INTRODUCTION ABOUT THE STUDY


This study is helpful in know the interest of youngsters towards social activities. I hope that you will answer all of the questions honestly and thoughtfully. The study is completely voluntary. If you do not want to fill out the survey or any of the questions, you do not have to. No one else will know your decision. This is not a test, so there is no right or wrong answers. We would like you to work fairly quickly, so that you can finish. Please work quietly and by yourself. This study is about the relevance of nss in colleges. Most of them are not interested in this study. so I have to find the interested ones for the study.

Problems

SCOPE

This study is helpful to know about the present situation of youngsters towards society. All the studies are just to know the all over view but it clears out the attitude of youngsters so it has a wide scope.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

Sources of data collection


Primary sources are used for data collections

Primary Data
It means data collected directly from the field. Mainly the field is college campus.

Questionnaire
A well defined questionnaire that is used effectively can gather information on both overall performance of the test system as well as information on specific components of the system. A defeated questionnaire was carefully prepared and specially numbered. The questions were arranged in proper order, in accordance with the relevance.

Sampling method
For this survey stratified sampling method is used to collect information from the college sudents.

Sampling unit
The sampling was elected from the area of cusat campus.

Stratified sampling
If the field of enquiry is not homogenous and contains variety of items, this type of sampling is adopted. In this method we first divide the population in to different sub population known as strata, such that item in each stratum are homogenous. From each stratum, items are selected by simple random method.

Sample size
The sample size of the study is 50 correspondents.

Sample design
The sample design needed in study is convenience sampling

Data analysis
The data are collected through the use of sample, data was grouped under their respective categories and then converted into percentages. The converted data were plotted into graphs and pie diagrams ASSEMPTION I assume that NSS is relevant in colleges

Inference: Today youngsters interest towards sports and games decreases day by day

Inference: Most of the youngsters are spend most of the time in class. But the knowledge about fellow beings also important in education.

CONCLUSION
Now days the interest of youngsters towards social activities declined because of the new life style .Most of them are internally ready to helping the people and try the people around them. But there is no initiative from any side of the colleges. Nss is focused on the personality development of youth through social service. so nss is relevant in colleges
