CHAPTER II

METHOD

This chapter presents the method to be utilized by the researcher in data gathering. Descriptions on the research setting, the participants, measures, and procedures used are also included. Design The design to be used is a descriptive correlational method as it describes the relationship of the factors: family matters, personal life and teaching behaviours of clinical instructors to the students behaviour in clinical area namely, social behaviours, decision Making, competent behaviour, leadership behaviours. Setting The study will be conducted at Notre Dame University, Cotabato City which is a catholic school, run by the OMI. It has six colleges namely, College of Health Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Education, College of Arts and Sciences and College of Computer Studies. Participants The respondents of the study will be the third year nursing students of Notre Dame University, Cotabato City School year 2012 2013. The researcher will be

gathering 10 participants in every section. The participants are purposively chosen from the population. Measures To facilitate the data gathering, the researcher made use of a questionnaire as the basic instruments. The questionnaire was composed of three parts. The first part included the profile of the respondents in terms of name, age, sex, and course and year level. The second part composed of three factors these include family matters, personal life and teaching behaviours of clinical instructors. The third part is composed of students clinical behaviours. The second and third part was answered by encircling the participants choice according to the question posed. Listed as 1- strongly disagree, 2disagree, 3- agree, 4- strongly agree.

The researcher wrote a letter to the respected dean of College of Health Sciences of Notre Dame University requesting for the approval to conduct the study. After the request has been granted, the researcher distributed the questionnaires to the identified respondents and retrieved after it was accomplished.
