I. 설명
AP는 매년 5월 시행되는 AP 시험을 치르는 학생들을 준비시키기 위해 고안되었다. 몇몇 대학
들은 이 시험을 통과한 학생들에게 5학점 수료증을 부여한다. 따라서 다른 (교육)시설들은 도의
상 placement이나 다른 advanced 프로그램을 위해 이 학점을 사용한다.

II. 과정의 목적:

AP U.S. 정부와 정책 과정은 U.S 국가 정책 시스템을 전망하기 위해 고안되었다. 우리

의 헌법에 준거한 시스템의 철학 기초 시험은 역사적 발전과 현재 트랜드와 결부된다.
그 주의 간단한 시험과 어떻게 그들의 관리가 국가적 관리와는 다른가 하는 것뿐 아니라
연방정부 시스템 내에서 그들이 어떤 기능을 하고 있는지를 가지고 국가적 수준에 중요
한 초점을 놓는다.
최신 사건은 공공정책을 생산하는 과정, 위치, 사람들을 강조하는데 사용되고 있다. 이
과정은 대학 1학년생 수준의 정치학부 과정과 유사하게 이끌어진다.

구체적인 학습목표 :

• 미국정부의 기초토대;
• 연방주의제도와 3 권분립
• 시민자유와 공민권
• 정치신념과 정치의 움직임
• 정당파와 이익집단
• 국정의 학의와 정책과정
• 메디아의 역할
• Evaluate viewpoints presented through major print and electronic
media
• Understand statistical data and analyze trends related to significant
political events

III. 체제 와 절차 :  

과제 :
• 수업시간당 평균 2 시간의 AP 관리를 위한 과제 (독해 수준과 스케줄에 의존)
• 매 주 평균 50~70 페이지 독해
• Approximately one chapter will be covered per week
• 대략 2~4 기초 문서와 학문 에세이가 독해로서 정해질 것이다.
• 학생들은 최신 사건과 주제들에 뒤쳐지지 않도록 신문과 적절한 정기 간행문
을 읽게 될 것이다. 

시험 과 퀴즈 :

• 학기 동안 대략 4~6 개의 퀴즈와 2~4 개의 시험이 다항 선택식과 에세이 형식

으로 구성되어 시행될 것이다.

Multiple­choice:
All of the following are valid explanations for waste in government EXCEPT
a.   Wasteful habits of agencies are seldom caught because agencies have little supervision by 
Congress or the executive office.

Essay:

In designing the federal system that was intended to replace the confederal structure established 
during and after the Revolutionary War, the Framers of the Constitution embraced the concept of 
separation of powers as one of their guides to the construction of a practical government.  

Given the above, discuss and analyze the fundamental principles of political thought that are 
elemental to the American doctrine of separation of powers.  In your analysis, determine whether 
or not these principles are compatible with democratic ideals.  Use specific examples in your 
response.

VI. Academic Integrity

You are encouraged to study together and to discuss information and concepts covered in lecture 
and the sections with other students. You can give "consulting" help to or receive "consulting" 
help from such students. 
However, this permissible cooperation should never involve one student having possession of a 
copy of all or part of work done by someone else, in the form of an e mail, an e mail attachment 
file, a diskette, or a hard copy. 

Should copying occur, both the student who copied work from another student and the student 
who gave material to be copied will both automatically receive a zero for the assignment. Penalty 
for violation of this can also be extended to include failure of the course and disciplinary action. 

During examinations, you must do your own work. Talking or discussion is not permitted during 
the examinations, nor may you compare papers, copy from others, or collaborate in any way. Any 
collaborative behavior during the examinations will result in failure of the exam, and may lead to 
failure of the course and disciplinary action.
