OVERVIEW:
Shaikhupura is an industrial city and capital of Sheikhupura District in the province of Punjab about 35 km northwest of Lahore in Pakistan. Its total population is 857,000. Our foremost aim is to think big, by build and sustain a world-class airport system which facilitates to develop a modern & safe airport system that is environmentally responsible; provides world-class service; and contributes substantially to the national economy. Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is a regulatory authority, which oversees and regulates all aspects of civil aviation in Pakistan. CAA is a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

NEED OF AIRPORT:
There is an increasing demand from private Pakistani airlines and international airlines which operate the domestic and international operations. In modern era every person wants the services at their door step. Many airlines are increasing their frequency so the Sheikhupura international airport is able to cater to the growing needs of overseas and domestic passengers. STRUCTURE:
Airport will be divided into land side and air side areas. Land side area includes parking lots, public transportation and access roads. Airside includes accessible to aircraft including the runways, taxiways and ramps. Passenger will access the aircraft through terminals and there will be three terminals named as Hajj Cargo International flights

It will have a capacity of 5 million passengers annually. The building is linked via connecting corridors to two satellites, each having a provision of eight passengerloading bridges. The eastern satellite is devoted exclusively to handling international operations. The western satellite is used for domestic operations, as well as some international operations. This is achieved through a flexible arrangement of gates. The two satellites supplement the departure lounges of the terminal building and also provide shopping facilities, mobile recharging points, and snack countersuits cost will be about 150 million us dollar. The cip lounge can be used by all first and business class passengers on all outbound flights. There will be number of banks to facilitate the passengers. There will also be a maintenance network. At the ground floor there will be head offices. The airport has two runways measuring 3,200m and 3,400m in length respectively. Runways, 25r/07l and 25l/07r each have a width of 46 m (250 ft). The runways have capacity to handle 15 flights per hour and it accommodates simultaneous landing and takeoff. Runway 07l/25r is equipped with ILS to guide landing aircraft safely under very poor weather conditions and also allowing planes to land in low visibility conditions, such as fog. The taxiway is able to handle 12 aircraft at any one moment while the parking area measures 266,000 sq meters and is able to accommodate 42 aircraft, 12 of which through air bridges linking them directly with the terminal building. In addition to this, there are remote parking bays for 20 aircraft. Black forces will control the security means wearing the black t-shirts and there will be a wall around the airport and hurdles at the entry and exit system. There will be body scanners for gents and ladies will check by the black force ladies by keeping in mind the Islamic values.
