Slurry is a mixture of solids and liquid. The density of a slurry can be calculated as
m = 100 / (cw / s + (100 - cw) / l) (1)
The slurry concentration by weight can be measured by evaporating a known weight of slurry and measuring the
weight of dried solids.

Yes, Michael, after discussion with Vyacheslav and William, we can proba

plete plant demand and additional 3rd consumers. The demand of the 3rd consumers will be calculated by the respective electricity organ in the technical conditions. We submit only the future demand
city could be included in the 2 X 40 and will result in 2 x 63 MVA (standard capacity which is expected to be received in the technical conditions)

we can probably reduce this with 20 - 30%

The water velocity in copper pipes should be kept within certain limits to avoid erosion, corrosion and excessive noise generation.
in cold water systems the velocities should not exceed 8 feet per second (2.4 m/s)
in hot water systems with temperatures below 140oF (60oC) the velocities should not exceed 5 feet per second
in hot water systems with temperatures above 140oF (60oC) the velocities should not exceed 2 feet per second
Be aware, and take care of, that local velocities in small pipes, bends and similar obstructions can exceed the values above.

Calculation of diaphragms on distribution of water piping

d = diameter of the diaphragm in m

D = internal diameter of the pipe in m
P1 - P2 = pressure drop to be created in bar (Differential pressure)
The calculation of the diaphragms is carried out from the following relation:

Qv = Water flow in m3/s

S = Section of the pipe
r = Density of water in kg/m3 (depends on the temperature)
g = 9.81

One deduces the diameter from the diaphragm (d) by the relation.

The U-value of a construction consisting of several layers can be expressed as

Calculation of false air

False air in the mill inlet lowers the temperature and thereby the drying capacity.
False air at the outlet does not directly influences drying but increase the load on fans and filter
False air is expresed in percente of unmixed gases at the inlet
The amount of false air through the mill and cyclones may be calculated from the contents of O2
and CO2 in the gases when atmospheric air is reckoned to contain 0 % CO2 and 21 % O2
In the following calculation the therm "gas" signifies the unmixed gases and the therm "mixture"
the mixture of false air and gases.
CO2 (gas)- CO2(mixture)

Fan Power Consumption

The ideal power consumption of a fan (without losses) can be expressed as

Pi = dp q (1)
where
Pi = ideal power consumption (W)

dp = total pressure increase in the fan (Pa)

q = air volume flow delivered by the fan (m3/s)
The ideal power consumptions for fans at different air volumes and pressure
increases are expressed in the chart below:

CARBUNI
