ADVANCED IMAGE PROCESSING AND ITS APPLICATIONS

Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU), named after the famous Tamil Scholar Professor P. Sundaram Pillai, was established on 7 September, 1990. The campus is situated in a land area of 546.98 acres at Abishekapati on the outskirts of Tirunelveli, 4 kms. from the municipal limits on the Tirunelveli-Tenkasi highway. All the University departments are receiving research projects from several funding agencies in India, Europe, USA, Japan and UNO. The University is having 27 departments and is offering Graduate, Post-graduate, M.Phil (Full time and Part time). and Ph.D (Full time and Part time) programmes. ABOUT TEQIP The Ministry of Human Resource Development launched in December, 2002 the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme of Government of India (TEQIP) which aims to improve and support quality of technical education. The Programme was designed to be implemented in 3 phases to support transformation in Technical Education in the country. TEQIP Implementation at the National and State level are maintained by National Project Implementation Unit (NPIU) and State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU). Based on the achievements made during TEQIP Phase-I, TEQIP Phase-II is implemented. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, GCE Salem, GCE Bargur, GCT Coimbatore and ACCET Karikudi are selected to receive funds under TEQIP-II in Tamilnadu.
