Fellowship Program 2013 Information About
The Ivy Sports Symposium is an annual student-run conference that is considered one of the global sports industrys premier events. The Symposium enables the industrys leaders and most successful executives to share invaluable knowledge with their peers and potential successors. The event rotates among Ivy League institutions. The 2013 Ivy Sports Symposium will be held on Friday, November 22 at Harvard Law School. Established in 2006 by Chris Chaney at Princeton University, the Ivy Sports Symposium sets the standard for college-based sports business conferences. The intimate setting combined with engaging content and dynamic speakers makes it a must attend event every year.

Fellowship Program
The Ivy Sports Symposium Fellowship Program was created in 2011 to provide talented graduate and undergraduate students with the unique opportunity to gain in-depth experience working on one of the industrys most respected events and the organization surrounding it. Each year, the Ivy Sports Symposium selects one-two (1-2) students to provide hands-on support on a variety of Symposium ventures. The Fellow works closely with the Executive Director and the Planning Committee on several important organizational tasks including, but not limited to: Assisting with Symposium event execution Coordinating committee (e.g. Advisory Committee, Young Leaders Committee, etc.) activities Managing Symposium sponsors Recruitment of Symposium speakers Assistance with publicity through social media and Symposium website

Details
Unpaid fellowship program 12 months (June 2013 through late May 2014, exact dates mutually agreed upon) Requires 10-15 hours per week working remotely o The 2-3 months preceding the Symposium generally require 15-20 hours per week to prepare for the event o The final 2-3 months of the fellowship generally require 1-10 hours per week Please direct all questions to jfadale@sportssymposium.org

Application Timeline May 17, 2013: Deadline for application submissions. May 24, 2013: Fellows will be notified by email of their acceptance.

Eligibility Criteria
Full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university Must be graduating no earlier than Spring 2014

Selection Criteria
Quality of application Demonstration of interest in a future career of leadership in sports Preference is given to candidates with prior work/internship experience in the sports industry or related fields The Ivy Sports Symposium complies with all equal opportunity laws
