Subject: UPDATING THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOL
To take into account the new systems on the Elystar, the diagnostic tool must be updated (adding of diagnostic functions for the 4-stroke injection system and the ABS/PBS braking system, and also calibrations for the Elystar 125cc and 150cc). We would remind you that a 4-stroke engine requires a running-in time of 500 to 1000 km before giving normal performance. In addition, we have introduced as standard a new mapping for the Elystar 125 cc as from VIN: VGAH2AB0030002394. This is available by downloading the update using the procedure below. We would ask you to update your diagnostic tool in order to be able to upgrade the ECU's of your machines (stock or demonstration) and also those of your customers when they bring them into the workshop. We upgraded the ECU's of our stock of spare parts on 25th July 2002. At the same time we upgraded our stock of cartridges part numbers 755806 and 755807. All ECU's and cartridges ordered before this date must be upgraded before putting into service. You will find the diagnostic tool update procedure and that for the machines in the workshop documentation the title of which is "Use of the diagnostic tool for the injection system" which you received with the Looxor injection documentation.

After selecting the C or D button you obtain the interactive window opposite which enables you to download the upgrade file by ticking the "Enregistrer ce fichier sur le disque"(Save this file on the disc) line then click on OK

If this is your first download, create a directory as follows: "c :\mes documents\outildiag" to save the file in it. Click on Enregistrer (Save) The upgrade file is saved in the directory C :\mes documents\outildiag under the name 755806.dcb for Europe or 755807 for the Export countries

The cartridge upgrade procedure is available on the same web site (by clicking on E or F) and also in the workshop documentation "Using the diagnostic tool for the injection system" which you received with the Looxor injection documentation.

For dealers who have no Internet access, a diskette may be supplied for 15 which will be debited directly from your account. Please submit your request by mail, specifying your dealership code, for the attention of Chantal Emon Peugeot Motocycles DC/PS/ATR Mandeure 25706 Valentigney Cedex The 3"1/4 diskette download procedure will be available until 30/06/2003 at the latest, after which connection to the Peugeot Motocycles site will be necessary.
