Rewrite the sentences into reported speech, remember we use different introductory verbs and do different changes depending whether the sentences are statements, commands, suggestions or questions:

1. “I love ice-cream”, my daughter said. 2. “I will help you with your exam preparation”, my father said. 3. “Don’t be late”, my mother said. 4. “Why don’t we make an advert for our school?”, Peter said. 5. “I’ve been to Paris twice”, Mary said 6. “Let’s have a break!”, John said. 7. “Do you want a cup of coffee?”, my grandmother offered. 8. “When will the concert begin?”, Peter asked Mary.

9. “We could go for a swim”, my sister said. 10. “I finished my project on Saturday”, my boss replied. 11. “What did you do in New York?”, her friends asked. 12. “Keep quiet while I am watching the news”, my dad told the kids. 13. “We are thinking about our next holidays”, they said. 14. “Don’t use your mobile phones in class”, Mrs. Jones said 15. “I talked to Jimmy on Tuesday”, Jane said. 16. “Why don’t we ask Lydia to help?, she said. 17. “Stop shouting, John”, he told him. 18. “Have you done your homework?”, she asked him. 19. “Are you really happy?”, she asked. 20. “Many people are studying these days”, she insisted.
