As a 2013 graduate of Nevada State College, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education and a Summa Cum Laude honor student, I am prepared and ready to contribute to your school district while utilizing my skills and knowledge in an elementary school setting. In order to prepare for this opportunity, I have completed 71 credited hours of educational courses, 50+ hours of observation field experience, and 20 weeks of tutoring elementary grade level students within the Teacher Preparation Program at Nevada State College. I have also successfully completed 16 weeks of student teaching in a second grade class at Robert Taylor Elementary, Title 1 School. Within my student teaching experience, I worked with ELL students, special needs students, and emotionally disturbed students. I also currently possess a CCSD Nevada Substitute Teaching License. Being a substitute teacher within CCSD, as well as a student teacher, I have gained valuable classroom experience, such as classroom management skills, organizational skills, and differentiated instruction strategies. I am very interested in becoming a part of your team. I have always had a passion for education and a love for all children. I have excelled academically and have had rewarding experiences with applying my skills in the classroom. I have grown and developed in the areas of each domain within the Charlotte Danielsons Framework for teaching to meet the needs of my students based on their strengths and abilities.
