ACHIEVING LUCIDITY

By Efs

Lucid Dreaming is the state in which one is fully aware that they are dreaming. Basically, you know you are dreaming, people around the world have lucid dreams without trying, but this article will give you more of an insight on how to achieve lucidity. Wouldn't it be cool to know that you are dreaming? And you can do WHATEVER YOU WANT in your dream? I share some basic information to the people! Modify this article as you wish if it contains false information or any mistakes! Kopimi!
THIS IS NOT MY RESEARCH, ALL I DID WAS RE-WRITE THE FACTS AND COMPILED EVERYTHING INTO ONE DOCUMENT!

How To: Lucid Dream

1) Develop Dream Recall What's the point in lucid dreaming if you're going to wake up in the morning and never realise that you achieved lucidity? Put pen to paper every morning and try to recall what dreams you've had. Think about the colours you saw, the people you saw and what you were doing. Describe everything as detailed as possible and if you can draw what you saw. Read through your dreams every night. 2) Do Reality Checks Throughout the day, ask yourself Am I awake? Jumping in the air (Wait, I can fly?) Look in a mirror (in a dream your image might be altered) Check the time, is this time normal? (Wait a minute, it can't be 13 o'clock!) Lean on a wall (usually in dreams you cannot lean on a wall)

Flip a light switch Hold you're breath Write the letter A on your palm, which stands for awake. And constantly check it. Poke your hand (Why is my finger going through my hand?) Pinch yourself 3) Listen To Some Binaural Beats Frequency Name Usually Associated With:
> 40Hz 1339Hz 713Hz 47Hz < 4Hz Gamma waves Beta waves Alpha waves Theta waves Delta waves Higher mental activity, including perception, problem solving, fear, and consciousness Active, busy or anxious thinking and active concentration, arousal, cognition, and or paranoia Relaxation (while awake), pre-sleep and pre-wake drowsiness, REM sleep,Dreams Deep meditation/relaxation, NREM Sleep Deep dreamless sleep, loss of body awareness

Listening to some Binaural beats can get your mind in prepared for lucid dreaming. It's best to listen to these sounds with high quality headphones for maximum effect. Although these won't definitely make you lucid dream, it might help. 4) Stephen Laberge's MILD Technique Set your alarm clock to wake you up at 4 , 6, or 7 hours of falling asleep (the exact hours of these vary from person to person, and I'm not %100 if the hours I put are correct, so search around the internet for a more accurate response!). This technique focuses more on remembering your dreams, except you usually dream during the REM (rapid eye movement) phase of your sleep cycle and since dreams occur usually in cycles of 60 minutes, you will wake up halfway through the dreams. Why would be want that to happen you ask? Well, interrupted dreams are usually the ones we remember the most. Never use a radio to wake you up though, hearing people talking or a song can distract you dearly, so it's best to use a simple beeping tone. You can also try going to bed and setting your alarm clock 5 hours later, stay up for half 1 hour focusing on lucidity then go back to bed using the MILD technique. 5) Learn How To Prolong Lucid Dreams A dream usually starts to fade out or shake when it's going to end, so by

rubbing our hands in our dreams (assuming you already have achieved lucidity) we prevent the sensation of lying in our beds. Or you can spin around in a circle or fall backwards onto the ground. But when spinning or falling try to visualise your dreams surroundings in your head and concentrate on staying in the dream. I've been lucid dreaming for years and the hardest part about lucid dreaming is keeping the dream and preventing from waking up rather than achieving lucidity. 6) Supplements None of these will necessarily GIVE YOU lucid dreams, but they HELP. Fish oil can help you recall dreams and Vitamin B6 can help increase the vividness of the dream. 5-HTP can increase the odds of having a lucid dream and so can various other amino acids. 7) WILD Technique The wake initiated lucid dream technique is best used once you've had an afternoon nap or only have slept for 3-7 hours previously. Meditate into a calm and focused state, count breaths and image the world, imagine the galaxy! Also try listening to some Theta Waves, this should combine. 8) Once You've Achieved Lucidity If you're one of the lucky ones that made it into the lucid dreaming state then congratulations! It might take months or many years to get to this stage but it is well worth it. Now make the most of it! If you want to fly, just jump like you usually do in real life, except the thing is, you don't come down. You might feel a very weird rush sensation in your chest when flying in a lucid dream, but don't worry! Live out your fantasy and do anything you want, it's your dream and there are no boundaries. Just don't get too excited since excitement increases the chances of ending the lucid dream. Refer back to step 5 to help you prolong lucid dreams. Now enjoy! NOTE: I, Efs, the author of this document have just compiled various information from other websites onto one document in which I wrote, not everything written here is guaranteed safe or to work. So if you have serious sleeping problems or are prescribed on some heavy medication I recommend you avoid Step 4 as it might cause sleep problems I dunno, just better to be safe! ;)
