* for adhesive recommendations, see latex screed column N.B. Adhesives stated are direct to the subfloor. With AltroFix 365 on impervious substrates, allow complete evaporation before laying. Altro Acoustic Underlay 1101 - The same adhesive as quoted above should be used to bond both the underlay to the subfloor and floorcovering to the underlay.

Altro only approves the adhesives recommended here; always follow detailed application and usage instructions on data sheet or as supplied with adhesive. Alternative adhesives may be available from other suppliers which are suitable for bonding the Altro range but due to the possibility of changes in formulation, we do not accept

responsibility in the event of failure. All direct to ground subfloors should incorporate a DPM. Unit coverage of AltroFix adhesives will depend upon subfloor, trowel size etc. See full laying details for each floor product for complete recommendations.

Type and application guide

A single part high tack acrylic copolymer. Apply to dry dust-free subfloors. In areas not subject to spillage. Two part polyurethane adhesive. Apply to dry dust-free subfloors. Flooring may require weighting down and must not be trafficked while setting. After setting, this adhesive is not affected by spillage of water and most other liquids. Not suitable for vertical surfaces. Two part polyurethane conductive adhesive. Contact adhesive. Apply to dry dust-free subfloors, but not bituminous or asphalt surfaces. Floor can be used immediately after laying. Solvent content necessitates good ventilation during use. Should be used for coving and vertical surfaces. A specially formulated two part resin adhesive. Apply to dry dust-free subfloors. For use in areas subject to spillages. A one part high tack acrylic adhesive. Apply to dry porous and impervious surfaces in areas not subject to spillage.

Coverage guide (depending upon subfloor and application method)

Approx. 35-40m2 per 12kg pack, depending on application and subfloor porosity. Average coverage 15-20m2 per 10kg pack and 7.5-10m2 per 5kg pack.
