and truly experience the art through its creators eyes. Located in the heart of Old Toronto, the Gallery offers nearly 1,700 square feet of unique event space for entertainment, cocktail parties and corporate functions. Often referred to as a living room gallery, divided into intimate spaces featuring exquisite Canadian and International fine art on white and exposed brick walls, the Gallery is decorated with large steel columns supporting a pipelined urban style white ceiling and is open to the street level through four large windows. It has a spacious, open studio layout. The reception area is comfortably furnished with a sitting corner and bar. The Gallery presents as an inviting, home-like atmosphere that is all about art and you. Bezpala Brown Gallery has held a number of unique entertainment events, including an opera recital, foreign movies and documentary premieres, academic lectures, association meetings and other private and corporate receptions. Our location at 17 Church Street is just one block west from the famous St. Lawrence Market. BBG has hosted a number of music events featuring such outstanding performers as Moshe Hammer, Metis Fiddler Quartet, musicians from the Russian far north, and Nadin Guertin. A core group of acclaimed modern artists form the nucleus of the Gallerys permanent collection.

The venue has not only hosted numerous highly evaluated exhibitions, but also welcomed music performances, cinema screenings, workshops, corporate functions and cocktail parties. You are welcome to use another caterer during the event, in that case there will be a15 % surcharge on catering. Deposits and Terms of payment: A deposit of 50 % of the basic rental rate is required upon the conformation of an event (upon the signing of a contract). Final billing is to be completed on the day of event. The Gallery currently accepts cash, Visa, Master Card or cheque. A damage deposit is required to book the space and will be returned to the renter within 3 days after the events completion. The space must be left in the same condition as the beginning of the rental. Late payments would be subject to interest of 2 % per week on the outstanding balance. Cancellations: All cancellations will result in the loss of the deposit. Parking: Bezpala Brown Gallery does not have its own parking lot, yet there is parking along Church street and all day parking (9 $ per day) on Church and Esplanade intersection.

Free set-up time - 1 hour (30 minutes before the event, 30 minutes after the event). All the prices are indicated without HST. Any other supplies may be arranged for rental. Capacity: Approximately 120 people (standing) Approximately 60 people (sitting) IMPORTANT: Please, note that the Bezpala Brown Gallery is not a certified venue and requires a Special Occasion Permit (S.O.P). Be advised that a Special Occasion Permit (S.O.P.) can be submitted in person at a participating LCBO store. Application forms are available to download on the AGCO website (http://www.agco.on.ca/).

Alcohol: All alcohol will only be served in accordance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). If the Bezpala Brown Gallery is not in the charge of the bar, we advise that the person running the event obtain the S.O.P. Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside the Gallery. Please be advised that art works cannot come down for the time of an event. The Gallery would be happy to organise your event. Yet additional charges would be added to the rental fee for the service. Insurance: Bezpala Brown Gallery is insured as building with Intact insurance.
