ST.

JOSEPH, HUSBAND OF MARY – (March 19th)

Although we know little about St. Joseph, what we do know

shows what extraordinary trust was placed in him as the guardian of
Mary and Jesus. Because of his role in the Holy Family he is the patron of
families. Outwardly there was nothing unusual about Joseph’s daily life, BIBLE READINGS
and so many Catholics can identify with his ordinary labors as a FOR THE WEEK
carpenter and his devoted care for his family. We know that he was a
strong man, a pure man, a prayerful man, and a wise one.
Since Joseph does not appear in Jesus’ public life, at His death, or MONDAY
resurrection, many historians believe Joseph probably had dies before March 16th
Jesus entered public ministry. Weekday
Joseph is the patron of the dying because, assuming he died
2 Kings 5:1-15  Lk 4:24-30
before Jesus’ public life, he died with Jesus & Mary close to him, the way
we all would like to leave this earth. TUESDAY
Joseph is also patron of the universal Church, fathers, carpenters, March 17th
& social justice. St. Patrick
We celebrate two feast days for Joseph: March 19th for Joseph the Dan 3:25, 34-43

There is much we wish we could know about Joseph – where and
when he was born, how he spent his days, when and how he died. But WEDNESDAY
Scripture has left us with the most important knowledge: who he was – March 18th

Prayer:
Saint Joseph, patron of the universal Church, watch over the THURSDAY
