How to access the application?

Here are the links for the Fulbright Scholarships Program: http://kabul.usembassy.gov/fulbright.html https://apply.embark.com/student/fulbright/international/20/ The first link provides info and instructions on the program The second one directly takes the applicants to the section where they can submit a preliminary application online. All applicants are required to create an account on the second link in order to submit their application electronically. It is fast, free, and easy. Applications are due May 1, 2013

If you are a new user, click on the Create an account Icon

Fill in the text boxes with the required info accurately. On State/Province select Non-US/Non-Canadian. There is no postal code in Afghanistan just put a number as it is required

Returning Embark Users

Use new email & password and create a new account. Please be advised not to use your last year account. If you submit your application by using your last year account, your application will be automatically archived and we will not be able to print it.

11. Please select 2014-2015, or else we wont be able to find your application. This option on the system will be available effective March 1st, 2013

Another important parts of the application is your future plans. Please be specific and insightful.

In Reverse Chronological Order means start from very recent college, university or school attended.

Select the type of test and the dates if applicable

If you dont have TOEFL/GRE tests score please leave this part blank as we dont require these tests at the first stage of application process

If you have relatives or siblings living in the U.S. please fill in this part. If you dont then leave it blank.

Very Important!! Another fundamental part of your application which plays key role in your selection is your Study Research Objectives. Clearly state what you plan on studying in the States. How will your research affect your future personal/ professional goals Please be specific, insightful & clear in your essays. Personal Statement is different from Study Research Objectives. In this essay you should talk only about your achievements, hardship you have faced so far and how you have handled the challenges encountered. The Application Inspector will check your application for accuracy before submitting it. If there is any error in any part of the application you should fix that part and then you will be able to submit your application.

Please review your application and print a copy for your record. You will not be able to access/print your application after it is submitted
