Teacher will instruct the pupils to follow the steps given by teacher oh how to look up the meaning of the word castle in a picture dictionary. Pupils use the treasure map on page 22 as a template. Remove the landmarks. After a few times, pupils will sing the song on their own. Teacher will asks the pupils to draw the landmark on a template. Reading Content Standard: 2.1- By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to apply knowledge of sounds of letters to recognise words in linear and non-linear texts. Learning Standard: 2.1.1- Able to recognise and articulate initial, medial and the final sounds in single syllable 2 Bijak 4 8.20 9.20 pm English words within given context. 2.1.2-Able to blend phonemes into recognizable words and read them aloud Activities: 1) Pupils will take out their textbook. 2) Teacher will guide the pupils to sound the letters. 3) Pupils will try to articulate the phonemes in the words and say the words aloud. 4) After a few times, pupils will try to recognize the words with same initial sounds on their own. 5) Teacher will check the pupils pronunciation of the words.
