French class which is downstairs on the lower level of Columbine High School. Eric Long said he was in this French class from
approximately 0925 until 1015 hours on 04-20-99 Eric Long said that when he get out of his French's class at 1015, he went
upstairs to the second level ofColumbine High Scheel, and into to his Choir class, which he said began at approximately Wia
hours, Eric Long said that he remained in this Choir class until approximately 1110 when the class let out. Eric Long said after
he got out of Choir. he walked from the upper level of Columbine High School, down the stairway into the cafeteria/commons
area of the high school. Eric Long said that when he reached the bottom of the stairway, he exited Columbine High School by
walking past the "Rebel Comer" store and south; out the two doors that lead outside. Due to fact that Eric's Long lives very close
to Columbine High School, he walked from the school to his residenceat 6611 West Arbor Drive to eat lunch Eric LOfJg advised
that he got home for lunch at approximately 1 t 15.and said while he was at his residence. he heard approximately six pops that
he described as sounding like fireworks. however. Eric was unable to tell where this sound came from, The only location Eric
Long could give was that the sounds came from the vicinity of Colurnbine High School.

Eric Long said while he was at his residence, a friend of his by the name of Steve Deaden jumped his hack fence and told him
that there had been a shooting at Columbine High School. Eric Long advised that he went to Leawood Park, which is behind
his residence to the north. to be with some of his friends at that location. Eric Long said that he heard a bullet ricochet by fairly
close to him, however. he did not see what the shot ricocheted off of Eric Long said he ron back to his residence and said that
there were several other students that ran to his residenceas well. Eric Long said after he returned to his residence. he left again
and went [0 hIS neighbor's house where he got on the roof to watch the high school to see what was occurring at that location.
Eric Long said that while he was on the roof, he heard two shotgun blasts coming from the vicinity of Columbine High School
I asked Eric Long if while he was on the roof or any other lime he saw anybody with bombs and/or firearms, either outside of
Columbine High School or ifhe saw any of them through the glass windows or the glass windows in the doors. Eric Long said
that he did not see any of the shooters at any time during this incident.

1asked Eric Long ifhe saw the blue duffle bag and/or the propane tank that was later recovered from the cafeteria at Columbine
High School. Eric Long said that he did not see these items nor did he see anyone carrying items of a similar description within
Columbine High School on 04-20-99. Eric Long also advised me that he does not know ofany other people, nor has he heard
any rumors of anyone who may be manufacturing explosive devices and/or possessing or selling firearms

I asked Eric Long what he knew about the Trench Coat Mafia students and in particular, Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris. Eric
Longadvisedthat he knew very littleabout the Trench Coat Mafia students other than to say "they were weird people," and told
me that the Trench Coal Mafia studentskept to themselves. Eric Long said that he has seen Trench Coat Mafia students hanging
out ar Leawood Park, however, he has not talked to any of them, nor has he carried on any conversations with them. Eric Long
said he has not seen any of the "jocks" harassingany of the Trench Coat Mafia students and also said he has not seen any of the
Trench Coat Mali. students harassing other studentsor other people. Due to the fact that Eric Long is an athlete at Columbine
High School and told me that he plays basketballand football.I asked him ifhe had ever been harassed himself by the Trench
Coat Mafia students and in particular,Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris. Eric Long advised me that he had not been harassed by
any of them.

Eric Long told me that he was friends with Isaiah Shoels prior to this incident and prior to Isaiah's death. Eric Long said that
"'hHe he was at Columbine High School. he could not think of one incident where Isaiah Shoe's was racially intimidated by
anyone in the school. Eric Long said that Isaiah Shoels was a very well liked student and everybody got along well with him.

Priar to my interview of Eric Long. [spoke with his mother Alisa Long who told me that since the incident on 04~20·(}9, Eric
long has been having withdrawal problems as far as wanting to be away from the house, and wants to be out with his mends
on a more frequent basis. Alisa Longbelieves that Eric Long does need counseling.however. she says Eric Long denies there
is any type of a problem with his copying with the incident. After my interview with Eric Long I asked him if he has had any
problems,such as sleeping problemsor eating problems since the incidenton 04-20-99 and he told me that he has not had any
problems. Eric Long told me that he is able to deal with things wen and get over different problems well. After my interview
with Eric Long. I recontacted his mother in reference to these problems and she told me that Eric Long's answers to myquestions
to her "sounded weird." It shouldbe noted that during my interview with Eric Long, both his mother,Alisa Long and his father.

10M Long were present during this interview I gave Alisa Long one of my business cards and asked her to contact me in the

future if Eric Long or anyone else in her family wanted to speakwith a 1.C.50. Victim Advocateand I told her I wouldbe made
the necessary arrangements for them at that time.

at approximately II IDam and met with a friend. Daane Reinking, near the stairs in the commons area. At
approx II lSam, they exited the building using tbe main doors near Rehel Comer Once outside they walked
to Reinking's vehicle which was parked in the Jr parking lot and left school grounds for lunch

According to (W)Losh, he did not noticed anybody or anything suspicious around the school prior to the
shootings He was familiar withthe Harrisand Klebold only by sight and did not see them or their vehicles
He had no idea the shootings had taken place until they tried to returnto school and found the roads blocked
by emergency vehicles

SYNOPSIS:
On 5/24/99, SA ~raver contacted Daniel Lott by phone, to ascertain his whereabouts on
4/20/.99, during so::b. period.
NARRATIVE;
1. Lott stated chat; he left the school right after 4 t h period He parks by Clement park
and had lunch at bome. As he came back to the school at ~round 1200/ some friends ran
up to his car and told him that there had been a shooting, It takes him about 5 minutes
to get home from the school. he llVes in the Leawood subdivision. He stated he came
back right before S;h hour during l~~ch, he got within about 5 minutes walking distance
of the school. He stated he was almost close enough to see the front doors of the
school

On 06-22-99. at about 1400hours, I contacted witn ess RyanMicimel Loveby phone. Ryan Love is a student at Columbine High
School, The reason for me calling Ryan Love was to interview him in reference to the shooting that occurred on 04-20-99, at
Columbine High School.

Ryan Love advised me on 04·20·99 at 0630 hours, h. was picked up from in front of Columbine High School at 620I South
Pierce Street by a Jefferson County R-t School bus and transported to Warren Tech. Ryan Love advised that he remainedat
"Varren Tech until he was bussed back to ColumbineHigh Schoolon 04-20-99, at about 1130hours.

Ryan Love told me that as he was bussed back to the high school, and upon arrival, he saw numerous students running OUt of

Columbine High School. Ryan said that he was told to go to Clement Park, which he did, and said that he called his mother

Eileen, who responded approximately 40 minutes later and picked him up from the library at West Bowles and Long Drive,

Ryan Love advised me that prior to the incident on 04-2ll-99, he did not know any of the Trench Coat Mafia students names

The only information that Ryan could provide me was that he had seen what he believed to be Trench Coat Mafia students In

the hallways at Columbine High School in the past.

Ryan Love advised me that since 04~20-99, he has been doing well dealing with the incident. I gave him my name and phone

number and asked him to contact me ifhe wished to speak with. J,C.S,O. Victim Advocate in the future I told hun I would

-nake the necessary arrangements for him or his family, at that time,

INVESTIGAnON:

On 05-27-99, I spoke with Todd Lovell. This lead was to determine his whereabouts during 5th period. as records reflectedhe

had this period free During my telephone Interview with Todd. he told me he Was at a church meeting, off school grounds at
:,. time of the incident. He had left the school at approximately 11'15after attending his 4th hour class, He said he had left the
scbool through the large doors next to the Rebel store, close to the cafeteria. Todd said he had left alone, I asked Todd when
he \Y3S in the cafeteria area, if he had seen anyone carrying a large duffle bag or had seen a large duffle bag sitting on the floor
in any location, He said he had walked through the area quickly and had ttct noticed anything, Todd then left through the 10<,
proceeding south along Pierce Street to where the residence is located. 1asked him if he had seen anyone in the lot that was
suspicious and he said nothing that he can recall. I then asked him if he had seen anyone in a black trench coat and he said he
did not remember seeing anyone 1asked him if he had known the individuals involved in the incident of04-20~99 He said that
he knew who they were, but had not seen them that day, He said he had known who they were because of their dress and that
other kids had generally made funof thembecause of their appearance at school. He said at approximately 11'30, Ashley Wright
came to the house and told them what had occurred, He said he did not see any of the shooting and was not present during the
event.

DISPOSITION: Closed.

On 05-18-99. Lindsey Ludwig was interviewed at her residence regardlng her observations of 04-20-99.
She confirmed being a Junior at Columbine High School, assigned to "A" lunch. She noted having attended
her 4th hour history class, and immediately thereafter going to the commons area of the cafeteria, arriving
there at approximately 1105, where she met 2 friends, identified as Cora Uniger and Courtney Shakowski.
After approximately 10 minu1es. they exited the south door and walked to the junior parking lot where they
entered her vehicle and drove to the Southwest Plaza Mail, where they had lunch. She reports observing
nothing suspicious in the parking lot as she exited, but noted some activity in the junior lot at approximately
0900, when she had gone into the lot to assist another student with a project. While in the lot, she observed
2 males standing near a white pickup belonging to Hanah Balay. She reports the 2 seemed to be hiding,
ar.-' "hen she looked at them they ducked out of sight. She describes them as white males, one being
tal,. man the other. She could provide no clothing information, and did not see them weil enough to
identify either one. She stated the 2 were in the last rowof the junior lot, near a wooden fence.

Following lunch, they attempted to drive back to school, but were turned back by police and told that a
shooling had occurred at the school. She then called home, and was advised of what was go4ng on at
CHS.

Lisa Lumley explained that her son, Nicholas, wasabsent from schoolon Monday
April 19"', and Tuesday April 20"', Usa explained that they were in Indianaattending her
grandmother's funeral. She furtherexplainedthey had not returned until about I:OOwn
on Tuesdayso she instructed Nicholas to stay home for anotherday. Sheadded that she
left a message on the school's attendance line aboutone-halfhour prior to when the
shooting was said to have started.

I bad left a telephone message for JDe Pitoniak whom was said to havereported
Lumley's presence at the school that day. This was in an effort to further identify other

the lead,

OnJune 16, 1999, at about 1130 hours, l cornacred witness SaraLutes by telephone. The purpose forcontacting SaraLutes was
to interview her about the shooting that occurred al Columbine HighSchool on 4-20-99, Sara is a studenrat Columbine High
School.

Sara Lutes advised me on 4-20-99, at 0715 hours, she arrived at Columbine High School and went into the cafeteria. Sara
advised me that she selected a tablenear the bottom of the stairsand sal down at this table.facing in a westerly direction, Sara
said she was with the following students: Adam Oliver. ChrisRiley, and Joe Murello. [asked Sara Lutes if she recalled seeing
any duffle bags and/orpropane tanks in the cafeteria of Columbine High School. however, she said she did not see either item
Sara advised she was in the cafeteria until0725 hours when sheleft and wentto thesecond level of the highschool to herhistory

peoplethat were in the area of the science hallway or the libraryof Columbine High School. Sara advised me that whenshe got
out of her history class she went to her language arts class,which is from0820 to 0915, then went to her math class in the math
hallway.This class is from 0925 until ]015. Sara advised me 'he had fourth hour off and 'aid that at approximately 1115 hours
on 4-20-99she had left ColumbineHighSchool and got into her vehicleand said she picked up her boyfriend,AdamOliver.in
the teacher', parking lot. Sara advised they then left the area of the high schooland went to the Subway Sandwichshop at Coal
Mine and Pierce. Sara advised when she tried to return to Columbine High Schoolon 4-20-99, at approximately 1145 hoursshe
was unable to return due to the police presence in the area of the high school and was stopped from going any closer at South
Pierce and West Walker.

I asked Sam Lutes if she knew who the "Trench Coat Mafia"students weretharartendedColumbineHigh School. Sara said she
did notknowexactlywho they were,however. she knewthat they hungaroundtogether III a group and stayedto themselves Sara
saidthat mostof the "Trench Coat Mafia' students wouldwear blackclothing and trenchcoats. Sara said that she had neverhad
a conversation with any of the "Trench COl\! Mafia" students, however. I asked Sara if she recalled seeing any of the "Trench
Coat Mafia" studentswhile she was in the cafeteria or hallways of Columbine High School on 4-20-99 Sara said that she did
not recallseeing themat either location. She said while theywere in the cafeteria. they usually gather in a group on the west side-
ofthe cafeteria near the windows. She said that they also tend to gather between classes and lunch time underneath the stairways
of the cafeteria. Sara said she did not recall seeing them at either location on 4..20-99,

I asked Sara Lutes what other i.nformation she may possibly have about the "Trench Coat Mafia." She said that they are not a
gangand are a group of "outcaSts" who in'the past decidedto whereblackclothing and trenchcoats. She said as far as she knows
the studentsat ColumbineHigh School are the ones that put the "TrenchCoat Mafia" name to these students. Sara saidthat she
is familiar with Alex Marsh,whoSara said is a pricr t'Trench Coat Mafia" student, however, is not any more. She said thatAlex
wouldwearblackjeans and alwayswore blackclothing. Sara saidthatin the spring of 1998 she had Alex Marsh in her American
Studies class and the teachers of this class were Mrs. Eggersand Mr. Moore. Sara said that Alex Marsh was very smart and
tended to correct other students and the teachers so thesepeopledid not like her very much. Sara also described Alex as being
"bossy" Sara Lutesadvised me that although she did not hear the Statements made by Alex Marsh, in 1998Sara said that Alex

I telephonically interviewed the above listed witness on 081199. Maddux


reported that she has not been interviewed by police regarding the
Columbine High School shooting prior to this date.

Maddux was at school on 042099, however only for a brief period pick up
her homework. After picking up her assignments, she and her family went
to Washington, D.C. This was verified with her father Henry Maddux
081099.
Maddux reported to having no prior knowledge of this incident and reported
to not knowing either Harris or Klebold.

On June 14, 1999.at about lOIS bours, 1telephonedJosephMallon, doh/Q9..19-81. at his residence,(303) 932-1131,concerning

the incident that occurred at Columbine High School on 4-20·99, Mallon said that he left Columbine High School at
approximately 1115 hours through the main doors of the commons, further describing the exit entrance with the canopy. Mallon
stated that fourthperiodhe had math class. Mallonstaredthat after leavingthe commonsareahe walked to a vehiclein thesenior
parking lot, Mallon stated that the vehicle he went to was locatedin the first row next to the handicapspots. Mallonstated that
he was there a short period of time and then walked up the steps located on the southwest comer of the school to the west
entrance/exit and met his mend, Josh Swanson.

Mallonstated that after getting with his friend, Swanson, theyleft the school the same way by walking down the southwest steps
nd into the senior parking lot. Mallon stated that Eric Chrismer also was with them and that they all got into the vehicle and
left the senior parking lot, via the south entrance exit. Mallen stated that he did not see anything unusual in school that day, to
includewhile he was exiting the school and returning back to the school. Mallon stated that he knew both Dylan Kleboldand
Eric Harris. but never saw them on 4-20-99. Malloncontinuedto slatethat he had howlingclass on 4-20-99,at 6:30 a.m, Mallon
further stated that he knew Eric Harris and Dylan KJebold from howling class and that they were not there that day

Mallonstated that he also was aware of the "Trench Coat Mafia" and described them as a click, "Gothic," and individuals who
wore dark clothing.

1specifically asked Mallonifha had seen Eric Harris or DylanKJehold when he walked to the parking lot the first time, and when
he was returning to the school's west entrance, to which he replied no. I then asked if he saw Eric or Dylan when he exited the
school and walked to the senior parking lot, to which again he stated he did not. I then again asked Mallon if he saw anything
unusual or heard anything unusual during that period ofthne, to whieh he replied no.

the class lasted from0730 to 0820 hours. After this class Monicasaid she left the school with a friend of hers by the nameof
Brenda Simmons, and rode with Brenda to a marketing banquet in Denver. Monica said after the banquet Brenda Simmons
brought her back to Columbine H.S. where she got out of Brenda's vehicle and got into her vehicle and then drove horne
Monica said this was at approximately 1015 to i030 hours, on 4·20·99. and said she did not enter the scbool at that arne.
Monica said on no time on 4·2Q..99 did she see anything out of the ordinary and said she did not remember seeing any of the
Trench Coat Mafia students on 4-20-99.

Monica Malonson said when she was in the 8" grade at Ken Caryl Middle School. she had Dylan Klebold in a science class
with her. She said she did not rememberanythingabout DylanKlebold ether-hac 10 say he was nice to her and he did notwear
a trench coat during that time. She said she knew who Eric Harris was because quite sometime ago a mend of hers named
JeanetteOberg (7261 South Ingalls Way, Littleton. CO 80123,(303)979-3273) had a parryat Oberg's residence and Eric Harris
went to this pony. She could not recall who Eric came to the party with, but said he was not withDylan Klebold. Monicasaid
.he would see Dylan Klebcld and Eric Harris out in the parking lot of ColumbineHigh School, next to a gray vehicle with a
"Rammenstein' sticker On the back of it. She did not know if this vehicle was Dylan Klebold's or Eric Harris's vehicle.

Monica said she did not see any duffel bags or propane tanks such as those later recovered in the Columbine H S. cafeteria,
either in the school or being carried. She said she has not heard about anybody else being involved with Dylan Klebcld and
EricHarris,nor hasshe heard anythingabout anybody manufacturing explosivesdevices,aad/orpossessing or selling firearms.

I asked Monica if she knew any of the victims, She stated she knew who Isaiah Shoels was and had talked to him. I asked
Monica if she had ever seen any type of racial intimidationor harassmentagainst Isaiah Shoels at Columbine H.S. She 'aid
she hadnever seen any and said he wasvery well liked by everybody at the school. She also said she never saw anyof the other
minority students at Columbine H.S being harassed or intimidatedwith racial overtones.

I asked Monicaand her father, RichardMalonson (Richard waspresentduringmy interviewwith Monica Malonson) how they
have doing since the incident on 4·20-99. They stated they hadproblems in the days tbat followed the sheeting, and problems

On 061)4.99 I contacted Celine Marquez. Caitlin' 5 mother, at home by phone. At that time I told Celine that
I needed to find out where Caitlin was during her Sl1l bout the dayof the shooting. Celine stated that Caitlin
is the girl who has the restraining order against a football piayer that she used to date, which bas been in the
paper Celine stated that Caitlin had heard that be was going to be in the library during her SlIt hour so she
left schoolat to 45 AM and went home. 'W"nen she returned to school she ran into that roadblock,so she
went looking for her brother in the park and when she found him they went home together

INVESTIGATION:

I telephonically interviewed Chas Marquez on 081199. He reported that he


has not been interviewed by police regarding this incident prior to this date.
He was not at school when the shooting incident took place. he was at a
friends house for lunch. He reported to being in Spanish class with teacher,
Mrs. Freund just prior to lunch. He left his Spanish class and walked to
lunch with Peter (Ll\Iu). He thinks he left campus at around 1110 hours. He
reported seeing nothing unusual on this day as he left the school. When he
and Peter were walking back to school they saw students running out the
school in a panic. He then heard that there was a shooting going on inside of
the school. He was then turned away from the school by a baseball coach
(unidentified). He went over to Peter's house until his sister drove him
home later in the day.
He reported to never seeing the shooters or hearing anything, just the
students running away from the school. He did not know any of the TCM
members and reported [0 having no prior knowledge of this incident.

On 5/24/99, SA Traver contacted Amanda Martinez by phone, to ascertain his whereabouts on
4/20/99, during s~ period.
NARMTIVli!;
1, Martinez stated that she left the school after fourth period through the main
entrance, and went with Lauren Martinez, to get her car. Lauren lives on Reed St., in
close proximity to the school, and Amanda routinely parks her car in front of Lauren'S
house
2, They went to the Bagel shop on Bowles Ave. While at the bagel shop she heard that a
teacher had been shot, there were two teachers at ~he bagel shop and she asked if they
should go back to the school By the time they left and headed back to Lauren's house
all the streets were already blocked off.
3 She did not hear or see anything when she and Lauren exited the front doors of the
school.

turned their car around and left.

On 5·17·991 spoke with the parents of James Mathis. James was reported to be in the 5'" hour lunch. The
lead was to determine where he was at the lime of the eventon 4-20-99. Mrs. Mathis told me James
transferred to Littleton Opinions High School in 1998. He has not returned to Columbine. Lead closed.

INVESTIGATION:
On 05-25·99,1 spoke with Joel McConmck. This lead was to determine his whereabouts during fifth period as records reflect
he had this period free. During my interviewwith McCormick. he told me he had left school at about 1115hours,after attending
his Governmem Economics class. This class is on the east sideofthe building next to the main administrationoffice. Afterthe
class was over. he went to the commons area. via the hallwaynextto the gym.where he met two of his friends. He said they met
next to the Rebel store right at the bortom of the stairs, and exitedthrough that doorway into the parking 'ot. I asked McCormick
if'he saw anything unusualin the commonsarea while he was there.and he said he did not, I asked lum if he saw a duffle bag,
and he SOld he did not. McCormick said they then walked to his vehicle, which is a blue Subaru Outback in space #126, They
..ien left and went to Tortilla Wraps for lunch,

I asked while they were in the parking and walking to his vehicle, ifhe had seen anything suspicious, and he said he did not.
He was asked if he had seen anyone in trench coats. and he said no.

He said after eating lunch, they tried returning to the school, but saw numerous emergency vehicles responding into the area.
He said he pulled into Clement Park and was contacted by several other students, who told him then: had been a sheering at the
school.

I asked McCormick if there was any additional information he could tell me about, and he said he was in Video Production for
first hour and knew who Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were, as they would come into the class, but he never spoke with them
directly about anything. 1asked him if there was anythingelse he could ten me in relation to this investigation, and he said he
did not have any additional information.

Ryanhad school the day of the shooting, but only had Ist,2nd, and3rd hour
classes. He was off 4th hourand lunch. He went homefor lunch and returned to find the
schoolsecured and the streets closed. His teachers told him whatwas happeoing.

INVESTIGATION

On 081799, I telephonically interviewed Betty McGrath, the mother of


student Ryan McGrath. Ryan was not available for contact, so Betty
provided the following information. Ryan was s at school on the 20th of
April. His fourth hour was free so he went home for lunch. When he
attempted to return to the school he realized there was a problem. He called
his mother, Betty on his cell phone and advised her of his safety and
whereabouts. Because he was not at school during the incident Ryan did not
see or hear anything relating to the incident.
Ryan has classes wit Harris in the current semester and knew Klebold too,
He was not a close associate with them. Betty recalls Eric being in their
backyard when he was in seventh grade playing football.
Betty said that her son had no prior knowledge of this incident and could
provide no further details.

INVESTIGATION:
On 05.24·99, I spoke with Kelly Mclntosh. This lead was to determine her whereabouts during fifth period as records reflect
she had tbis period free. McIntosh told me 'he badJUSt finished a project in the Chemistry Lab which is next to the Science room.
When fourth hour was completed. she walked to her locker. and then went to the Junior parking lot. along with several girls, who
were to meet at Einstein Bagels, She said those individuals were Kelly Cruz. Christine Clark, and Melissa Clark She said
Melissa Clark drove her own car which is a purple Saturn. and she went with Kelly Cruz in a red Nissan truck along with
Christine Clark. She said as they left the parking lot, they did 001 see anything in the parking lot that seemed suspicious. She
did not recall seeing anything suspicious all day long within the school.

Mclntosh said she knows who Eric Hams and Dylan Klebold were. but did not associate with them. She said their dress bothered

her because of the black trench coats. but did not know what their beliefs were. Mcintosh said she was not aware that something
had oc-curred at school. until they attempted to return and were stopped by emergency vehicles, and were directed to go to L1e
public library on Bowles

I asked Mcintosh if she had any information that would be of assistance to this investigation, an ' she said she did not

On 5/13/99, SA Traver met with Greg Mellinger, at REI, located at 5375 S. Wadsworth Blvd.,
Littleton, colorado, Mellinger had previously contacted the Columbine task force, with
information that on the Friday before the Columbine incident I Klebold, Harris, or both had
made cash purchases from the REI store, Apparently Klebold was a member of REX, however
~he transactions on 4/16/99, were cash transactions.

1. On 5/12/99, SA Traver contacted Greg Mellinger at REI, in Littleton. Also present was
~hai Nguyen a clerk, who claimed to have waited on Klebold or Harris. Nguyen stated
that on 4/16/99 there had been a tall skinny, white kid, possibly 6'1# to 6'2", wearing
a long black trench coat, and definitely a high school aged kid. He was with another
kid also wearing a black trench coat, about 5'8# to S,gw, who was also white and high
school aged. He stated they purchased 4 to 6 small bottles of propane. After seeing
the pictures of Harris and Klebold the followlng week on television, he was sure it was
c hera .
2. Mellinger added that they did have register tapes showing the purchase of propane and
kerosene. He also explalned that REI is a co-op and keeps records of purchases by its
co-op members However, the individual who purchased these items, requested that it
not go on his co-op account and paid cash. Mellinger further stated that any records,
such as member co-ops purchase records and register receipts, would require a subpoena,
before they could be turned over to law enforcement,

the propane and kerosene is sold.

corporate headquarters. in order to serve a subpoena and inqvire about the crown
distributer. He also stated that he would place the store security officer in touch
with SA Traver for an interview.
6. On 5/18/99, SA Traver contacted Annette Wall by telephone. Wall stated that a subpoena
or search warrant woul~ be required to get any records from REI, and that she would
locate the name and n~er of the Crown distrihutor,

On 5-19-99,Inv. Reker did interview Milam at his
residence and no parents were present.
Milam states that he had been in the cafeteria at
approx. 9:45 and did not observe anything unusual,and that at
approx. 11:00 he left the school to go home for lunch and did not
observe anything unusual in the parking lot.
He returned to school at approx. 12:00 to find the
school blocked off and so he went back home.
When he had been int the cafeteria earlier he was with
Jolee Gallegos and a girl named Molly (UTu).
The interview was concluded at this time

On 06-15-99, at about 1009 hours, I contacted the listed phone number of 933-7265 and spoke with Loralyn Miyashiro
Miyashiro stated that she was not ill the school during the incident, She staled that just poor to lunch she had Math with
"Irs. Alma Moore, Miyashiro stated thatclass got OU! at ] 1: 10, Shestated she thenwentto her friend. LeanaGroskopf's tacker
(unknown location) and thenout throughthe Commons to thejuniorparking101. I asked if by the "Commons" she meant the
cafeteria and she saidshe did. I asked her if she noticed anything unusual in the school, in particular the Cemmons or cafeteria
area. Miyashiro said shewasn't noticing muchof anything other than the factshe was really hungry. Miyashiro stated that she
made her friend cut all conversation short so tluu they go toeat, Miyashiro said theywent to thejunior parkinglOt to her car.
Shestated she doe. not know what space she parkedin, I asked if she noticed anything unusualor any cars parked in unusual
places andshe stated shedid not, Miyashiro statedtheywent to lunch at Safeway, when: theyget cookies. She stared she then

I asked Miyashiro if shekneweither Dylan K1ellold or Eric Harris. She stated ilia' she bad met Klebold through Brooks Brown
on oneoccasion, but hadn't had anyreal conversation with him. I asked her if she had seenhim on that day and she stated she
