The abl-8 Abel Closed Cup Flash Point Tester automates flash point tests according to ISO 13736 ISO 1516/1523 and IP 170. This Flash Point Tester offers to the operator a maximum of ergonomic comfort and workplace safety. Description
The abl-8a and abl-8l are result of Tanaka's 45 years of experience in manufacturing automated Flash Point Testers. Thanks a an improved Swing Arm assembly and a large color display it offers a maximum operating convenience. Ergonomic After inserting the test cup in the instrument, the operator just needs to lower the swing arm assembly onto the test cup to set all the necessary components for the test, including the ignition source, temperature sensor and flash detector. After the test, the arm can be tilt into an upright position for easy cleaning - no need to touch hot cup covers. Easy operation Select a test mode and enter the expected flash point. The instrument automatically executes the test following the exact procedures according to the test method, the operator is free to concentrate on other tasks. The completion of the test cycle is signaled by beeps and the test result is displayed on the large color display. 0.4 Hassle-free switch from gas to electric The abl-8a is equipped with both a gas and an electric igniter as ignition source. It only takes a few minutes to switch from gas to electric or vice versa. Flexible data handling The abl-8 can store up to 200 test results. These results can be printed out and/or stored on an USB memory stick. For easy input of sample names an USB keyboard can be connected to the instrument. Test methods can be stored on and imported from an USB memory stick. Compact and energy efficient The abl-8a and abl-8l are equipped with a solid state thermostat (Peltier) for sample cooling and heating. For the liquid cooled model abl-8l just a small water chiller is sufficient to cool the sample down to -20C - no methanol required.
