The combat element of PAC consists of 3 parachute infantry battalions namely 8 RRD, 17 RAMD and 9 RAMD. It is able to independently conducts an operation albeit for a limited duration. Therefore it has organic combat support and service support elements such as an armored squadron, an artillery regiment, an engineers squadron, transport company, support company etc. Being a parachute brigade does not limit 10 BDE PARA to just air drops but also were trained in amphibious landing and air mobile deployment. In fact 9 RAMD secondary specialty is amphibious operation while 8 RRD is in air assault using helicopters. Each of the parachute infantry battalions took turns as Leading Battle Group and would be ready for deployment within hours. Unit Recognition
