It is also known as Hermaphrodites, the term is originated in Greek Mythology, where the deity of beauty, Aphrodite and messenger god Hermes has an offspring who possessed both male and female reproductive organ. It involves chromosomal, morphologic, genital and, or gondolaanomalies, such as diversion from typical XX-female or XY-male presentations--sex reversal (XY-female, XX-male), genital ambiguity, or sex developmental differences. It happens in both humans and animals. Some people having this case do not considered themselves as exclusively male or exclusively female. Androgyny is the term that is sometimes used to refer to those without physical sexual characteristics or sexual orientation. A big controversy popped-out when African runner Caster Simonyi was found-out to be a woman and a manHermaphrodite runner. The International Associations Athletics Federations (IAAF) ordered a gender test after her controversial victory in 800-meter in the World Championships have not yet released publicly but sources with knowledge of the test had reportedly leaked the results early. Her deep voiced and masculine appearance has raised questions about her gender. Is she really a man or a woman? Or it is a case of ambiguous genitalia? And turned out the result the she has no womb and ovary and have a high level of testosterone which is a male hormone. A similar case has happened in the Philippines many years ago. A female athlete emerged from out of nowhere and beat everyone in track and field. Her name was Nancy Navalta. She looked masculine, sounded masculine, and her strength in sports was unbelievable. After tests were conducted, it was revealed that Nancy Navalta was genetically a male. In fact, she is a hermaphrodite but was raised by her parents as a girl. Questions about

Navalta's gender, however, cut short her athletic career as she already declined participating in track and field competitions to stop the insinuations about her gender.
