KACM Fundraiser April 28
The image of Jesus the Good Shepherd is one of the most powerful and comforting images in the New Testament. In todays Gospel Jesus proclaims, My sheep hear my voice; I know them and they follow me. In our world today we sometimes respond to other voices calling our attention away from Christ. In what ways do you hear the voice of the Shepherd calling you to follow him?

Our bi-annual marriage prep workshop is taking place THIS WEEKEND! This is a friendly reminder that the entire UCC is reserved from Friday at 5 p.m. until Saturday evening (around 5 p.m.). We ask that the building be vacated and that no one wander into the UCC during this time, in order to give our couples discerning marriage a chance to really get into the workshop. Thank you!

Project Life and Liberty Campaign is underway. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has requested that parishes conduct this postcard campaign by the end of April. This postcard signing initiative supports and strengthens laws that (1) prevent federal funding and promotion of abortion, and (2) protect rights of conscience in health care. You can find these postcards in the racks at the entrances of the Church at St. Austin. We encourage you to fill them out and mail them to your respective senators and representative.

Spiritual Discernment
Signs of a Vocation (7 of 9)
Have STRUGGLES and DOUBTS. Anyone who is afraid to question might be seeking security, rather than a lifes choice that has uncertainties. Any way of life has unknown events, both good and bad. If you experience doubts, it doesnt necessarily mean that you are in the wrong lifestyle. Rather, it could mean you fully understand the depth of commitment that life demands. Someone who buries his/her head in the sand will never know doubt, but will never know reality either. For the complete list, please visit utcatholic.org/vocations/signs/
The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist invite mothers and daughters to join them for a Day of Reflection on May 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day will include Mass, lunch, talks by the sisters, as well as the opportunity to just spend time together. All mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts and cousins are welcome to come and learn more about their dignity and vocation as women in the heart of the church. The cost is $35, which includes lunch. To register, simply enter this link in your browser and fill out the form: utcath.us/82
