How do you know what a cat is feeling? Cats and felines have emotions just as you and I do. Felines can feel angry, lonely, happy, sad, and many other feelings. You can distinguish how they are feeling by their body movement, hissing, meowing, purring, and growling. Now, cats can show happiness by purring, rubbing against your legs and if you are sitting down they will lay on your lap. You will also know when a cat is feeling sad or lonely because it will start taking you somewhere but at the end never takes you anywhere. Also, they wander around the house going nowhere. When cats feel lonely, they go away for some time and then they come back. They do this because they feel that their owner doesnt want them (for example when the owner is on holidays or does not take the time to scratch their backs). When cats are angry they go away and hide from people and if you come too close, they will puff up and hiss. If you keep on insisting, they will scratch or bite. You can also know when a cat is angry because it will flatten its ears, wag their tail and start hissing. When cats have their ears flat, they will have them facing backwards, meaning that you will see the outside furry part of their ears, not the inside part.

This cat is really mad and is saying "stop annoying me". You can see that this cat has its ears backwards and has its mouth open because it is hissing.
What do cats eat? Cats eat many things but what they like the most is meat. Many people say that felines are great hunters. Cats love to hunt for fish, birds and rodents. Cats, when inside the house, show their inner self, the little kitty inside them. But when outside, they are hunting machines.Cats eat also normal pet food and as treat sometimes meat. Cats love to be around when dinners are held because sometimes food falls to the ground and they can get it. Sometimes you fall to the enchantment of cats meaning that you give them too much food and they dont eat it all. Or if they eat it all, they become very fat.

This cat is playing with a little feathery toy. It has a long stick and colorful feathers.
Petting your cat Cats love to receive attention. They usually like being scratched behind their ears, underneath their chin and on their bellies. Cats also love to be petted at the beginning of their tail. When they are not in the mood for massages they just like to hang around their owners and cuddle beside them. Sometimes belly-rubbing can be a trap for the owners ngers. Why is this? If a cat exposes its belly, it can mean two things. One, it wants to be rubbed. And two, it is exposing all four paws to defend itself. This is why it is very important to read all the cats body language before assuming it is looking for a tummy rub.
You can see that this cat is really happy because it has its eyes closed and is letting the person who is scratching its chin scratch it. You can even hear it purring!
This cat is happily sleeping. But as you can see its ears are backwards so he might be having a nightmare.
- Why do cats bring prey into the house? Cat are very good hunters. They love to chase and hunt little animals. Cats usually bring their catch inside and present it to the owner. Why is that? Because cats feel that your are a little kitten that still cant catch prey. Sometimes they bring live prey inside so you can try to catch it. Imagine a running mouse in your living room!!
These cats are hunting birds and mice. I'm sure that now they are going to go back to the house and show their disgusted owner.
